Kamala’s wall: To keep U.S. citizens in?

After nearly a decade during which Kamala Harris had passionately admonished former President Trump with the notion of a Border Wall being a “vanity wall,” a “Medieval Wall,” a boondoggle of sorts, saying it “will not work!”… she has shifted positions—unnoticed by supporters, donors and the media. Now, she has suddenly come out in favor of it. What has happened? And no tax on tips? Now there is a novel idea. Too bad Donald Trump didn’t think of that first. Oh, yeah, he did.

Harris has now voiced support for a bipartisan border bill that includes a measure to construct more border wall at the U.S.-Mexico frontier—a 180-degree if you ask me. However, simultaneously, she wants to decriminalize illegal entry into the U.S. by millions upon millions of unvetted aliens (hey, it’s what the line says at the airport last I checked: “aliens”) at the border. “Non-citizens” is what we must now call them. Show some respect to those with the courage to break our laws!

With all of the perks our government is offering these “non-citizens,” why would anyone even want to become a “U.S. citizen?” Seriously. This, I’m afraid, is a serious question to answer. With perks for just being here like Oregon’s $30,000 for “non-citizens” to “buy” a house, free cellphones, healthcare, etc. A recent article on FoxNews.com states: “According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), it is providing $640.9 million in FY 2024 via its Shelter and Services Program to allow 'non-federal entities,' including city governments and NGOs, to off-set costs incurred by the migrant arrivals they are seeing." Your taxes, folks. How much can you afford? And, it seems, the Left wants non-citizens to win the vote on top of it all.

So, I need to ask: Can I surrender my citizenship and get in on this gravy-train? Well, there is a catch. It’ll cost you…appear in person before a U.S. consular or diplomatic officer, in a foreign country (normally at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate); sign an oath of renunciation; and pay a $2,350.00 fee. Kamala’s “Wall.” Keep us in? Maybe so.

So, who would a President Harris border wall control? Perhaps us, folks. Maybe, just maybe, the Left now realizes the wisdom gleaned from decades of observing and studying the successful application of border walls throughout history. Like in those old spy-movies: “Show me your papers.” Ha, lol! (Unless you want to vote that is.)

Sure, the Great Wall of China’s original intent was to keep invaders out. But, I think we would all agree that that original intent has been reversed. China seems hard pressed to let anyone in or out, for that matter! How about the “Berlin Wall?” There’s a role model if there ever was one, a concept repeated in the modern-day world by such freedom loving countries as North Korea and others too numerous to list in anything less than a 300-page hardbound atlas on the topic. Nope, borders cross in two directions: keeping people out or keeping people in. It all depends on intent. One of my favorite words in the English language: “intent.”

Intent: Defined by Merriam Webster Online as “usually clearly formulated or planned, “ or “purpose to commit a wrongful or criminal act.” Very interesting as “Hogan’s Heroes“ Sargent Schultz would say, “Very interesting.” Hey, Nazis were big on walls… to keep folks in or out? So, yeah, what is the intent here? Just curious.

A lot has been happening these days. There's so much that it’s hard to even think about much less write about. But I do have a thought. All those years spent “spreading democracy” to all of those countries that the illegals seem to be streaming in from. Peace Corps, USAID, all of that stuff, are programs and agencies I actually participated in for nearly a decade. Volunteers working side by side with our Southern brothers and sisters, under the guise of spreading “democracy.” All the while, our government was learning “management” from those dictators. I was thinking we were showing them, but, in reality, they were showing us.

I have to wonder. Who was teaching who? Who was the real “student," the actual “learner?” Was our nation, our government, actually the one taking notes? Did those former SDS students wind up running our government and staffing our universities? They called our veterans “baby-killers,” and learned politics from the true masters of government-control, like Chili’s Augusto José Ramón Pinochet Ugarte, “Pinochet” for short, Juan Perón in Argentina, or Germán Busch in Bolivia. Who can forget Argentina’s “Dirty Little War,” in which it is estimated that between 10,000 and 30,000 citizens were killed; many of them were “disappeared”—seized by the authorities and never heard from again? So many others I could list in that giant afore mentioned atlas. “Left” versus “Right.” But who is who, philosophically, these days?

