Democrats and leftists excel at absurdity and hypocrisy, but the Democrat Media Complex’s ridiculous melt down over President Trump arresting and extracting narco-terrorist Nicholas Maduro from Venezuela in a flawless precision military operation has set a record for dishonesty, hypocrisy, and stupidity. Democrats can surprise us with their ignorant and shameless shenanigans whenever it comes to Trump, but they have taken their lunacy off the charts.

While millions of Venezuelans celebrated in Venezuela and around the world, paid leftist protestors hit the streets in blue cities to condemn Trump and demand Maduro be released immediately. The rent-a-mob idiots had no clue what had actually happened, who Maduro is, and that most Venezuelans support Maduro’s removal. It was somewhat comical when some protesters were shown video of euphoric Venezuelans dancing in the streets at the news; they were flummoxed and could only sputter something about American imperialism.

Over two decades ago, Hugo Chavez rode socialist deception into office (are you watching New York City?) and then usurped all power and became a dictator; his corruption and socialist policies destroyed the most prosperous nation in South America and made it an economic disaster and oppressive lawless hell on earth. When he died, Maduro succeeded him and broadened his role as a top narco-terrorist running drug cartels. Maduro imprisoned, murdered, and tortured his political opposition and has lost at least two elections but refuses to relinquish power. He is plainly a ruthless dictator, so why do Democrats support him now?

Other than Bernie Sanders, Democrats opposed Maduro until this past weekend. In 1989, Joe Biden declared the USA should take the war on drugs to “where the narco-terrorists live.” Just a year ago on 10 January 2025, Biden put a $25 million bounty out on Maduro before leaving office; Maduro was indicted in the USA back in 2020, so Biden wanted to bring him to justice but didn’t. Presumably, Democrats would have supported Maduro’s arrest had Biden done it.

There is plenty more hypocrisy. In 2020, Senator Chuck Shumer criticized Trump for not bringing Maduro to justice, but now Shumer condemns the arrest. Even CNN couldn’t ignore Democrats’ blatant hypocrisy when Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy said Trump should not have removed Maduro, CNN asked Murphy why his 2019 OPED made the case for removing Maduro, but now he says it’s illegal? He had no rational explanation other than orange man bad.

The rich irony is that less than three months ago, Democrats lost their minds with silly “No kings” protests insisting they would not tolerate absolute rule by an orange king, but now they are defending the Venezuelan dictator?! So, no kings in America, but hands off narco-terrorist kingpins?!

Once again, Democrats are standing with America’s enemies. China, Iran, Russia, and the communist and narco regimes in South America are all denouncing the arrest of Maduro. Removing Maduro certainly will disrupt drug cartel leadership and operations which is real progress in stemming the illegal drug crisis. More importantly, China, Russia, and Iran have been encroaching on the western hemisphere with their nefarious designs, but now Trump is eliminating their foothold in Venezuela. The positive geopolitical ramifications for democracy and freedom in the western hemisphere are extraordinary; Trump’s bold move here is sheer brilliance.

This latest Democrat temper tantrum over Trump makes their irrational obsessive opposition to everything Trump obvious and obnoxious to all Americans. Citizens see that Trump can do nothing to please Democrats, but it was not always this way. Forty years ago, when President Ronald Reagan bombed rogue Libyan leader Muamar Kadafi, Democrats had concerns, but they supported Reagan and did not side with Kadafi.

What changed? Partisanship now trumps our national interests, but it’s worse than that. The Democrat Party has been completely subverted by communists, leftists, and socialists, so their objectives are now inherently anti-American. They want to dismantle our Constitutional Republic and replace it with one party dominated tyranny, so they strive relentlessly to undermine and sabotage Trump, Republicans, and anything that benefits Americans at every turn.

Devoted to globalism and socialism, leftist Democrats want a weakened America, so we will eventually accept or succumb to globalism and socialism. Therefore, they abhor any exercise of American power and are even ashamed of it. That’s why they are losing their grits over Trump’s adroit deployment of American military might.

Certainly, many challenges remain in Venezuela and the situation is complicated, but Trump is putting Venezuela on the path to recovery and freedom. However, the immediate lesson for Americans is that Democrat hypocrisy is indisputable and Democrat idiocy is boundless. Americans are clearly seeing that Democrats are irrational, unreliable, and plain nuts, so they cannot under any circumstance gain power again anytime soon. Pray Republicans win 2026!
