There will be a great cost to repealing Don't Ask, Don't Tell

This is the last thing I wanted to write about one week before Christmas. For several weeks I have taken a break from writing to put my focus on the holidays: Family and friends gathering together; cooking; baking; decorating; tree trimming; shopping; wrapping; helping those in need. To take my mind off America's woes I click on the Hallmark channel and watch Christmas movies.

Now the joy has been taken out of the holidays. So I'm putting everything aside to speak my piece.

Don't Ask, Don't Tell (DADT) has been repealed. Those of us who oppose a repeal believed it would remain status quo because all 42 Republicans had signed a letter saying they would vote on no legislation until the government was funded and tax cuts passed. Despite the government not being funded the following RINOS (Republican in name only) voted for cloture: Brown (Mass), Collins (Maine), Kirk (Illinois), Murkowski (Alaska), Snowe (Maine) and Voinovich (Ohio).

Will these traitors be in attendance at the first military pride event?

During the lame duck session Democrats on their way out vowed to pass:

... a repeal of the Pentagon's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy regarding gays in the military [passed]

...the DREAM Act that would give incentives for citizenship to children of illegal immigrants [failed]

...an extension of unemployment insurance [failed]

...the START Treaty, a nuclear arms reduction agreement with Russia [?]

A comment on an article I read sums up how many voters are feeling about the 2010 lame duck session:

"None of this lame duck liberal horror should be passed. None of it. It is an arrogant finger to all of us who voted on Nov. 2."

What's the next step for DADT? The bill will go to President Obama. Most likely he will sign it into law even though the majority of the American people oppose it. Townhall columnist Kevin McCullough lamented:

"Upon his signature President Obama will begin a process that will at the very least disrupt operations, and at the very worst see the eventual weakening of our armed forces."

I don't often share my life with readers but I feel the urge coming on...so here goes. My husband retired from the US Army after serving his country for 24 years. His service included 2 tours in Viet Nam. He risked life and limb to thwart communism and help the Vietnamese people have a chance at freedom. Or so he was told back then. As a former officer my husband understands the importance of unit welfare and cohesiveness. In his opinion, and in the opinion of many other former and current officers, there are going to be major consequences that will occur when 'gays' serve openly in the military.

Unfortunately many Americans have no idea how repealing DADT will affect our troops nor have they even given it a second thought. You see, radical 'gay' activists came up with a brilliant plan to change people's view on homosexuality by desensitizing them. The plan included passing off gay sex as normal and natural. By presenting homosexuals as no different from heterosexuals, except for the propensity for males to have sex with males and females with females, people eventually bought into the lie that being 'queer' is as normal as being straight.

What group is most responsible for pelting people with 'gay' is normal propaganda? Drum roll please....the entertainment industry! In fact, Tinseltown is responsible for much of the pornification of our culture.

As well, all sorts of politically correct propaganda (PCP) filter through our public schools and institutions of higher learning.

And PCP is spewed from biased left-wing media and a multitude of liberal news outlets. They've been 'outed' for deliberately withholding the truth.

That's not all. A large part of the blame goes to PCP politicians with a liberal/socialist agenda, and activist judges who thumb their noses at the US Constitution and legislate from the bench.

Christians are not off the hook — not by a long shot. The fact is, more and more self-professed Christians are shunning church doctrine and the creeds in favor of a touchy-feely, life enhancing, experiential, McJesus (have it your way), God does not judge unrepentant sinners to hell, Christianity. This neo-evangelicalism is a far cry from the Christianity for which the martyrs shed their blood.

Which brings me to 'Social Justice' Christianity (SJC). SJC is simply a euphemism for 'spreading the wealth.' Many self-professed Christians who hold to the socialist/Marxist view of spreading the wealth around have become adept at using pastors/elders/leaders/authors/speakers/entertainers as a spring board to spread their unbiblical social gospel. Not many Christians are aware that SJC leaders, such as Brian McLaren, Rob Bell, Tony Campolo, and President Obama's spiritual advisor, Rev. Jim Wallis, an admitted Marxist, are working to transform the world into a Marxist utopia. To achieve this lofty goal they must elicit help from biblically illiterate dumbed-down Christians. The worst part is that the social justice crowd has become adept at recruiting people, especially the younger generation, into SJC.

