On Feb. 2, 2021, the Virginia House of Representatives passed a bill to remove conscience protections,
“…for child-placing agencies, prompting worry that the state’s Catholic adoption and foster care agencies could be forced to shut down because of their views on marriage.” (Virginia House Advances Bill Repealing Protections For Faith Based Adoption Agencies, Catholic News Agency, 2, 2, 21)
The faithful orthodox Catholic, orthodox Protestant, and Orthodox Catholic view on marriage and life are in accord with the Lord our God, Creator of all life, conscious life, the whole of creation, and His Commandments. Likewise, the consciences (spiritual aspects of imago Dei) of all orthodox Christians are shaped and informed by the Revealed Word of God and a love of Christ Jesus.
For all faithful orthodox Christians, the only true God is the personal Triune Creator of heaven, earth, and all life. He is the Truth, Way, and Life. He is the God of Revelation. His Living Word is His creative and life-giving power by which He created the world (Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 42:5) and actively sustains the world (Colossians 1:17) He exists as three Persons—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3: 17). All life comes from Him and is completely dependent on Him (1 Tim. 6-13; Acts 17:25; John 1:4; John 5:26). God is infinite (1 Timothy 1:17), incomparable (2 Samuel 7:22), and eternally unchanging (Malachi 3:6). God exists everywhere (Psalm 139:7-12), knows everything (Psalm 147:5; Isaiah 40:28), and has all power and authority (Ephesians 1; Revelation 19:6).
The Genesis account of creation ex nihilo reveals that man is a person because created in the spiritual image of the One God in three Persons. The first man, Adam, was created directly by the Creator God of Gen. 1 identified by the Apostle John as the Son of God (John 1:1). Thus, primordial man was created with a superhuman intelligence and original nature from which Adam, hence all of us, fell away and to which we are called back. [1].
Vishal Mangalwadi, India’s foremost Christian scholar, observes that the unique concept of man as God’s spiritual image-bearer gave birth to the “belief in the unique dignity of human beings,” and this is,
“…the force that created Western civilization, where citizens do not exist for the state but the state exists for the individuals. Even kings, presidents, prime ministers, and army generals cannot be allowed to trample upon an individual and his or her rights.” (Truth and Transformation: A Manifesto for Ailing Nations, pp. 12-13)
All faithful orthodox Christians are therefore, living souls created with minds, consciences, and wills embedded within flesh and endowed with unique dignity. They are image bearers of the Lord our God.
For fifteen hundred years, Christendom and then later Protestant America, had followed St. Augustine (AD 354-430) in affirming that as all men are the spiritual image-bearers of the transcendent Tripersonal God then it logically follows that each human person is a trinity of being — of soul, spirit, and body:
“It is the soul alone that God made in his own image and the soul that he loves…For the sake of the soul…the Son of God came into the world...” (Incomplete Work on Matthew, Homily 25, Ancient Christian Devotional, Oden and Crosby, p. 153).
But what about those who look down upon the spiritual image bearers of God, contemptuously seeing them as dehumanized products of evolution, and demand revocation of conscience protections?
While some might just be cowardly conformists and opportunists with no particular beliefs, others are most likely Progressive Christians and New Age Luciferians. Their ‘god’ though, is not the Transcendent Triune God but the Progressive god that is the Void (New Age Lucifer) of pantheist energy. Progressives and New Agers are mystical pantheists.
The Progressive and New Age view deifies already existing creation, hence has no personal Ultimate Source for life, conscious life, mankind’s soul (mind, conscience, will), truth, morality and meaning. [2]
For the atheists among their number, there is only the materialist Void of absolute nothingness from which emanates energy working on matter to produce life. Like the first view, nothingness produces nothing since it has no Ultimate Personal Source for life, conscious life, soul (mind, conscience, will), truth and morality. [3]
What both groups have in common is this: they have stepped out into the Void, and in so doing, have destroyed themselves. They are no longer persons but non-self, or soulless, walking dead nihilists from the void:
“...you took God away (and) your espousal of an absence of self is the most unique and fearsome claim you made.” (The Lotus and the Cross: Jesus Talks with Buddha, Ravi Zacharias, pp. 59, 67)
“Sorry, but your soul just died.” (The Spiritual Brain: A Neuroscientist’s Case for the Existence of the Soul, Beauregard and O’Leary, p. 4)
Throughout the West and the United States of America, the unreality of “self,” means new pagan materialist and mystical pantheist Western men and women are soulless walking dead. They dwell in the demonically inverted alternative universe of Satan where non-self exists in a waking nightmare fueled by horrors of the conscience – they have no source for, hellish terrors of mind—they have no source for, and a terrifying obsession with death that makes removal of conscience protections, lying, suicide, murder, abortion, euthanasia, genocide, and all other evils into virtues.
The Spirit of Antichrist
In this light, the removal of conscience protections is a blasphemous, evil attempt by the spirit of Antichrist at revoking both the Revealed Word and its Speaker – the Lord our God, Christ Jesus the Word (John 1).
In a long line of evils, this latest evil follows a demonic plan of long duration to absolutely eradicate the very thought of Christ Jesus. Through the teaching of evolution as an origin account and various means of psychological manipulation and terror, Powers, Principalities and demons working through their walking dead tools seek to cause the children of the Lord to forget their living souls.
Satanic Nothingness
Soulless walking dead are all who accept the Lie and reject the saving Gospel of Christ Jesus in its entirety, from creation ex nihilo to His return. They embrace Satan’s modernist world system consisting of an evolutionary anti-creation account of origins: void (aka nothingness, chaos, energy field), matter, and evolutionary energy. With rejection of their Divine Creator in favor of satanic nothingness, they’ve lost their humanity and goodness by giving themselves to evil:
'Whatever is must also be (ontologically) good. And it follows from this that whatever loses its goodness ceases to be. Thus, wicked men cease to be what they were...To give oneself to evil...is to lose one's human nature. Just as virtue can raise a person above human nature, so vice lowers those whom it has seduced from the condition of men beneath human nature...In this way, anyone who abandons virtue creases to be a man, since he cannot share in the divine nature, and instead becomes a beast." Boethius's Consolation of Philosophy
“It is said that after God died in the nineteenth century, man died in the twentieth. For when God is dead, man becomes an untamed beast.” Erwin Lutzer (2)
They have given their living souls to Satan and are no longer human beings but beasts. By this we can see that for a very long time now, spiritual warfare has been raging all around us.
We live in evil apocalyptic times and Satan seeks to devour as many living souls as he can before the return of Christ Jesus. Thus, all faithful Christians must,
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11
“…and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32, ESV
