Alan Keyes says any enforcement of Roe today 'is contrary to reason'
ALAN KEYES — Many people assume that the decision to overturn Roe v. Wade is simply a matter of brute force, as it were -- i.e., achieving political victories that force through the appointment of enough previously convinced pro-life justices to achieve that outcome. Consistent with the injudicious temper of our times, no one appears to believe that rational persuasion, in light of rationally presented historical and constitutional evidence, persuasively argued, will dictate the result.... Proposes taking convicted drug lord's fortune to pay for wall
WORLDNETDAILY — U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, has proposed legislation that would designate funds confiscated from convicted drug lord Joaquin Guzman for border wall construction. To which El Chapo's lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman, scoffed. "Sen. Cruz surely knows that the government has seized none -- not a penny -- of Mr. Guzman's assets so getting him to pay for the wall is ludicrous," the lawyer said, according to CNN. "There's a better chance of Mr. Cruz paying for the wall."... (more)
