Class warfare has long been a cynical tactic used by leftists to divide the populace and incite wanton envy among non-producers. The foundational offering of the Democrat Party is and has been to promise free stuff to bribe citizens for their votes; everything from food to housing to childcare to healthcare and more. Traditionally, the free stuff was mostly for the disadvantaged and indigent. The USA has indeed developed a generous welfare system, but now radical Democrat Socialists want to provide virtually everything free to their voters. So, to provide everything free, they need all of our money.

Let them talk, and extremists will tell you who they really are. In a recent interview on the New Yorker Radio Hour, Democrat Socialists of America (DSA) Co-Chair Megan Romer stated their platform is to “tax the hell out of millionaires.” However, when asked what that means? At what rate would she tax the rich, she had no answer. She subsequently was criticized for not having a specific tax plan, but she knew the answer. The Democrat Socialists want all the wealth; their preference is 100% taxes because their goal is communism.

In 2021, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani declared his “end goal is to seize the means of production.” The DSA platform includes transitioning to public (government) control of all major resources, corporations, and production. Folks, that’s straight up Marxism; these leftist renegades are unabashed communists.

Never mind that socialism has never worked anywhere it has been tried or that communism has caused deep poverty and widespread misery or that totalitarian tyrants have murdered millions of their citizens in the last century. The abject failures of communism are well documented in history, but our younger generations are utterly unaware.

Our public education system has failed our country spectacularly. Our youth never learned about the grotesque depredations of Mao, Stalin, Castro, Chavez, and others. Furthermore, they never learned about the unparalleled prosperity established by American capitalism. The American free market system has lifted more people out of poverty and improved the lives of more average folks than any other nation in history, but our schools don’t teach factual history anymore.

Romer knew the answer, but she didn’t want to reveal their sinister plan is to confiscate all wealth. To provide every need for the people, the DSA will need all the wealth, and their ultimate goal is to take it. Their tired leftist mantra is to make everyone pay their fair share, but the top 10% of taxpayers already pay over 70% of taxes and bottom 50% only pay 3% of taxes. Is that fair?

The DSA communists want you to believe their movement is driven by American workers, but that is a bold-faced lie. The vast majority of DSA members are highly educated whites with useless degrees unable to get a good paying job. Skilled American workers are getting good paying jobs and are benefiting immensely from President Trump’s crusade to bring manufacturing back to America. The key to reviving American manufacturing is allowing the rich to invest in America, so American wage earners don’t resent the rich, they appreciate them.

Affordability is still a challenge, but it’s not because we don’t pay enough taxes – it’s because our government wastes so much and allows staggering amounts of taxpayer dollars to be stolen. Persistently high costs are driven by our government spending too much and inflating everything. But that’s the cynical DSA scheme, make everything too expensive for the masses so they have no choice but to rely on government largesse. Make the people dependent and the DSA becomes dominant.

Americans are not fooled. What does the government do well? What government service is satisfactory? Americans know government healthcare is substandard. Government grocery stores will be low quality and short of goods. Ask anyone who lived in Cuba, the Soviet Union, or Chavez’s Venezuela. Working Americans simply want a fair opportunity to provide for themselves.

DSA candidates are snake oil salesmen, but they are hijacking the Democrat Party because they are simply taking Democrat progressive policies to their logical end. It’s not about affordability or workers’ rights; it’s about raw power. They want the absolute power of Kim Jong Un, so they will turn America into North Korea to get it.

The DSA platform is absurd and their promises hollow, but this is a real threat preying on a miseducated public and exploiting the misery of struggling Americans. It may seem silly because it’s so wrong, but it’s a serious threat. America has fought communism for over a century, but now Republicans and moderate Democrats must stand together to purge this scourge from our body politic. Vote like your freedom depends on it because it does.

“For I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing. In my faithfulness I will reward my people and make an everlasting covenant with them” (Isaiah 61:8).
