There is something that remains a glaring enigma in Joe Biden’s foreign policy towards Iran and its relentless aggression against Israel. Some have speculated that the malign influence of Barack Hussein Obama still negatively governs and influences Joe Biden’s policies, which are so injurious to America’s standing in the world.
Iran’s Supreme leader, Ali Khameini, pours military and financial support to his Shiite terror proxies, Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis, but they now face Israel’s spectacular degrading of their military effectiveness and so the Ayatollah unleashes hundreds of missiles upon Israel from Iranian soil.
But instead of aiding America’s loyal ally, Israel, with a strong U.S. response against the Iranian regime, Biden demurs. Instead, he calls upon Israel not to attack the Iranian nuclear sites which pose the existential and quintessential threat of nuclear aggression. Biden’s empty claims that he supports Israel become increasingly hollow as each Iranian hostile act exposes the failed efficacy of his policies towards the Iranian terror regime. In this he copies the same disastrous policies of his mentor, Barack Hussein Obama, he who proclaimed he had, come to “transform America.”
Joe Biden’s same failure to fully support Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza after the horrific October 7th, 2023, massacre of over 1,200 Israeli civilians by the Hamas monsters, followed by his subsequent month’s long forced delaying tactics imposed upon Israel delayed a final Hamas defeat by Israel. That lays at Joe Biden’s door. He stands guilty of thus aiding and abetting Iran’s aggression against not only Israel but many of the Sunni Arab states in the Middle East. The need to strike a fatal blow against the veritable head of the Iranian terror snake is long overdue and the U.S. is held back by the Biden White House from fully supporting Israel’s ability to save and protect not only itself but much of the world.
Iran’s recent missile attack against Israel followed its earlier rocket attack last April, but Israeli defenses again minimized much of the damage. The Israeli response however needs to be even stronger to deter future Iranian aggression. But will President Biden and VP. Kamala Harris ever agree to allow it. I have grave doubts that they will. The danger is that a weak response to Iran may thus signal global weakness and embolden the Iranian mullahs to commit further horrors.
Israel must be allowed to focus on Iran’s economic vulnerabilities, such as its oil sector. But the Israeli political echelon has refrained from such decisions fearing Iranian civilian economic hardship. Yet Iranian civilians hate their Islamist regime and the maniacal mullahs who make their lives a living hell in so many ways. So, with a potential future support from the current Biden- Harris Administration, Israel would be encouraged to finally attack Iran’s economic lifeline.
A long-awaited shift from proxy warfare to open confrontation with Iran would most likely liberate the Islamic Republic’s long-suffering population and rid the world of decades of misery – not least throughout the Middle East and for the embattled Jewish state. Even as Iranian missiles fall upon Israeli civilians the Arab terrorists who call themselves Palestinians continue committing murder against Israeli civilians. Hardly reported in the mainstream media, six Israeli men and women waiting at a bus stop were recently gunned down by terrorists belonging to the so-called Palestinian Authority. And this happens daily in the Jewish homeland.
In a recent article by Political Scientist, Dr. Majid Rafizadeh, the author writes: “The permissive environment created for Iran by the Biden administration's foreign policy of not just granting it impunity, but actually funding it through sanctions waivers and direct payments, appears to have financed the Iranian regime into acting with increasing aggression.”
And what does President Biden do again and again. He calls for a ceasefire and by doing so saves the malignant Iranian terror regime, thus perpetuating more instability and heartache.
Dr. Rafizadeh adds: “The new "axis of evil" – the alliance between Russia, China, and Iran – has clearly grown stronger under the Biden-Harris administration and has been seeking new frontiers throughout Africa. Most recently, Iran has been trying to establish a major foothold in Sudan's largest coastal city, Port Sudan, from which it could conveniently fire at Israel and continue to block virtually all shipping in the Red Sea.”
And what of the Iranian snake in his lair? Well, the assassination of Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah has intensified scrutiny on Ali Khamenei himself. Internal instability and potential power shifts within the Islamic Republic of Iran may yet arise and present a golden opportunity for strategic U.S. engagement to oust the Islamists in Iran and prevent yet another hardliner from taking the reins of power.
But if Harris and Walz assume power and hopes of a Trump victory on November 5th are dashed, it will be a remote possibility that U.S. foreign policy sanity will ever again prevail, and Iran’s nuclear threat will remain.
May God help us all.
