Don't tell me that I can say what you cannot
By Sylvia Thompson
I have been told on several occasions by conservative Caucasians, "You can say..." (fill in the blank with whatever it is they, as whites, are afraid to say against Barack Obama). I do not accept this statement, because only slaves are denied the right to speak what offends the master. My question to these fellow Americans is "Are you slaves?" If you are not, what then stops you from speaking out against Barack Obama? Against his racism, his flagrant disregard for constitutional law, his vindictive nature, the hidden past that is slowly coming to light, his anti-American former pastor and current associates, his open disdain for the military and all traditional American institutions, his atrocious attacks on Christianity, his aiding and abetting the killing of thousands of unborn children, his support for sodomy, and the sordid list goes on.
Would any white person, President or otherwise, have been allowed to get away with the lawlessness that this person has perpetrated upon this country, with the aid of the progressive left and the lackey media that bolster him?
I am frankly growing very tired of the many "commentaries" on Obama's unlawful behavior, and I seriously doubt that I am alone in my fatigue. The satire and sarcasm that many conservative writers, pundits, and media types use to "talk" a good game against the very serious breaches coming from Obama, are becoming more transparent. While sounding intellectually savvy and tough, and providing comic relief, these people are acting much like court jesters of old.
The jester of the Middle Ages, during which time freedom of speech was not recognized as a right, hid his barbs against the king and the king's reign in satire and comedy. To do otherwise could result in his death at the king's bidding. What is this fear of the color of a small man's skin that causes these modern-day jesters to demean themselves by cloaking their criticism? Obama is one of the worst things, if not the worst thing, that could have happened to this country, and he should be roundly and loudly criticized (no satire, no sarcasm – straight up). He must be actively opposed by every conservative. Conservatives are his only foes. Yet, too many political types among them, cower at his half-blackness.
I suspect that many, many Americans are asking when will politicians and others in positions of power simply say "no." Refuse to obey the federal dictates from the Obama regime. If those dictates are unlawful, why should they be obeyed? If they are harmful, why should they be obeyed? I read recently that Scott Walker (Governor of Wisconsin) refused to cease services in his state at the whim of the Obama administration, under the ruse of the "government shutdown." The color of this man's skin is not the issue here. Neither is the fact that he is the "first" of anything. The fact that he is being used to destroy a free nation is the only issue.
I sense that this fear of being called "racist" harbored by so many political operatives and others in power is wearing thin with everyday Americans. If the leaders (who, after all, are servants of the people) keep doing what they are doing – ignoring the Constitution, ignoring the will of the people, placating Obama because they do not want to be called "racists," playing Washington games – blood will be shed in this nation. Too many people are fed up, and those rational ones among us will not be able to hold them off forever declaring, "We must work through the system."
