Evolutionary Christians do not believe Moses, so how will they believe Jesus' words?

"For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?" John 5:46-47

"And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. " Luke 24:27

John 1 tells us that in the beginning everything was created ex nihilo by the spoken Word of the Son of God. This means that Jesus Christ was active and present long before His incarnation, therefore eternally co-existent with the Father. (John 1:2; Proverbs 8:23) Jesus Christ is God just as the Father and Holy Spirit are God, hence the Word of the Old Testament's creation account is Jesus Christ of the New Testament. Jesus Christ is the living Word. His Word is Truth even as He Himself is the Truth, Way, and Life, the same today as yesterday and forever and ever. Jesus Christ does not change and as He is the starting point for the reasoning of the faithful, then obedient Christians must reject the long unchallenged assumptions of revolutionary humanism's longstanding war against the Word of God – the Book of Genesis in particular – in all its parts... historical, prophetical, geographical, linguistic, and doctrinal.

When Paul affirms in the Lord that his Gentile readers should no longer live as Gentile pagans do in the futility of their darkened minds (Ephesians 4: 17-24), he speaks to all pagan and pantheist humanists from antiquity to our own age (i.e., New Age, Progressive Leftism, Progressive Christianism, and Technocratic Trans-Humanism) who reject the pure knowledge of the Holy Trinity and vainly think of themselves as enlightened and pure when in reality they are darkened and impure. Their ignorance is not a lack of education, and some of them are brilliant in their own way, but such brilliance is wasted on vain imaginings and wisdom of this world which will not get them to heaven, thus utterly foolish and futile, especially when combined with hardness of heart toward the truth of the gospel in Christ (Matt. 13:14-15; John 12:40; Acts 28: 26; Rom. 11:8)

Evolutionary Theism Implies That Christ is Wrong About Creation

When modern pagan materialists speak frankly, they not only confess their fear and hatred of the Triune God but admit that their so-called 'scientific theories'...the products of their darkened imaginations...are foolishness:

"...one belief that all true original Darwinians held in common, and that was their rejection of creationism, their rejection of special creation. This was the flag around which they assembled and under which they marched.... The conviction that the diversity of the natural world was the result of natural processes and not the work of God was the idea that brought all the so-called Darwinians together in spite of their disagreements on other of Darwin's theories. (One Long Argument,1991, p. 99, Ernst Mayr, 1904–2005, Professor of Zoology at Harvard University)

"We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs, in spite of its failure to fulfill many of its extravagant promises of health and life, in spite of the tolerance of the scientific community for unsubstantiated just-so stories, because we have a prior commitment, a commitment to materialism. It is not that the methods and institutions of science somehow compel us to accept a material explanation of the phenomenal world, but, on the contrary, that we are forced by our a priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of investigation and a set of concepts that produce material explanations, no matter how counter-intuitive, no matter how mystifying to the uninitiated. Moreover, that materialism is an absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door." ("Billions and Billions of Demons," Richard Lewontin (b. 1929), PhD Zoology, Alexander Agassiz Research Professor at Harvard University)

Throughout the contemporary West and America many 'scientifically enlightened' Western and American theologians, seminarians and intellectuals take the side of revolutionary humanism in their rejection of belief in Moses in favor of scientism and esoteric biological evolution – pagan materialistic scientism parading as Western science. By the logic of their position they implicitly or explicitly hold that Christ Himself was wrong about Genesis. Pope Francis, Timothy Keller, Leonard Sweet, and many others fall into this category. Having leaped into the scientism and evolution quagmire, they deride, ridicule, demonize, and harshly criticize obedient Christians who refuse to stumble after them. (2 Peter 2)

Evolutionary scenarios commonly proposed by evolutionary theists typically reduce Adam and Eve to mythical figures such as hominids with the consequence that Eve was never promised a 'Seed' and death didn't come from a Fall but rather from the death of the millions of evolved creatures that preceded humans by billions of years. So evolution not only makes the Son of God responsible for death but in amputating the entire historical precedent from the Gospel it changes the rest of Scripture and makes Jesus Christ unnecessary as atheist Frank Zindler points out:

