Do the math folks, opulence is not the answer, nor is FEMA

Micah: 6-8 tells us to “Act Justly.” Just what is that anyway? Surely not opulence, an offspring of misplaced pride. Sign of a doomed society. Sucking the well dry so to speak. So many variations through which opulence is unveiled. But before I get too far off track, let’s look at a few more specific thoughts that circle around that idea: Wealth in a nation and acting justly.

First, let me say I am a total Bill of Rights, Free Market kind of guy. I also increasingly find strength and truth in Biblical Scriptures and more and more recognize the role Christianity played in our nation’s founding. Even Ben Franklin knew that. Without it, this country will fail… would have never been. It is failing. We hear it every day, often well disguised by people who consider themselves to be “smarter than the average bear,” to quote Yogi. “Smart Alecs,” my mother would have called them. The ones that can’t tell us what a woman is because they are not a biologist. Those folks.

The ongoing absolute silence in the media about almost everything is shocking. If you are on the Left, do some counter-recognizance. Look at some alternate information. We have less than a month to go. The election rolls nearer. I think it’s obvious which side I pray wins. Conservative values, morals. Morals, defined in the 1828 edition of the Webster Dictionary as having “reference to the law of God as the standard by which their character is to be determined.” Now let's just stipulate that we all know who it was they meant when they used the word “God.” We all know.

But what do I mean by “doing the math?” How about “concluding and deducing analysis.” Recently we have been told Helene is the largest hurricane to ever make landfall. Yes it was huge. However, decent records have only been kept for a few decades. How well could they have measured the one that hit Galveston in 1900 or so many others in centuries past? They couldn’t. How about in years prior to that? Anyone measure them? I have heard folks using the term “500-year mark.” Tell me how is that measured? Speculation? I get the 100-year high water mark or 100-year record snow. But 500-year? There have always been big storms.

Another piece of the puzzle. Climate Czar, and United States special presidential envoy for climate, John Kerry recently said the First Amendment is ‘major block’ to censoring ‘disinformation.’ A sentiment echoed by Hillary Clinton, warning that social media companies must “moderate content” lest the Left “lose total control.” This from the same folks that brought us “facts” about “Russia, Russia, Russia,” Hunter’s laptop, the White House “Cocaine Story,” and heck even Chappaquiddick for that matter back in 1969. I’d still like to know what happened to the 32,000 emails or maybe even at Benghazi that night. Nothing to see here we are told.

Yes, an “information” machine if ever there was. So, no, I don’t believe FEMA over the likes of individuals like Elon Musk for example who have reported the lack of welcome and support from our government they have received. Not received, kept out actually -“security reasons” you know- in attempts to render relief from this event. “Not FEMA approved.” Like telling Trump to limit his venues for his “safety.” … “Yes, President Trump, we think it better you just not campaign… safer that way.” So many bad reports regarding FEMA, its funds, etc.

Did you see… 100,000 people at Butler, PA Trump Rally Saturday? Kamala, nobody “leaving early” as long as you are fact checking. How many midnight delivered boxes of paper ballots will they fake this year? This is critical. But the Democrats continue to take the cake. I surely wish Nancy Pelosi would open a stock investing company. She and her husband have to be the best investors in history. Just look at the intuition they applied in their recent Yahoo trade. Genius, pure genius. Opulence, false pride, come before the fall folks. Read all about it.

Granted, there are a lot of bad actors out there, let alone the several thousand convicted murderers, child traffickers, sex traffickers, rapists, convicted felons (Not Donald Trump!) etc extra we have just imported too. Anxious to rob, scam, kill, rape vote for the Left… and more. Get a little of that good ol’ “American Dream:” Opulence. Not a dream, a nightmare.

Yet another conversation for another day perhaps. But the “Dream” folks, that “American Dream,” is based on honesty, Christian morals, hard work, not “Freak Offs.” Not total self emersion, not “gender dysphoria,” DEI, or even Kamala’s “opportunity economy.” Ethics, not “programs.” We do not need more programs… well maybe a secure border. We need the Christian ethics our country is based on.

Maybe if we reintroduced teaching “morals” in our society…? Maybe reintroduce high school civics classes… using those old books I had. But like every other well intended “program” (like mandatory gun buy backs) the criminals still succeed and the honest folks are punished even more. You cannot legislate moral behavior. Write that down.

