Killing children, innocence, and truth

Americans were stunned by the appallingly callous slaughter of children and teachers at a Christian school, Covenant Academy in Nashville. All too common mass shootings are always tragic, but when children are murdered, it’s especially heart rending and jarring. While the families of the slain were still reeling with grief, the Democrat Media Complex shocked average Americans by flipping the script and mourning the shooter as a victim! They claimed she was probably persecuted as a “transgender” person, so her anger, frustration, and even gruesome homicidal raid on a school was somehow not her fault, perhaps even understandable?!

Any loss of life is an awful tragedy, but murdering innocent children is a particularly heinous act. Precious in His sight, our children are our most cherished legacies, and they are priceless additions to every family. So any untimely loss is devastating. Generally helpless, our children depend on us for protection, so when we fail to protect them, the anguish can be overwhelming. Incredibly, within a couple days the murdered children and teachers were barely mentioned, the media focus shifted to the plight of the confused shooter.

Leftists in entertainment, media, and politics quickly insisted the salient lesson here was the intolerance of average Americans towards the LGBTQ+ community. They castigated Judeo-Christian morals for rejecting the perversions promulgated by militant transgender activists as immoral. They claimed it was Christian bigotry that precipitated the hate and not the mad murderer who cut down children in cold blood.

Extremists in the LGBTQ+ community even insanely and not so subtly insinuated Christians somehow deserved such a deadly vicious comeuppance. The “Trans Radical Activist Network” (TRAN) even planned a “Trans Day of Vengeance” Rally in Washington, DC. Suggesting the shooter is a poster child for LGBTQ+ persecution, the evil Nashville murderer of children is considered a martyr. TRAN rejected any connection to the Nashville murder spree, but still stated “We choose to fight for change.” Absent is any condemnation of violence.

This is not to say the radical trans-gender movement advocates killing children, but they surely want to kill their innocence. By the late 19th Century, the need for sex education was being discussed. For the first half of the 20th Century, any sex education was approached as moral instruction, but in 1964, the former Medical Director at Planned Parenthood founded the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS). As sex education made its way into public schools, there was plenty of controversy about the appropriateness of state sex education, but initially public sex education was biologically focused simply explaining the reproductive organs and processes.

Instructing human reproductive biology seemed innocuous, but eventually it evolved into teaching sexuality. In the wake of the ravages of AIDS and HIV, President Clinton’s Surgeon General, Jocelyn Elders, suggested the teaching of masturbation to prevent young people from engaging in riskier sexual behavior. Just a few decades later public schools now teach all manner of sexual perversions as supposedly healthy alternatives – a slippery slope indeed.

At a certain age, it’s appropriate for children to learn biology, but until they are adults, it’s highly questionable to teach sexuality, particularly depraved acts beyond procreation. However, these extremists not only demand we teach perversion, but we also let children at any age question their gender. Their intent is to create confusion and disorder, so that children that still believe in Santa Claus constantly contemplate their genitals. This reckless immoral approach sexualizes children, and the inevitable result is that they experiment with this novel erotic information, so they are ripe for sexual predators.

The inescapable fact is our children are being groomed. Just a few decades ago, homosexuality was still taboo, and just a few years ago trans-genderism was unthinkable, so why should we not expect pedophilia to soon turn the dark corner into the open?!

In this pitched sexual culture war, the militant LGBTQ+ warriors must also kill the truth. The truth is sexual perversion is not just sin. It damages physical and mental health and destroys the human spirit. They teach children to wallow in the desires of the flesh and focus on self-indulgence rather than nurture their spirits and learn to live wholesomely with others.

The root of mental illness is obsession with yourself. It is the LGBTQ+ community and their progressive allies cynically victimizing the poor souls suffering gender dysphoria and pursuing perversion. They tell them that what is harmful is healthy. We do not teach alcoholics to drink more, drug addicts to try new drugs, or gambling addicts to gamble more, but somehow, they see encouraging unnatural sexual tendencies as sensible. Many of these disordered people are mentally ill. They need help, not approval of their destructive choices.

Ultimately, this penchant to mainstream sexual immorality is simply rebellion against God. While most of these LGBTQ+ extremists deny God or determine to redefine His commandments, they still know His intrinsic indisputable truth and it gnaws at their being. It is not enough to just separate themselves from Biblical teaching and let others choose to live by natural law and scripture. They crave endorsement and validation of their sins, so they must destroy Christianity and discredit God. The first casualty in this spiritual war is our children and ultimately our nation.

“Perversity is in his heart, he devises evil continually, he sows discord” (Proverbs 6:14).
