“Don’t say Gay.” I don’t think so. “Don’t say God.” Let’s look at some history

I have been trying to retire from writing. But every so often, things just get too ridiculous and I must again speak out.

Every day (24/7 in fact), we have been hearing over and over “Don’t say gay.” or we hear people chanting “gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay… gay…”. You get the picture. Well, there is history here that once again proves that we on the Right are probably just as dumb as posts. Too stupid to know what’s happening or, perhaps just to blind (polite) to see it? I will elaborate for a brief few sentences to set the stage. Then “drop the big one” as Randy Newman once sang.

My Historical stage set:

In 1962, prayer was removed from public schools. We all remember that. Even now, the right to take a knee and even pray silently on an athletic field is still being taken away more and more almost each day. Didn’t just this year, yet another high school coach get fired for this.

In 1980, the Ten-Commandments were taken down, removed from public view.

In 1984 Nativity scenes were under attack. There was, however, a pivotal case in little ol’ Pawtucket, RI, out of which was born the “Reindeer Rule.” A rule declaring that a Nativity Scene (a Manger) was allowable as long as there was a reindeer or other “non-religious” element in the display to water it down. Seeing a pattern here yet?

Now comes the infamous “Don’t Say Gay Bill.” As reported in almost all of the (fake) “news” outlets, Maryland (RINO) Governor Larry Hogan was recently attacking Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, (a Republican), over the Sunshine State's new law placing limits on discussion of sexual orientation and gender identity in the classroom (grades K- 3 which they never point out).

Hence “Don’t say gay.” Hogan also discredited the Parental Rights in Education bill as being ‘absurd.' But he saved the best for last when he stated (just like everyone else it seems) “I didn't really actually see the details of the legislation, but the whole thing seems like just a crazy fight.” Are you kidding me? Does nobody read anything any longer?

So, just like all of the other clowns in the public eye who seem to have no idea what they are screaming about, he is wrong. They are wrong. But it is a quick and easy catchy phrase that people of all ages can remember. And why not. Gov. Hogan, like everyone else, is just following the example set by those who run this country, (the Congress and Senate to be exact), who never read anything, much less the original documents: interpreting and understanding the words as intended / defined at the time the documents were originally penned. This habit might help!

My Conclusion:

This Bill (House Bill 1557… Who knew? I never see it referred to as that.) is being slammed for what it is not. Whereas the restrictive laws I sited above regarding religious freedom (1962, 1980, 1984) were all essentially “Don’t say God” bills.

Why can’t we see this? Why don’t we point this out? What are we afraid of? For the life of me, I am at a loss. Surely someone on the Right has a quick enough imagination to think up equally as catchy slogans as what I am discussing here. And, not only that “Don’t Say God” is accurate. Unlike what is going on today, nobody is saying “don’t say gay,” but we have been dictated in no uncertain terms “Don’t say God!” Really folks. It is not natural to pep-talk small kids with sexual information before they hit that God given point in their lives. Especially if they are not your children.

We have a Supreme Court nominee who can’t testify as to why or if “she” is a “woman.” We have 6’2” testicle ridden “woman” winning collegiate Women’s athletic competitions. And just recently we were all told by the Woke liberals, in no uncertain terms, “Believe Women.” If the Supreme Court can’t even tell us what that means, what are we to do?

There has been a lot in the news recently about sexual lawsuits against the Boy Scouts. If our country continues on the path we are on right now, it might become law that Scouts must begin doing exactly what they are being sued for doing in the past. No worries though, the twenty-million plus folks currently swarming our borders probably have the answer. Remember We missed our chance when we did not realize we have been commanded all along “Don’t Say God!” Pray that we still have time to turn this around.

So, get vocal folks. The clock is running out.
