Munich exposes Democrats' shallowness

With an open seat in the Oval Office in 2028, Democrats are falling all over themselves and each other to break into the race for the Democrat presidential nomination. It’s still early and anything could happen, but Democrat antics to get in front of the cameras are amusing and telling. For some reason, Democrat hopefuls thought that going to the annual Munich Security Conference in Germany would make them look presidential. Ironically, those Democrats looked utterly unpresidential, but they probably didn’t notice and don’t care.

The Munich Security Conference is where global leaders and security experts gather each year to discuss the toughest security challenges facing the world. Presidents, Prime Ministers, and their various Secretaries typically attend, but this year Democrat wannabes filled the peanut galleries. Based on their performances, they didn’t go to discuss security issues, mostly because they knew little or nothing about international security. They went solely to be seen and hopefully to be seen presidential; that plan back fired.

Hillary Clinton will deny it, but she still secretly fantasizes that the Democrat Party will call her back to run for president again. Clinton was the only Democrat that actually is competent to speak about security, but her acute TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) forced her to just insult and malign Trump. She raged that he “betrayed the west” and is seeking “unaccountable power” like Putin, but she couldn’t explain her baseless accusations since Trump got NATO nations to more than double their defense spending and he got Russia to the negotiating table. Czech Deputy Prime Minister Petr Macinka just laughed off Hillary’s unhinged ire with his quip that “I think you really don’t like him.” Clinton offered no debate just insults.

Others had no business being there or speaking about international security. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was probably the poster child for being way over her head. When asked whether the U.S. should defend Taiwan, she sputtered and stuttered for almost a minute before she stammered some Kamala Harris word salad that we have a long-standing policy but failed to explain what is that policy. She has no clue about any Taiwan policy like she has no clue where Venezuela is on the globe. However, she probably is not concerned with knowing.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was also asked about defending Taiwan, but she tried to punt it away. She quickly tried to defer to Ambassador Mathew Whittaker, who handed it right back saying he was very curious about what Whitmer thought. She did better than AOC saying something about “avoiding a clash with China,” but she offered nothing on how to avoid that impending confrontation. No matter: she was there just to be there.

Guess who Democrats sent to support “U.S. credibility abroad?” Delaware transgender Congressman Sarah McBride; that’s right – Democrats sent a dude in drag to tell the world to take America seriously. Democrats are unserious about real issues, but they don’t care because they are pandering to Hollywood and the woke left.

There were ample cringey displays by Democrats, but California Governor Gavin Newsom led the way. He hung around in the background like a kid at the prom without a date. He took every opportunity to slander and smear President Trump to the rest of the world which is simply bad form to run down your country overseas. Sadly, partisan politics no longer knows any borders.

Newsom really hit bottom handing out knee pads to insinuate other world leaders were bowing down to Trump. He tried to claim the world was just trying to kiss Trump’s authoritarian backside but offered no specifics. The international community is not amused by partisan sniping especially when they are working with Trump because they know he gets things done. Newsome was nothing more than a nuisance, but he was only there for the photo ops.

Wandering Democrats at the Munich Security Conference looked awkward, silly, and often plain dumb, but they don’t care because Democrats don’t need to know anything or have any policies. They only need to show up and convince folks they care.

Democrats don’t run on policies or solutions; they run on faux compassion and personality. They will promise to clothe, feed, and house Americans, but they have no clue how to do it. They will promise free education and healthcare with absolutely no idea how to pay for it. Like new communist New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, they think if they just say it, you will believe it. But Democrats really only need you to believe it long enough to vote for them.

Social media is overflowing with memes about stupid Democrats and people are joking about how dumb Democrats are, but the joke is on us. Democrats are not worried about that because they can still fool people into voting for them. We should not be focusing on Democrat shenanigans but rather try to reach any thinking American that would still consider voting for Democrats.

We need to ask confused voters, why would they vote for imbeciles? We need to frame the questions, shape the debate, and ensure truthful information is available. Americans must get informed, get engaged, and vote for capable, knowledgeable candidates, not just shallow social media creations. Our Constitutional Republic relies on an educated electorate. Vote wisely.

“A malicious person disguises himself with his lips but harbors deceit in his heart.” Proverbs 26:24
