California outlaws normalcy; Liberty Counsel sues to get it back

It can always get crazier, and it does on a daily basis in our world today. We have seen an alarming rise in the "success" of the radical homosexual movement in the past few years under the current administration. Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) has placed a record number of homosexuals in positions throughout his administration, and this has led to the brazen advancement of this debauched lifestyle in numerous areas in our society, including our military, with the shameful move to allow open homosexuals to serve.

We also have an all-time high number of homosexual characters portrayed on network television. This is not due to the American people clamoring to see more high-definition degeneracy on their flat screens. This is a concerted effort by the militant homosexual movement to give legitimacy to an illegitimate, sinful behavior by flooding American households with the sewage of it on display. No doubt, the purveyors of this trash hope to desensitize the American people to what would have been completely unacceptable programming just a few short years ago.

Now the radical leftist leadership in California has taken an unprecedented step down the cursed road to Sodom and Gomorrah by declaring it illegal to provide kids under 18 with counseling and therapy to help reduce, manage or eliminate unwanted same-sex attraction. This is truly astonishing. Only a society that has become deeply sickened in its soul would sink to such dark, ignorant depths.

California has already insanely mandated that public schools teach about the "contributions" of homosexuals to society — no, not contributions to the AIDS epidemic, suicide and depression rates, and the moral decay of our culture, but so-called "positive" contributions, whatever those are supposed to be.

One of the points of leftist "reason" at the bottom of this insane, new legislation is the desperate desire of members of the radical homosexual movement to convince the world that homosexuality (and its various alphabet soup manifestations) is an innate characteristic, that it is natural, that people are "born that way." This is not true; it has never been true, and it will never be true. Homosexual behavior is unnatural, unhealthy and immoral, and that will always be true no matter how many deceived and deluded people believe otherwise.

Another sorry side of this legislation is its use in Hell's war on Christianity. Oh, yes. By outlawing therapy that is in line with Biblical teachings, we have yet another direct assault on Christianity. Some might say that other religions also forbid homosexual behavior — Islam, for example. While this is true, there is no other belief system on the face of the earth that is under vicious assault like Christianity is. This has long been the case, and it is only going to get worse as we approach the last days.

True Christianity stands in opposition to the homosexual movement, and therefore, Christians must be silenced from declaring the truth about homosexuality.

This law is due to take effect January 1 of next year, if it is not stopped, and thankfully, Liberty Counsel has filed suit to stop it.

From last Thursday's press release:

Today, Liberty Counsel filed suit in federal court challenging the new law (SB 1172) that bans any counseling to diminish, eliminate, or manage same-sex sexual attractions. Liberty Counsel represents several parents and their children who are receiving and benefiting from such counseling, several licensed counselors, the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH), and the American Association for Christian Counselors (AACC), an organization with about 50,000 professional counseling members.

"This law places the state between the client and the counselor," said Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel. "This law intrudes on a client's fundamental right of self-determination to seek counseling that aligns with his/her religious and moral values. This law forces counselors to overrule the will of their clients who choose to prioritize their religious or moral values above unwanted same-sex sexual attraction," said Staver.

"This law forces clients to receive and counselors to provide only one viewpoint on the subject of same-sex attractions, even when the client does not want to act on those attractions. This law even forbids counselors from referring clients to someone of their choice. For the state to assume that it knows best what kind of counseling individuals should receive is the height of hubris and ignorance," said Staver.

"The counselor will be forced to disregard the client's religious beliefs or change them. This law and the ethical codes of all of the licensing boards are on an inevitable collision course..." Staver said.

The law defines "sexual orientation change efforts" as any practice that is designed to reduce or eliminate same-sex attraction. Such broad language will prohibit any counseling that does not affirm and encourage experimentation with or acceptance of same-sex attractions, regardless of whether those feelings and attractions are unwanted by the counselee.

"This law is an astounding violation of the right to free speech and religious liberty. Clients have the right to receive information that aligns with their values, and counselors have the right and the duty to provide information to help the clients in pursuit of their right to self-determination," Staver concluded.

In a sane world, this kind of thing could not happen, but our world is not sane. The state senator behind this evil legislation, Ted Lieu (Democrat, of course), argues that counseling to help young people deal with unwanted same-sex attraction amounts to "psychological child abuse." In the minds of these people, up is down, black is white, good is evil and truth is a lie.

Ted Lieu and his ilk do not want it known that many people gain freedom from the stronghold of homosexuality. If it is commonly known that people can and do get free from it, then laws like these would be more clearly seen for the reprehensible power-grabs they are.

These homofascists will stop at nothing to force the acceptance of homosexuality on our nation at every level and in every institution. They have already made terrible headway in our public schools with the "anti-bullying" campaigns, which are nothing more than thinly disguised homosexual propaganda infusions into our kids' minds and hearts.

True Christians and anyone else who is able to see the danger our freedoms are in at the hands of this diabolical movement must continue to firmly resist it and speak out against it. Our freedom of speech and expression, our freedom of religion and association are on the line, whether we like to believe it or not.

Thank God for groups like Liberty Counsel that fearlessly go head-on after these degenerate, freedom-robbers. Let us pray Liberty Counsel is victorious in this case, for the sake of our God-given freedoms and the young people of California.
