Tinseltown is on a mission to sexualize young girls

There are some disturbing things going on right under parents' noses. Their daughters are being sexualized by Hollywood elites who would sell their soul to the devil (perhaps they have) to make a buck and/or to win a coveted Oscar, Emmy, or Golden Globe award. Life is so about them!

This will come as no surprise to anyone: The Parents TV Council (PTC) report entitled "Sexualized Teen Girls: Tinsel Town's New Target" provides proof that many in the media have their sights set on young girls for the purpose of sexualizing them.

Have these people completely lost their moral compass? Have they no shame? Yes and no. They are immoral, shameless, child exploiters who could care less who they hurt as long as the ratings remain high and they receive that big paycheck. And, quite honestly, in our wicked, depraved, immoral culture, sex sells.

These are the major findings in the PTC's report:

  • Underage female characters are shown participating in a higher percentage of sexual depictions compared to adults (47% and 29% respectively).

  • Only 5% of the underage female characters communicated any form of dislike for being sexualized (excluding scenes depicting healthy sexuality).

  • Out of all the sexualized female characters depicted in the underage and young adult category for the entire database, 86% were presented as only being of high school age.

  • Seventy-five percent of shows that included sexualized underage female characters were shows that did not have an "S" descriptor to warn parents about the sexual content.

  • Based upon a definition established by the American Psychological Association of "healthy" vs. "unhealthy" sexuality, the study findings show that 93% of the sexual incidents involving underage female characters occurred within a context that qualified as "unhealthy."

  • The data revealed that 98% of the sexual incidents involving underage female characters occurred outside of any form of a committed relationship.

  • The data show that 73% of the underage sexualized incidents were presented in a humorous manner or as a punch line to a joke.

Here's what struck me: 93% of the sexual incidents involving underage female characters occurred within a context that the APA would qualify as unhealthy. What is wrong with film makers? Oh I remember — they have no souls.

"The results from this report show Tinseltown's eagerness to not only objectify and fetishize young girls, but to sexualize them in such a way that real teens are led to believe their sole value comes from their sexuality. This report is less about the shocking numbers that detail the sickness of early sexualization in our entertainment culture, and more about the generation of young girls who are being told how society expects them to behave." [Bold mine.]

I'm reminded of Miley Cyrus' appalling behavior. Young Miley went from a teeny bopper role model to teen vixen overnight. Recently we saw Miss Cyrus on a YouTube.com video inhaling Silvia from a bong. Silvia is a legal mild hallucinogenic drug that can produce visions.

This is not about Miley, though. It's about all young girls. According to PTC:

"Storylines on the most popular shows among teens are sending the message to our daughters that being sexualized isn't just acceptable, it should be sought after. It is outrageous that TV executives have made it their business to profit off of programs that depict teen girls blissfully being sexualized by casual partners and only showing disapproval for being sexualized five percent of the time."

As a result of becoming sexualized at a young age a large number of teens are having casual sex. What many of them are unaware of is that sleeping around can be hazardous to one's health. Those who have sex with multiple partners are far more likely to contract a deadly disease such as HIV/AIDS, human papillomavirus (genital warts or HPV), genital herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis. Information on how to prevent diseases can be obtained on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website. Some preventative measures recommended by the CDC are: Abstain from sexual activity; use a condom; long-term monogamous relationships.

The only way to prevent disease is by abstaining from sexual relations. Using a condom for protection does not provide100% effectiveness against some STDs. This may explain why 25% of American teenage girls ages 14-19 have at least one STD. Many teens are unaware that there is no treatment or cure for HPV.

How ironic that the entertainment industry sexualizes young people and then turns around and advises them to practice safe sex! Is the liberal Hollywood elite so ignorant that they don't understand that the so-called safety measures aren't safe?

And we wonder why we have an STD epidemic in this country. Hello!