None-the-less, my thoughts on FEMA and disaster relief: I’ll toss a few quick thoughts out to get our thinking caps working. So, we have all heard at least two things. FEMA is broke and Dolly Parton came through with a one million dollar donation. But now, they are telling us FEMA is great. Dolly is great! Of course Dolly is worth around $650 million. And hey, I’m not complaining. Good for her. Great actually! I’m a free market guy as I said. But face it folks, that’s about like you and me donating $50. But again good for her! Set an example girl! Better than the $750 our “program” is providing, provided the correct paperwork is submitted correctly.

So let’s just keep those two thoughts in mind and while we do that, I’ll mention a show I heard yesterday on the radio in which the person being interviewed (I don’t know who… sorry) talked about the Chicago Fire of 1871. There was no FEMA. They rebuilt it themselves with hard work and private funds. No government is looking out for anyone’s “safety.” They did not let FEMA fence it off and prohibit private parties from coming in. Sure there may have been some dishonesty. But, I’m willing to bet, less than today in the “Post Truth” culture we now find ourselves in.

There was no FEMA and we may have been better off without it. Actually, in most ways I’d say we were better off for sure. Without this growing dependence on government programs that is. Of course, AOC said a while back there is no longer any pulling oneself “by the bootstraps.” Huh? Or Obama’s “Julia.” Seriously. Yesterday evening I managed to hear Kamala for a few minutes delivering a few of her points on how Donald Trump doesn’t have any “programs” like she has. Kamala I am sick and tired of programs. Let me fail or succeed on my own with hard work and faith in God. In fact, I’d even say that any major setbacks I have experienced in my life were a result of being adversely affected by some government program. We have missed the mark, totally.

Sean “P Diddy” Combs is worth over a billion. Puff Daddy too. How many billions are tied up in the opulence of sports figures, actors, musicians too? And yes, those in business or hedge funds. And they say vote for “Programs?” Be your own damn program. Step up. Be grateful for the wealth and good fortune you have been blessed by God with and put some toward all of the causes that you all claim need attention. Get a building or park named after you. A few of them. Rebuild a neighborhood. “Wake up,” not “woke.” There is a moral just way to be wealthy. Discover it.

I recall a “summit” President Obama held with wealthy folks. Mostly all hedge fund directors, not folks who build stuff. I wrote about it actually. Something about them all (including Warren Buffet) complaining about how poorly their staff were paid. The need for government controlled higher minimum wage, etc. Obamacare. Heck, couldn’t these Titans of Industry just give folks a raise, better health insurance? Why more government control?

I’m a veteran. I’d rather have access to actual doctors (like it as when I was a kid) than rely on the bureaucratic monster health care has become. Even in the private health sector… or what’s left of it. And I’d bet that those hurricane disaster victims could really use a few of those 1,000 bottles of baby oil Mr. Combs has. Just sayin. How we chose to spend our money is beyond me.

Several years ago, I recall, back in the administration of George “W” Bush), there was some murmuring among those in the media and in the Left wing of political thought about some Southern community constructing a facility for veterans on their own rather than wait around for some “program” to do it. I recall the media being outraged. The talking heads too. The President has let the government fail us, they said. Heck, I may have even written an article about it somewhere back then too. But I thought it was great. What a model for the nation. I would venture to say that the private sector built it for less too. Making our environment a better place ourselves, not through government programs.

I read online that “In total, the world's 50 highest-paid athletes hauled in an estimated $3.88 billion over the last 12 months alone. In one year! George Clooney hauled in around $239 ,million in 2018 alone. Where’s the “Clooney Cancer Institute” or inner-city school? But they all seem to support the Left.

So, Clooney, Bill Gates, and most of them actually, support Kamala and say they want to “pay their fair share” in taxes. That way we can create more “programs” for us to be stuck in while they buy up all of the farmland. Oh yeah, higher taxes means more IRS Agents to count it as well. I don’t think that’s the solution. What did Ronald Reagan say the nine worst words were? “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”

But no, we are told that we want more “programs.” Folks, the math does not add up. Take your life back. Take our lives back. Step up and put our money where our mouths are. Take control of our lives back. Drain the Swamp!
