Rush Limbaugh, Help me out, I really have no clue: Proverbs 22: 6 instructs us to “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Essentially, how are we to “train up” anyone in a world like this? If anyone has noticed, I am trying to get the attention of the big names in talk radio. While I have been invited to comment on some programs over the years and hosted my own years ago, calling in to the “big” shows just does not seem to work for me. I never get through. I am praying that someone in their orbits just might monitor this website and read this.

If you can’t guess: yes, this is about the current “events” in our country.

Rush, I believe I have listened to you from day one. I worked , on-air, for a talk radio station in the last century and I listened to you from the day we picked you up. According to what I have read, that would have been 1988 but it seems longer ago than that to me. Anyway, not to digress…

Recently (this past week) you were giving us a pep talk regarding any future elections. The fraud, etc. “Don’t let it get us down” or something to that effect. I understand. But, at least for me, the issue going forward is not necessarily election fraud. No, it is the whole apple-cart that is awry. And, if this is the case, why bother! The whole show, figuratively speaking, has been turned over to the likes of Harry Houdini, David Copperfield, Penn and Teller and… well you understand… It is all illusion. Why should I (we) waste my (our) time if it is all a card trick? A fun aside note: While I don’t exactly know about this guy, did they all attend the “Douglas Henning School of Politics.” Who is Henning, you ask? While I was looking things up, I found his name. Evidently, Henning, a Canadian, was a magician, illusionist, escape artist, and politician. Aren’t they all?

The conversation gets shifted. I teach in a Mass Communication Department. I tell my students the difference between inference and fact. Conjecture. We discuss (although I fear they just don’t get it or even care) how our eye can be taken off the ball by a skilled wordsmith. Isn’t that what we are hearing and seeing today? In my last article, I wrote that politicians on both sides all say they wish to “respect the will of the American People.” “Stand for the Constitution.” They don't. The number of people who just do not pay attention alarms me. When you try to talk to them, you know you are tuned out.

Tell me, what does "the will of the American People" mean? Are they speaking of the half of Americans who know the election was a fraud or the half who want to turn a blind eye and be “woke?” Same words, totally different meanings. Word games. Just word games. I thought this meeting of both Houses on January 6 was to discover if the American will has actually been met, not just ignore our will while saying they want to respect our will. They were not there to deny the “will of the American People,” to overturn the election. They were there to insure our will was actually respected. Not denied. Send the contested votes back to the individual state legislatures who requested this (as I recall) for analysis. Not overturn or decide the election. But the wordsmiths twist the language just like a metalsmith making wrought iron.

Not one in either the House or Senate actually addressed one specific point that I recall. I believe President Trump. I have been to MAGA Rallies. Tea Party Rallies. Nobody even so much as litters. This event in DC is not on the up and up. And even if it was some actual “Trump Supporters” breaking windows, and being “violent,” why are they “terrorists” while those, earlier in the summer, attacking and actually killing people, including police, were “patriots?” Anyone remember Dallas? Five police officers were assassinated. I believe the Capitol policeman who died in DC last week had a heart attack. All I find in my looking this up is that “he succumbed to his injuries.” What exactly does that mean? Says nothing. Government double-speak. Ever read an “After Action Report"? Same language describing pretty much every combat casualty. Emotional, vague reporting. The white female was shot, we know that. Is the inference here that there are no crazies who support the Biden Harris ticket?

But I wander from my main point. As I said, I believe the President. Did or did not more people vote in some places than were registered? Simple, to the point. Did they or did they not! Why do we not hear the answer? See evidence either way. Just show the two columns of numbers.

Were mail-in ballots falsified or not? Easy, simple, straightforward question. Why is this point not addressed? We are to take the word of those who are being accused of performing the cheating. Weren't constitutional issues violated? They don't ask, they flinch. Republicans use the same phrases as do the Dems. But there is no glossary of terms available for us. We can’t translate what they are actually saying.

The voting machines? I have to have my muffler examined on my car to drive it each year and they will not check these voting machines? I can't just drive up to the inspection station and tell them that my brakes are fine. I have to have a third party to check them. “Come on, Man!”

No Republican in DC last week wanted an actual answer or had the guts to even ask questions to get to the answers. And, after this “attack,” they cowered and decided to cut and run. They were relieved. Almost as a Federico Fellini movie. Maybe with a “Cast of Thousands” as in an epic Cecil B. DeMille film.

Anyone remember the Democrats saying “It's the seriousness of the charges!” 2004, I remember. Rush reported it: “The seriousness of the charge opens up the possibility that it might be true and therefore the seriousness of the charge is the story. Whether there’s any evidence or not.” What about the falsified, forged National Guard documents defaming President G. W. Bush, “43”? Dan Rather faked them. Used a computer to look like a mid 1970's typeface. This was in 2004. Where was my party then. EVER?

So, Rush, I ask you: “What makes you think it is the rigged election that concerns any of us?” It is bigger than any election. Politicians on both sides all seem to be the same. If I am wrong, please tell me. It sounded to me, yesterday, that even good ol’ Ted Cruz is running for the hills now. Is he going for coffee with Beto? Not at the Olive Garden, I bet.

I believe the election was stolen. I also believe it was a “one-off” event in many ways. It only needed to be done once. Probably can’t be recreated. It's the ol’ “Fool me once…fool me twice…” adage. Like President Biden would say, ”…You know, the thing.”

So, I have concluded: as long as this system works the way it does, nothing we the citizens who want the facts fight for will matter. We are…“lost.” Ah, reminds me of yet another popular culture reference: “Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.”

I heard somewhere, maybe on your program last week, that maybe President Trump might release “classified documents.” Having once had a “top secret” clearance myself (in the military decades ago) I understand there are definitely things that need to be classified. But, frankly, none of this stuff should be classified at all. The Russia hoax, the Hunter Biden issue? Hillary’s emails? Benghazi? For God’s sake! Anthony Weiner?

We deserve to know what we are supporting and paying for. If he, President Trump, does not release this stuff, who ever will? We, the People have a right to know what is going on. It is a requirement of good citizenship.

Are we essentially being told (an analogy here, folks) that if we were to receive a bill in a restaurant (one that is still open, that is), and it is incorrect, we still have to pay it? So, the waiter and the manager agree the bill is correct. We insist we did not order whatever it says we did or that the math is wrong – we still have to accept it as correct or take the punishment?

It is called a “lie.” Or, to use a very unpopular word: “sin.” We have a constitutional and biblical right to know this stuff. Proverbs 22: 6 instructs us to “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Doesn’t the way "he should go” mean finding and telling the truth? I think so.

So, no more rhetoric. Please Rush, email me, let me know what we should do. I’ll pass the word. Many of us are confused and frustrated beyond belief. As Sgt. Friday always said: “The facts, ma’am, just the facts.”

As always. I refer to: “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes” (Nehemiah 4:14).