"The most devastating thing though that biology did to Christianity was the discovery of biological evolution. Now that we know Adam and Eve never were real people the central myth of Christianity is destroyed. If there never was an Adam and Eve, there never was an original sin. If there never was an original sin there is no need of salvation. If there is no need of salvation there is no need of a savior. And I submit that puts Jesus, historical or otherwise, into the ranks of the unemployed. I think that evolution absolutely is the death knell of Christianity." (Frank Zindler, American atheist, in a debate with William Craig, Atheism vs Christianity video, 1996, from "Homeschooling parents demand evolutionary textbooks," Lita Cosner, 13 June 2013

Over and across the entire denominational spectrum, it is the obedient – those who love the Lord – and who stand against evolution who are ridiculed, and condemned by the disobedient for their so-called 'anti-science religionism, narrow-mindedness, fundamentalism, cultural isolationism, and anti-intellectualism' which the disobedient call, "the rejection of science," and then refer to this as, "textbook evidence of an unyielding ignorance on the part of the religious." (Total Capitulation: The Evangelical Surrender of Truth, Dr. Mohler, October 25, 2011)

Dr. Albert Mohler, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary has endured much ridicule for his unflinching stand against evolutionary compromisers:

" At the very least, the acceptance of evolutionary theory requires that the first two chapters of Genesis be read merely as a literary rendering that offers no historical data. But, of course, the injury does not end there. If evolution is true, then the entire narrative of the Bible has to be revised and reinterpreted. The evolutionary account is not only incompatible with any historical affirmation of Genesis, but it is also incompatible with the claim that all humanity is descended from Adam and the claim that in Adam all humanity fell into sin and guilt. The Bible's account of the Fall and its consequences is utterly incompatible with evolutionary theory. The third chapter of Genesis is as problematic for evolutionary theory as the first two." (Creation vs. Evolution – The New Shape of the Debate, Dr. Mohler, February 1, 2011)

Paul warned of the days when Christians would not tolerate the eternally unchanging Authority of God's Word and sound doctrine, but would instead surround themselves with worldly teachers and false prophets who would tickle their ears. (2 Tim 4:1-3)

Those days are here.

The Great Cosmological Shift

According to Benjamin Wiker and Scott Hahn, authors of the meticulously researched book, "Politicizing the Bible," a great cosmological shift away from the supernatural Genesis account ex nihilo toward an anti-supernatural and wholly pagan or secular understanding of the universe, God, man, philosophy, science, and morality occurred in the seventeenth century. The research efforts of the two men take them deep into the Middle Ages and Renaissance to show that the appropriation, deconstruction and paganization of scripture and invention of the historical-critical method taken for granted at modern divinity schools worldwide, originated with politically motivated interpreters. Among them were early Popes, Machiavelli, Marsilio of Padua, Henry VIII, Thomas Hobbes, Descartes and Spinoza, who sought an empire of science.

Moving to the Renaissance and the book, "God and the Knowledge of Reality," the Catholic philosopher and historian Thomas Molnar (1921–2010), reveals the 'temper of that age' as a spirit of rebellion against the Holy Triune God and His created order. This is why certain highly placed, influential Renaissance Christian theologians, mystics and scholars, having discovered ancient Egyptian Hermetic magic and occult Jewish Kabbalah texts from the time of Babylon, studied and translated these ancient texts, resulting in Hermetic Kabbalah. Then like Pico della Mirandola, they argued that occult hermetic science – the divine technology or Magic Way of reaching divine status and spiritual powers through ritual procedures such as transcendental meditation iand spiritual evolution s the best proof of the divinity of Christ as a force of nature. In other words said Molnar,

"....by the time of the Renaissance the esoteric texts of the first centuries A.D. had acquired in scholarly and humanist circles an unparalleled prestige, confronting as equals the texts held sacred by the church. In Pico's estimation, 'nulla est scientia que nos magis certificet de divinitate Christ quam magia et Cabala' (there is no science that would prove for us Christ's divinity better than magic and the Cabala.)" (pp. 78-79)

The defiant embrace of magic science and evolutionary conceptions that originated in Babylon and undergird occult traditions such as mystical Hinduism, Buddhism, Egyptian Hermeticism and occult Kabbalah paved the way for the rationalism of the European Enlightenment.

