NATIONAL REVIEW — Since the moment former CIA counterterrorism officer and House GOP staffer Evan McMullin jumped into the presidential race, he's been ignored, mocked, and dismissed. Few pollsters even bother to list him as an option in their surveys of the race. He's nowhere near the 15 percent threshold to qualify for the debates. CNN hosted prime-time candidate forums for Gary Johnson and Jill Stein and their running mates, but not for McMullin and his running mate, Mindy Finn.... (more)

BOB UNRUH — Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, ordered suspended for the remainder of his elected term in a move that critics have condemned as extralegal, isn't going away quietly. He's not only filed an appeal of the ruling from the Court of the Judiciary, he's also asking that four justices on the current state Supreme Court and three former justices be disqualified from hearing his arguments.... BILL FEDERER — Known as "The Iron Lady" for her stand against communism, Margaret Thatcher was born Oct. 13, 1925. She became the first woman prime minister of the United Kingdom at a time when England's government was facing bankruptcy, unemployment was on the rise, and there were conflicts with labor unions. Margaret Thatcher successfully turned the country around by cutting social welfare programs, reducing trade union power and privatizing several industries.... (more)

CLIFF KINCAID — One of the advantages of having a smart TV is that you can bypass the dumb cable channels, particularly CNN. A smart TV gives you direct access to YouTube channels like Right Side Broadcasting, which covers the Donald J. Trump rallies without commercial interference and endless commentary from liberal talking heads. The crowd at the rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on Monday night broke into cries of "CNN Sucks" when the candidate referred to the channel's disgraceful coverage of the campaign.... (more)

RICH LOWRY — Less than a month before the election, the Republican speaker of the House says he won't defend or campaign with his party's presidential nominee. DAVID FRENCH — Way back in March, my colleague Jonah Goldberg offered the perfect description of the way Trump's endorsers become corrupted: It's the invasion of the body snatchers. They've been taken over by a hostile organism. Sure, they look the same, but, in Jonah's words, "They're different, somehow. They talk funny. They don't care about the same things they used to."... Sounds solid, right? Not so fast -- there are about 907,211 reasons to dismiss this online poll as garbage.... (more)
