Yudof missed the mark
By Tabitha Korol
President Mark Yudof of the University of California graciously responded at length to my letter/essay, " There's a fault in California," regarding their BDS conferences and my consequent commentary for their hosting hatemonger Louis Farrakhan, with copies to others who called him to task.
While he assures that he has addressed incidents of intolerance and the need for a climate of civility and open-mindedness, no evidence was presented. The president and his ten chancellors maintain that they have not left unanswered the acts of violence, hatred, and intimidation, but initiated no classes, rallies or conferences to thwart their recurrence. They accept that the increased diversity and highly publicized acts of racism... bigotry and anti-Semitism... run deeply through human history, thereby seemingly accepting the status quo.
While we are assured of swift and appropriate action for each new flare-up, there is no pre-emptive strike in place to focus on the democracy for which our country stands. The despicable incidentshave been condemned and students disciplined, but alas, President Yudof has found no silver bullet.. Such a statement automatically negates effort, shows resignation or acquiescence, neither of which must ever apply to anti-Semitism and hatred. The silver bullet is "put an end to this hate immediately."
Dr. Yudof appears unaware of Socrates, the Paul Ehrlich of education, who provided us with the the proper silver bullet, namely, our Core Democratic Values, our nation's fundamental beliefs and Constitutional principles that bind us as Americans, as expressed in the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution and other writings of our nation. And they do not include this liberal tolerance of Islamic intolerance and religious tyranny that provides the Islamists with the infectious buckshot to proceed without restraint.
The purpose of education, explained Martin Luther King Jr., "is not just a tool to enable people to trample over the masses. Education is an opportunity to learn, to develop skills, and to improve themselves and society. How can we expect our nation to improve if we do not provide our citiens with the skills needed to absorb the information?
To deliver a climate of civility and open-mindedness, the school must insist on classes that counteract the BDS slander that indoctrinates that Israel is an apartheid state. Israel is NOT an Apartheid state, yet BDS focuses on that attack, easily contradicted with facts:
The Muslim students are obstructing trade relations between the US and Israel to cause financial hardship. The economic warfare is directed against Israeli products, performers, and academics, all based on lies of what they call "illegal Israeli occupations of the territories." There is proof available for all to see that Israel is not occupying any land illegally.
By permitting the Islamists to engage in this warfare, the campus has become a battlefield. The cries of Apartheid against Israel are their weapons of slander and propaganda used on the University's battlefield. When students attend a speaker (Ambassador of Israel) and heckle, interrupt, and leave the auditorium, the teaching process has failed. The students' minds are not broadened, but their hate has been allowed to fester in the closed environment of their restrictiive, Islamic thought processes. This supports ideas of treason under a warped sense of morality.
* The link embedded in BDS is a filmed expose' about the true agenda of the BDS. It is in fact a determination to have the world's population agree that the Palestinians, unlike any other nation that ever began and lost a war, must return to their adopted homeland and, once there, the home of the Jews would be forever vanquished.

- Israel is the world's only Jewish homeland, yet it is accepting of citizens from every nation, religion, and race, from Ethiopia, China, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the US. New immigrants are welcomed and schooled to productive members of society. Women and men are treated equally. Muslims, 20% of the population, enjoy more freedoms than their counterparts in Islamic lands. Can the BDSers name one Muslim country where the masses live better and freely?
- There are no Muslim democracies. Islam mistreats, enslaves, and tortures its citizens. Women are subservient, forced to undergo genital mutilation, stoned if accused of rape or adultery, may not drive a car or walk the streets unescorted, homosexuals killed. Saudi Arabia is entirely free of Jews, Christians, and homosexuals. Mahmoud Abbas promises a Palestine without Jews or homosexuals; Islamists are killing Christians and destroying churches — ethnic cleansing. Israel is not guilty of ethnic cleansing.
- Israel, a mere 1/360th of Islamic land, is accused of usurpation, when the reverse is true. Israel occupies no land illegally and Muslims will not agree to recognizing a Jewish country in their midst. Palestinians are the squatters in Judea and Samaria, and destroy antiquities of other religions as part of their replacement theocracy.
- If the BDSers, affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood, will not listen to truths, where is the equal communication and openmindedness?
The Muslim students are obstructing trade relations between the US and Israel to cause financial hardship. The economic warfare is directed against Israeli products, performers, and academics, all based on lies of what they call "illegal Israeli occupations of the territories." There is proof available for all to see that Israel is not occupying any land illegally.
- Palestinians use a perpetual narrative of victimhood to reach the ignorant public. The Palestinians are Jordanians, Syrians, Lebanese, Yemenites who took the name to create a bond to the land, and who fled Israel upon instructions from their armies that attacked upon Israel's re-creation.
- Wars create refugees. The Palestine Mandate and Arab armies created over 10,000 Jewish refugees, and more between 1948-2000; the War of Independence caused persecution and expulsion of over 850,000 Jewish refugees from Arab lands. These Jews became citizens of Israel, France, and America, with no victimhood, funding from the UN, cries for vengeance, or Jewish Jihad.
- Arab aggression of six armies against the new Israel created the refugee problem for their brethren. The Arabs who stayed in Israel became citizens; those who fled were left pawns in a never-ending intent to Islamize the entire Mideast.
- Israel has been the Jewish homeland since antiquity. The war is about land acquisition and annihilation of other cultures. Islamists are killing Christians as well as Jews, destroying churches and synagogues; this is a replacement theocracy. If we do not protect Israel, America will also become a hotbed for violence.
