Merry Christmas from the Democrats: Don't mess with us!

The Democrats' attempt to derail Donald Trump's candidacy, followed by their ongoing Herculean effort to oust him from the White House, has become a national saga of epic proportions.

Many of us thought that when the ill-advised Mueller probe finally ground to a halt, we could put this painful episode behind us. Instead, we were left with a non-conclusion: no collusion with the Russians and no obstruction of justice, but no exoneration! The Dems made sure the President was still under a cloud of suspicion of...well...something.

Next, they claimed Trump was guilty of a quid pro quo in a phone call with the new President of Ukraine. This would presumably breathe new life into their "Russia Russia" meme and further tarnish President Trump's reputation. But after the long, soporific run of the Mueller show, the public had little appetite for a sequel.

The Dems figured we were just too dumb to know what "quid pro quo" meant, so they changed their talking point to "bribery." Still no public outrage, so they tried "extortion." No dice. So they went with their true intention all along: impeachment! That's got legs. In fact, Congressman Al Green stated publicly, "I'm concerned that if we don't impeach this President, he will get reelected." And here we have the inside scoop on the Democrat's core strategy: cheat.

In the meantime, many of us were hoping the much anticipated IG Report would pave the way for justice by exposing the real criminals and their attempted coup d'etat against a duly elected President. Oops. We'd forgotten Michael Horowitz was an Obama appointee. True to form, he pointed out a number of FBI felonious breaches of due process and established protocol, and then proceeded to give the criminals a pass. For those who recall James Comey cataloguing Hillary's felonious misdeeds as Secretary of State and then exonerating her as having been merely a trifle "careless," this is déjà vu on steroids.

But let's move on to the Dems' Christmas stocking stuffer: impeachment. This is sure to make both their radical Progressive wing and their low-info voters happier than if they'd found an iPhone 11 ProMax in their XMAS stockings. Meanwhile, the rest of us found a couple of lumps of coal in ours: two bizarre articles of impeachment.

I say "bizarre" because the Dems apparently forgot to charge the President with an actual crime. They must have figured they needed to cast a very wide net in which to catch an innocent man, so they chose to accuse Trump of "Abuse of Power." Translation: How dare the President make a phone call to Ukraine! And how dare he try to explore the actual, illegal quid pro quo of one of our own: Sleepy Joe Biden!

Their second Article of Impeachment is equally rich in absurdity: "Obstruction of....Congress." Now, while it's possible for Congress to obstruct a president's agenda for the country – as we've seen the Democrats doing for the past 3 years – how is it possible for a president to "obstruct" Congress? These are two separate, independent branches of government. According to former Federal Prosecutor Robert Ray, the most this amounts to is an inter-branch dispute – not a high crime or misdemeanor. The arbiter in such cases is the Judicial Branch – i.e. the Supreme Court. No wonder Pelosi didn't want to go that route. After all, they'd not only risk losing, but SCOTUS might have the audacity to argue that a partisan witch hunt with no evidence of a crime, masquerading as a legitimate impeachment hearing, flies in the face of both precedent and the Constitution. Ouch. While we can assume the Dems dropped "quid pro quo" and "bribery" because all the evidence shows there was none, why not go with "Obstruction of Justice"? Oh, right. Been there – done that. Didn't fly. Hence the weighty-sounding charge of Obstruction of Congress.

Translation: We're the Boss! Not you Mr. President, and definitely not the voters. And we say: You're fired!

But it's Pelosi herself who recently articulated not only the Democrats' animosity towards President Trump and the 63 million people who voted for him, but arguably the Deep State's message as well. Let's parse a few of the remarks she made during her December 5th press conference, leading up to her core revelation.

When she protests her heart is "full of love," we may assume she's referring to her love of money, power, and taxpayer-funded privileges such as chauffeur-driven limousines, as well as lording it over We the People.

When she remarks that "No one is above the law," we can certainly agree in principle, although this observation coming from her mouth is rife with irony, since she's standing on top of the law even as she utters it.

When she claims she prays for Trump every day, I, for one, believe her; that is, I believe she prays incessantly for his removal from office, by hook or by crook. And some online bloggers have even remarked that whom she prays to is an open question.

When she informs us that Trump's impeachment is important because "it's about the Constitution," I take her at her word. It is about Trump and it is about the Constitution. In fact, it's about trumping the Constitution! It's no secret that Nancy and the ever more radical Dems want to remake the Constitution in their own image: no second Amendment, no Electoral College, etc. And if Trump continues in office long enough, he's likely to end up with one or two more Conservative Supreme Court appointees to his credit. Could this be another reason for the Dems' rush to impeach?

But the big reveal came as Pelosi concluded her off-the-cuff remarks in response to the reporter who'd asked, "Do you hate the President?" Everyone in the country knows the answer to that question, but of course Nancy couldn't admit the truth in public. Nevertheless, albeit inadvertently in an unscripted moment, she blurted it out: "Don't mess with me!"

And this is the underlying message the Democrats, with the aid of their Deep State and media allies, keep hammering home to our President and to the American people: Don't mess with us, don't dare try to drain the Swamp, the Deep State doesn't exist, and don't get in the way of our radical Leftist/Socialist/Marxist/globalist juggernaut. Got it?

Merry Christmas from the Democrats.

I mean, Happy Holidays.