The truth is, Tinseltown does not give a hoot that sexualizing young girls impacts their emotional development. Will someone please give them the memo that:

"In February 2007, the American Psychological Association released a report on the sexualization of girls which found that girls' exposure to hyper-sexualized media content negatively impacts their cognitive and emotional development; was strongly associated with eating disorders, low self-esteem and depression; fewer girls pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics; and diminished sexual health."

"We have ample evidence to conclude that sexualization has negative effects in a variety of domains, including cognitive functioning, physical and mental health, and healthy sexual development," said Dr Eileen Zurbriggen, Chair of the APA Task Force.

"The consequences of the sexualization of girls in media today are very real and are likely to be a negative influence on girls' healthy development."

Does that not make your blood boil? Where are the women's rights groups on this terrible news? Specifically, where is the National Organization for Women (NOW)? They are the self-styled defenders of the female gender, are they not? We now know that exposing girls to sex at a young age is psychologically damaging. Feelings of shame, anxiety and depression result. Depression hurts! Eating disorders destroy lives! Yet NOW is MIA.

It seems clear that radical feminists only care about our daughters when it comes to ensuring their "right" to abort an unwanted pre-born baby.

You may be wondering if the hyper-sexualization of our culture affects males. The answer is...

"It's not just our daughters that are being affected by these images. Boys and adult men are also learning to value women only for their sex appeal, leading to increased incidents of sexual harassment, sexual violence, and increased demand for child pornography."

Just for the record, Christians will have to stand before a holy God and explain why they stood by and did nothing while our children were used and abused by people who do the work of Satan in tempting others to sin. Jesus warned:

"But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea" (Mat 18:6).

Clarke's commentary on the Bible explains what this means:

"It would be better for him to have died before he had committed the sin. To injure, or to cause to sin, the feeblest Christian, will be regarded by Christ as a most serious offence, and will be punished accordingly."

Bottom line: God punishes sin. Adults who exploit or injure children emotionally or physically will face His wrath.

For over four decades children have been saturated with Tinseltown's liberal propaganda while most parents and grandparents said nary a word. Today many of the movies and TV programs kids watch are infecting their minds with the far left's ideology of moral relativism and political correctness, and so-called conservative parents don't bat an eye. Why? The sort of stuff kids fill their minds with helps form their worldview!

Clearly our country is experiencing an assault against conservative values and principles. The cat is out of the bag....the Left is doing everything in their power to transform people's minds. They want to radically and unrecognizably transform America!

The transformation of America is a topic for another time, so I'll move on.

Those who wish to save our children from those who are filling their minds with toxic garbage must be willing to turn back the clock to a time when America still had a moral compass — when young women were valued for more than just their bodies. There's no other choice. It's do, or die.

One more point and then I'll move on. Sadly, many entertainment executives, advertisers, and high paid actors continue to push the envelope. It seems these degenerates won't be satisfied until our younger generation is wallowing in unbridled hedonism. And they'll continue pushing the envelope until conservative people of faith man-up and put a stop to it.

Now let me share with you what the PTC and other pro-family groups are doing to protect kids from predators. At this moment:

"The PTC is working to bring together a coalition of partners from the medical, scientific, and academic communities, from government and non-government organizations to bring pressure to bear on the producers, distributors, and advertisers responsible for promulgating teen sexualization. We've dedicated a new site: The Sexualization of Girls in Media to addressing this important issue and giving you the tools and information you need to take action."

Join them!

I'll close on this sad note reported by MovieGuide:

"Disney has decided not to do any more animated fairy tale movies for awhile, a 73-year tradition that made it the top children's and family studio in Hollywood.

Thus, TANGLED will be the last animated fairy tale movie for a long time.

'The biggest reason cited for this change is that girls no longer view princesses and getting married to be the ideal. 'By the time they're 5 or 6, they're not interested in being princesses,' said Dafna Lemish, chairman of the Radio and TV Dept. at Southern Illinois University and a self-proclaimed expert in the role of media in children's lives. 'They're interested in being hot, in being cool. Clearly, they see this is what society values.'"
