'A new way forward'—or 'a fighter?'

The 2024 presidential election is only about 6 weeks away, and it’s hard to imagine anyone is still undecided or that the election is even close, but the Democrat Media Complex insists election margins are razor thin and the undecided voters will decide this momentous election. Granted, the majority of Americans are not consumed by partisan politics and only really start paying attention to elections in the closing weeks, so they indeed deserve answers. President Donald Trump is doing myriad interviews in every realm and numerous rallies across the country while Vice President Kamala Harris hides from the media and evades all but the most tightly scripted public events.

No matter what anyone thinks of Trump, he is an open book; everyone knows where he stands and he gladly repeats his plans to anyone who will listen, and he has a presidential record to run on. On the other hand, Harris is somewhat of a mystery only because she has flip-flopped on countless issues, runs from her record, and desperately distances herself from the Biden/Harris administration.

Considering Harris has presided over the past 3 1/2 years of American decline as second in command and perhaps really first with all her faculties intact while covering for her boss, her campaign motto of “a new way forward” is ironic and puzzling. Biden/Harris’ disastrous domestic policies have resulted in middle class-crushing inflation, and their hopelessly flawed foreign policies have resulted in crises in Afghanistan, the Middle East, and Ukraine, not to mention their reckless open border policies have endangered American jobs and safety.

After Kamala's 3 1/2 years in power, what makes anyone think she can or will fix things in a new term? Or as Trump asked, why has she not already done what she proposes now? So, it’s quite bizarre that she as an incumbent is running as the “change” candidate. Moreover, since Kamala is an incumbent, why does no one know her policies? How could she still be a mystery?

What we are witnessing is an extreme makeover by the Democrat Media Complex. Up until just a few months ago, press, pundits, and Democrat politicians were grousing about Harris’s inadequacies and openly speculating that she should be replaced, but after Biden’s overdue political demise, she miraculously and suddenly emerged as the left’s new wunderkind.

While the Democrat Media Complex swears Harris is a rising star and the preeminent nominee for president, average Americans are skeptical, so as usual Democrats turned to Hollywood celebrities to sell their candidate. After the indecisive September 10 debate, Democrats rolled out Taylor Swift’s endorsement, even though most of her fans aren’t old enough to vote, and then were surprised when a New York Times / Siena poll subsequently found Trump is more popular than Swift.

Former host of “Top Chef,” Padma Lakshmi, penned an OPED declaring Harris would make a great president because she is a good cook. No, really. She opined that the way Harris talks about food brings people together. She wants a president to “nurture and nourish” us.

Lakshmi’s odd musings highlight that Democrats want a parent not a president. They don’t view Americans as independent citizens, but rather as subjects hopelessly dependent on government. Several months ago, Drew Barrymore in a very cringey episode of her show moaned that Americans need a mom. Uncomfortably invading Harris’s personal space, Barrymore asked Harris if she would be America’s “Mamala.” It was more awkward and nauseating to watch than to repeat in writing.

Democrats’ problem is Harris is utterly disconnected from average Americans. While Trump got real with Americans on the top-rated late-night comedy show “Gutfeld,” Harris held an ostensible townhall with Oprah but dominated by celebrities. Julia Roberts accidentally admitted the rest of the world is concerned about the USA under Biden/Harris, but she inexplicably wants to continue with Harris. Try as she might, even Oprah could not make Harris sound cogent, likeable, or relatable.

With Hollywood striking out, Democrats launched “spies that lie 2.0.” Some 741 intelligence officials (including some of the 51 that deceptively declared Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation in 2020) and former military officers endorsed Harris. Is anyone surprised the warmongers advancing the worst international instability since WWII want more? And don't forget this bunch has been wrong more than right for two decades.

Further demonstrating that Harris is against the people rather than for the people, the IRS employee’s union which received huge budget increases from the misleadingly named Inflation Reduction Act recently endorsed Harris. Contrast that with the Teamsters declining to endorse the Democrat nominee for the first time in over 30 years because 60% of their members support Trump. The government agency that confiscates your hard-earned dollars relates to Harris, but hard-working teamsters that bring goods to Americans relate to Trump.

Unsteady and unsure, Harris avoids the press and refuses to address the public while Trump confidently pursues the press and constantly speaks directly to the American people, so how can this election still be close? Greg Gutfeld astutely observed that Democrat voters ask nothing of Harris other than she is NOT Trump, so the simple act of voting for her is the fulfillment of her campaign policy. However, the rest of the electorate wants results, so they demand policy answers and plans – Harris leaves them wanting.

Declining and in dire straits, America sorely needs new dynamic leadership, especially since the current president is generally MIA. Harris’s “new way forward” purports to offer change, but the only change would be the puppet in the Oval Office. Americans long for a strong leader, and Trump certainly offers strength, but moreover he is a fighter! This is amply demonstrated by Jon Kahn’s inspiring tribute song to Trump, “Fighter,” that immediately soared to number one.

Hollywood and the ruling elite are frantically trying to convince Americans to vote simply against Trump with Harris. Closer to the people, TIKTOK influencer @notmelissavitelli gave a comprehensive endorsement of Trump, but perhaps her most poignant line was “I will vote for the man who gave up his luxurious life to save his country.” Americans like authenticity and strength; they want a fighter!

“But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant” (Mark 10:43).