We are now in the “Post-Truth” era wherein wrong is actually right, up is down, and 2+2 equals 5. NewSpeak is the rage, so keep that in mind when discussing modern-day logic, and, yes, political ideology. Scripture is very clear on this. Isaiah 5:20, for starters: “They say that what is right is wrong and what is wrong is right; that black is white and white is black; bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter.” What comes around, goes around.

George Orwell’s novel “1984” addresses the concept of never ending foreign wars, total equity, and frankly, a society in which people “own nothing and are happy.” To paraphrase Ida Auken at the World Economic Forum, we have arrived. The political party of the Klan (KKK) has such greats as George Wallace or Senator Byrd. Wikipedia has Byrd listed as an “American politician and musician.” Hey, how did they miss the fact that he was the Exalted Cyclops in the Ku Klux Klan? Is there a pattern here?

In Orwel’s novel 1984, the “eleventh edition” of the NewSpeak Dictionary was set to be released by 2050. However, as 1984 itself seems to be running about 40-years behind schedule, we may need to wait until around 2090 for that final dictionary. But it’s coming. Keeping these word-games in mind, we can fully appreciate how, during the Pinochet regime, Chilean prisoners were treated to electronic shocks, waterboarding, beatings, and sexual abuse in addition to just good ol’ "disappearing" of those who were deemed to be potentially subversive, because they adhered to what we always thought of as “left-wing” political doctrines. De-platforming anyone? That Hunter laptop story? Russia, Russia, Russia? Fake-news? “Fact-checkers?" Sounds a bit like another old book: “Animal Farm.”

But oh, how times have changed. Just look at the world around us and pay attention. The one thing the government can’t “pay” for you, I tell my students, (as in “provide for you”) is “attention.” Gotta “pay” it yourself. And there are more and more efforts to get us to take our eyes off of the ball, that’s for sure. Antifa and BLM, come to mind, as well as the “summer of love” and “mostly peaceful protests.” The “antifascist” among us who, by everything I have witnessed, exemplify the opposite of. Yes, right is now wrong and vice versa. It’s bigger than private or government control of enterprise or capitalism, for sure. This is spiritual. Buckle up, gird up those loins.

But, as this is the “post-truth” era, we must not fall victim to those who would rewrite our dictionaries in order to “understand” what we are witnessing, and be able to “articulate” what we see using a form of NewSpeak. “Disingenuous” is the word that comes to my mind. Disingenuous. Disingenuous is defined as not being sincere. Not speaking “complete truth.” That ol’, “Did God really say that?” thing from the Garden. Half truths… disingenuous.

Did John Adams really say, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other”? Or did he really mean "a disingenuous people?” Just curious. What is “religious?” Can we, as a nation, really reference God while we partake in the many sinful activities we do as a nation today? Do we really believe that God will bless “gender affirming” children or "women’s health care" when it is really secret code for child abuse, mutilation, and murder of the unborn future citizens? And President Biden called on God to help us do so? To bless this?

Chuck Schumer once claimed that the U.S. needs open borders, because Americans just are not reproducing. We aborted around 70-million in the past few years, and we are not “reproducing?” Explain this to me, Senator Schumer, please. I am neither a biologist or a mathematician. Many of these babies would have been in their mid-fifties by now with grown kids and perhaps grandkids. Do the math and get back to me, please.

So, there is no longer any escaping. No more “go West young man go West.” (No “gender” preference intended.) “West,” as we have found out, eventually puts you right back “East.” Funny how a round planet does that. Blame it on Columbus, the White Guy. There is no escaping it. North and South are cut and dry. Up is always “up,” and down "down"—old “up-down” thing at work. It’s either “up” or “down,” two choices. Sounds rather Apocalyptic if you ask me. New Testament end times sort of stuff?

I’ve never been much of an “end-times” guy. I always thought I’d know it when I see it. I think I see it. That proverbial “light at the end of the tunnel“ we were always told to be on the lookout for in Vietnam never came. This one is coming, I believe. There is no place to go but “up” or “down.” That’s it. So, what is the intent of Kamala’s Wall?

And, by the way, it’s a “representative republic.” Not a “democracy.”
