Is it any wonder why our gasoline prices are so high? Two years ago the Governor of California, Gavin Newsome, directed the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to “analyze pathways to phase out oil extraction across the state by no later than 2045.”
Many are not aware that California maintains some of the largest old reserves in our country. However, because the state is politically controlled by the radical left, oil extraction is low on public land in this state. If oil companies were allowed to increase extract oil in California, the price of gasoline would decrease.
This affects everyone. The price of gas is a financial hardship for many families especially those people who have to commute a distance to go to work. I have found this to be particularly true for people who live farther away from expensive communities in this state so they can rent cheaper residences.
Nevertheless, the media will not report this. The quote you saw above was from a California state sponsored publication from April of 2021. Did you ever see it being made public in the media? It saddens me when I drive around Southern California and see the price of gas around $5 a gallon. Yet, the media will not criticize our state government for this. They will also not criticize our governor for eliminating the sale of new gasoline powered automobiles by 2034? Just think of all the jobs this will impact.
All these facts should persuade voters to get rid of politicians who try to control our lives and eliminate our choices in life.