Even though the Bible teaches against homosexuality, some Christians have no problem with it. Far be it from a follower of Jesus to hurt someone's feelings or to come across as — gasp — homophopic. As I pointed out above, society, which includes Christians, has been brainwashed to believe that homosexuality is normal and natural despite the fact that the scriptures teach just the opposite. Not only is it deemed unnatural, the Apostle Paul calls it unseemly:

"And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet (Romans 1:27)."

Most mainline Bible scholars agree that the Bible clearly teaches that men having sex with men and women with women is outright sin. Therefore practicing same-sex sex is unacceptable to God...to Jesus...to the Holy Spirit...in other words, to the holy Trinity.

Why am I bringing up the Trinity? Because the Trinity is foundational to the Christian faith. The Son of God (Jesus of Nazareth) is the Second Person of the Trinity, thus He is God. Those who profess Christ MUST hold to a belief in the Trinity and must believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son. (Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses and those who cling to the unorthodox view of Modalism will disagree. To understand the biblical view of the Trinity, I invite you to scroll down to "Articles of Interest" and do some reading on this subject.)

God designed the human body for man/woman sex. Period. Without a doubt same-sex sex is risky behavior. Think I'm wrong? Go to the CDC's website and read about just how devastating it is to the human body over time. Those who choose to engage in same-sex sex do it at their own peril.

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness" (Romans 1:18).

Millions of Americans are outraged that DADT has been repealed. We are incensed that our armed forces have become a social experiment in political correctness. Mark my words: There's going to be 'hell to pay' in the 2012 elections for any member of Congress that blatantly disregards the will of the majority of the American people.

For those of you who are still not sure how you 'feel' about the repeal. Listen to what one blogger had to say:

"We are faced with a clear and present danger in Iraq, Afghanistan, North Korea and elsewhere around the globe. This is not the time for far-left liberal activists to pander to a gay constituency and use the United States Military as a petri-dish for an experiment in political correctness."

Most folks are unaware that the survey of military personnel did not survey a large number of the combat troops who fight in the field.

Most Americans are also unaware that Marine Commandant James F. Amos said that repeal of DADT would endanger lives:

"When your life hangs on the line," said Gen. Amos, "you don't want anything distracting...Mistakes and inattention or distractions cost Marines' lives."

The General cited a recent Defense Department survey in which many Marine combat veterans predicted that repealing DADT would harm unit cohesion and military effectiveness.

Based on his remarks it is safe to say that we won't be seeing Gen. Amos atop a float in a San Francisco 'gay' pride parade simulating oral sex. There is no doubt in my mind that in time you will see 'gay' officers atop floats at pride events. For those who haven't had the pleasure of attending a 'gay' pride perversion, click on the link to view the one held in Massachusetts in 2008. Viewer warning advised! http://www.massresistance.org/docs/gen/08b/pride_parade/part1/index.html

Folks are also unaware that US Army Spc. Bradley Manning, a radical 'gay' activist who marched in 'gay' pride parades, is the prime suspect in WikiLeaks. It is alleged that Manning, an intelligence analyst in Iraq, sold out his country by transmitting classified military and diplomatic information which was released by WikiLeaks' owner Julian Assange. Being openly 'gay,' Manning should have been denied the opportunity to serve. If the military had done a more thorough job when conducting background investigations, Bradley Manning would not be facing potential charges of treason.

Why did Bradley Manning sell out his country? He was depressed. The record shows that he was angry over the Army's failure to accommodate his "sexual orientation." Plus he had gone through a breakup with his lover and, after striking a fellow soldier in the face, the Army demoted him a rank. Since he felt he had no future he decided that sharing classified information about his government's foreign policy might "actually change something."

Speaking of changing something, according to the London Telegraph Manning was considering a "sex-change" operation. Now that 'gays' and lesbians are going to serve openly in the armed forces, will tax payers have to foot the bill for "sex-change" operations? This is not as insane as it sounds, my friends. In Texas an illegal immigrant who is transgender is receiving prescribed sex hormones behind bars at tax payer's expense. In Washington taxpayers paid for a sex-change operation, penile implants, breast augmentation and ear piercings. What will 'gays' expect the military to pay for? We will soon find out.

There. I've said my piece. Now I'm going to get back to celebrating the reason for the season: The birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord" (Luke 2:10, 11).
