It's not Romney's 'hidden' tax returns; it's Obama's hidden past

When several friends sent me e-mails with links to Wayne Allyn Root's column, I knew it was viral, and then sure enough, on Tuesday, Rush featured excerpts of it on his radio show.

By now, you may have read Mr. Root's piece which was posted at The Blaze on Monday. The column, titled, "Obama's College Classmate: 'The Obama Scandal is at Columbia,'" echoes what I have been thinking long before this ridiculously desperate attempt by the Democrats to smear Mitt Romney with a stupidly false accusation about his taxes. How do I know the accusation is false? The pathetic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is citing an anonymous source as claiming that Romney has not paid taxes in ten years. If that were true, then the IRS, at the Democrats' (or even fellow Republican competitors') bidding, would have been all over him back when he ran for President the first time, if not before then!

Regardless, throughout this latest red herring tactic by the Obama Democrat machine, I have been thinking about how astonishingly brazen these communist tools are in attempting to shine a spotlight on Romney's past tax records — an absolute non-story — when Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) has a past that is almost completely hidden and sealed.

It just blows me away to hear people like Obama spokesmouth Jay Carney say,

The particular issue of a presidential candidate's willingness to be transparent about his... background is important and is a matter of tradition that dates back to 1968.

With a straight face, this punk, Carney, said that about Mitt Romney, as if "forgetting" that Obama has made his own background information as transparent as mud. These commie worms certainly get points for boldly telling the Big Lie, while it no doubt rots their soul.

Since before the 2008 presidential election, many of us have been trying to find out who Obama is. We have been asking for proof of his eligibility to hold the office of President. By Obama's own admission, his purported father was a foreign national, which would make Obama ineligible, because he is not a natural born citizen as required by the United States Constitution.

For that matter, we have no proof of who Obama's father really is, where Obama was really born, what Obama's real name is or even if he ever gained or regained US citizenship after having been raised in Indonesia for several years as a child.

Obama's history problem is more than fraudulent birth documents and a forged Selective Service registration, although those issues alone should be enough to land him in prison for illegally obtaining the office of President. His entire past is full of mysteries, and Wayne Allyn Root simply and clearly spells out a very plausible reason why Obama's college records are under iron seal, buried deep in a padlocked well of secrecy.

Mr. Root was in the same graduating class at Columbia as Obama was supposedly in. Mr. Root describes himself in his column,

I am President Obama's classmate at Columbia University, Class of '83. I am also one of the most accurate Las Vegas oddsmakers and prognosticators. Accurate enough that I was awarded my own star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars. And I smell something rotten in Denmark. Obama has a big skeleton in his closet. It's his college records. Call it "gut instinct" but my gut is almost always right. Obama has a secret hidden at Columbia- and it's a bad one that threatens to bring down his presidency.

There is no doubt that Obama has major deal-breaking secrets in his past, and it puzzles me that the communist Democrat Left apparently could not find anyone better to overthrow the federal government and finish shredding the Constitution than a man with so much to hide. Obama is really the best they could do for the '08 election?

Mr. Root writes,

Romney should call a press conference and issue a challenge in front of the nation. He should agree to release more of his tax returns, only if Obama unseals his college records. Simple and straight-forward. Mitt should ask "What could possibly be so embarrassing in your college records from 29 years ago that you are afraid to let America's voters see? If it's THAT bad, maybe it's something the voters ought to see." Suddenly the tables are turned. Now Obama is on the defensive.

My bet is that Obama will never unseal his records because they contain information that could destroy his chances for re-election. Once this challenge is made public, my prediction is you'll never hear about Mitt's tax returns ever again.

Why are the college records, of a 51-year-old President of the United States, so important to keep secret? I think I know the answer.

His answer is what many of us have suspected all along: that Obama went to college as a foreign exchange student.

Here is how Mr. Root wraps up his column,

Here's my gut belief: Obama got a leg up by being admitted to both Occidental and Columbia as a foreign exchange student. He was raised as a young boy in Indonesia. But did his mother ever change him back to a U.S. citizen? When he returned to live with his grandparents in Hawaii or as he neared college-age preparing to apply to schools, did he ever change his citizenship back? I'm betting not.

If you could unseal Obama's Columbia University records I believe you'd find that:

A) He rarely ever attended class.

B) His grades were not those typical of what we understand it takes to get into Harvard Law School.

C) He attended Columbia as a foreign exchange student.

D) He paid little for either undergraduate college or Harvard Law School because of foreign aid and scholarships given [to poor] foreign students like this kid Barry Soetoro from Indonesia.

If you think I'm "fishing" then prove me wrong. Open up your records Mr. President. What are you afraid of?

If it's okay for U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to go on a fishing expedition about Romney's taxes (even though he knows absolutely nothing about them nor will release his own), then I think I can do the same thing. But as Obama's Columbia Class of '83 classmate, at least I have more standing to make educated guesses.

It's time for Mitt to go on the attack and call Obama's bluff.

Oh, if only Mitt Romney would call Obama's bluff, instead of playing patty-cake defense! I will not hold my breath waiting for Romney to become the aggressive fighter we wish he would be. In order to go up against a criminal thug like Obama and his fascist smear machine, you have to have a steel spine. You cannot mealy-mouth your way to victory against such a vicious, lying, desperate opponent! Mr. Wayne Allyn Root is right; Romney needs to break out some hardcore offense against this communist in the White House!

This man Obama should be in prison, not the White House. His scorched Constitution policies, his illegal executive orders and appointments, his murderous gun-running schemes, his attacks on our nation's laws, borders, culture, military, the states, his interminable lies and most everything else he has done, leave no doubt in the minds of people who are paying attention, that Obama is a dangerous enemy of the United States. Mitt Romney should start illuminating Obama's lawless actions while in office, instead of pussy-footing around with second-string defense, unless Romney is just trying to lose!
