We have a New Year with new promise and a new Congress with a lot of new promises, but like most New Year’s resolutions will either come to any effect or simply be forgotten by the end of January. This is a common annual ritual, but this year is different and more important than most. Over the past few years Americans have realized our federal law enforcement and justice system have become incredibly corrupt. The corruption is disturbing but not entirely surprising; however, the absolute lack of accountability is shocking, the lack of oversight is aggravating, and the lack of remorse is insulting.
The corruption we have been witnessing is not bribery or theft; it’s worse. It’s political corruption! It’s partisan collusion to influence the control of the U.S. government! As crazy as it sounds, there is inescapable evidence that the DOJ, FBI, and perhaps others have inserted themselves into censorship albeit via proxy and fabricated criminal and espionage investigations with the obvious intent to influence elections and affect who is in power.
Folks, the DOJ and FBI have picked a side; they have revealed themselves to be Democrats and essentially declared the full weight of federal law enforcement is now specifically partisan. They consider themselves beyond the Constitution and certainly above the citizens they are ostensibly sworn to protect. This sounds sensational, but we are here because our politicians have either looked away or lacked the fortitude to stop their egregious abuses of power. So, we now have a rogue DOJ and FBI that tramples the Constitution, and thumbs its nose at the people (and Congress) because they can and have.
For those that wonder if such pronouncements are extreme, let’s review some of their extreme exploitations. In the 2016 election, the FBI sent operatives to entrap Trump campaign workers and used the salacious manufactured dirt paid for by the Clinton campaign to create bogus allegations allowing them to spy on a presidential candidate, which is unconscionable and unheard of. Even knowing all that evidence was erroneous, the FBI and DOJ colluded after the election to establish a Special Counsel on wholly false premises to hamstring and hound the new Trump Administration for years.
In the 2020 election, the FBI had indisputable evidence of unbelievable corruption and depravity on Hunter Biden’s laptop with troubling implications for Joe Biden. What was the federal response? First, they sat on the laptop for about a year pretending to have not seen anything. Then when the story started leaking, the CIA and FBI contacted Big Tech and social media companies to CENSOR anything about Hunter’s laptop saying it was “Russian disinformation!” This was active disinformation by federal bureaucracies to affect the outcome of a presidential election!!! And to date, they have basically investigated NONE of it.
The hyper-partisan select committee in Congress has been obsessed with inconsequential political grand standing over the January 6, 2021, protests at the Capitol, but they have not investigated why all the intelligence warnings that possible bad actors may try to disrupt the protests and even enter the Capitol were totally ignored and even covered up. The Congressional show trial has also blatantly disregarded what were FBI informants and operatives doing in the crowd that day! Why are they on video egging on an assault and not calling in help? The Congress and FBI have completely covered it up, hoping the public will eventually forget the questionable actions of the FBI and Congress that fateful day.
The point here is not to render a verdict in any of these cases but to merely point out there has been heavy smoke for years and no one has bothered to search for the fire. In this long train of abuses, there have essentially been no investigations and absolutely no one has been held to account. There has been no transparency but rather only obfuscation, so how can the American people have any trust in our federal law enforcement and justice department.
The new Republican Congress is vowing to investigate at least the Hunter Biden laptop corruption and any possible links to Joe Biden and while that’s refreshing, we’ve become weary of campaign promises that only produce hearings and yield no results or resolutions. Americans are right to be skeptical of a Republican Party that barely shows any bark much less any bite, but this time it’s vital for the survival of our Constitutional Republic that the nonpartisan rule of law is at least recognized and hopefully restored in Washington.
The establishment politicians of both parties and the media want to chalk this up to political bickering and just close the chapter. They admonish us that we should simply move on, so they can do the people’s business. Translation: they want to preserve the status quo because they just see their role as distributing the treasury and not governing, or they are complicit in the subversion of our Constitution, or they just don’t the understand the grave ramifications of a federal government that no longer answers to the people.
Washington is obsessed with pork and the people don’t help, because the pork is addicting and rewarding, but at some point, there must be some governing to protect our rights. The pork makes the loss of liberty more comfortable for a while, but eventually tyranny becomes real and oppressive. Americans must understand that our justice system has become a sham. If no one is ever held accountable, the law becomes a mere suggestion. More and more people will choose to ignore it because there is no consequence, so then the concept of justice becomes a farce because the people know it’s solely based on the whims of the party in power and not the timeless principles of our Constitution. This is a slow-moving crisis. Pray the Republicans find their spines.
“So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin” (James 4:17).