Rationalism glorified the will-to-power and darkened intellect of rebellious men rather than the Word of God. These seeds of corruption blossomed into a huge upsurge of anti-Christian endeavor resulting in the subordination of the Word of God to the findings of magic science and evolutionary thinking which opened the door for yet more corruption in the 19th century – theological liberalism (evolutionary pantheism) and 'higher criticism.'

Theological liberalism first developed in Germany. Its first real manifestation was at the University of Tubingen where Ferdinand Baur (1792-1860) had formed a school of theology for the purpose of raising doubts about the Bible. This tactic was designed to undermine the Revealed Word as the exclusive fount of truth. Among areas that came under suspicion were the Genesis account, the person and deity of Christ, the fall and human sin, the authority of Scripture, the transcendence of God, the Way of spiritual salvation, and the doctrine of the Christian Church. (From Old Gnosticism to New Age, Alan Morrison, SCP Journal, Vol. 28:4-29:1, 2005, pp. 32-33)

The theological liberalism inaugurated at Tubingen 'Christianized' the great cosmological shift and the magic science and evolutionary pagan and pantheist creeds sweeping over our nation in many guises today: Teilhard's New Religion, Leonard Sweets quantum spirituality, the Quantum Void posited by modern physicists and occult New Age for example.

Theological liberalism owes much to the occult Hermetic pantheist philosophy of George Hegel (1770-1811). Hegel was a philosophical heir of ancient occult traditions and an important member of an occult brotherhood that emerged out of the Renaissance. His early writings were greatly influenced by Christoph Oetinger (1702-1782), the gnostic occult Kabbalist and disciple of Renaissance Hermetic-Kabbalists such as Emanuel Swedenborg and Jakob Boehme (1575-1624). Hegels dialectic, or pantheist theory of historical evolution, dovetailed neatly with liberal theology's evolutionary pantheism and its' outrageous claim that Christianity was a hybrid religion of the Near East. (ibid)

Somewhat later, Karl Marx secularized Hegel's dialectic for his own evolutionary conception – dialectical materialism – a revitalized form of animism in which divine matter thinks and chooses.

This period also saw a more forceful appearance of 'higher criticism,' the evil-twin of theological liberalism. Higher criticism cast suspicion upon the authorship and dating of the books of the Bible in an attempt to undermine the truth-claims of Scripture. Such unsanctified exploration led to an enquiry into the identity of the historical Jesus, typified in the anti-supernaturalistic book, "The Life of Jesus," written in 1835 by Baur's pupil, D.F. Strauss (1808-1874). (ibid)

When Darwin published his theory, theological liberals (progressives) eagerly embraced it, not because they actually believed it, but because behind its' 'science' façade they could openly embrace the occult evolutionary conceptions posited by Egyptian Hermeticism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Kabbalah.

With these developments, the seal was set on a critical, rationalistic, and skeptical approach to the Word of God that elevates magic science, evolution, and other idols of men above the Word of God.

This tragic development results in large flocks of deceived sheep who cannot believe Moses (John 5:45-47) because the ministers who guide them are falling stars who in their arrogance reject as unscientific the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo.

Ministers of the Devil

While most commentators identify Lucifer as the falling star, in his Concise Commentary Matthew Henry provides a second, human identity. Human falling stars are tepid, indecisive, weak or apostate clergy who having ceased to be a minister of Christ,

"... he who is represented by this star becomes the minister of the devil; and lets loose the powers of hell against the churches of Christ. On the opening of the bottomless pit, there arose a great smoke. The devil carries on his designs by blinding the eyes of men...putting out light and knowledge, and promoting ignorance and error. Out of this smoke there came a swarm of locusts, emblems of the devil's agents, who promote superstition, idolatry, error, and cruelty...the true believers...should be untouched (but) a secret poison and infection in the soul, should rob many others of purity, and....peace. The locusts had no power to hurt those who had the seal of God. God's all-powerful, distinguishing grace will keep his people from total and final apostacy." (Commentary on Revelation 9: 1-12)

Since neither falling stars nor their misled flocks can believe Moses, they cannot believe the Word, God-Incarnate, our savior Jesus Christ.

In response to the spread of unbelief and the presence of false teachers, apostates and heresies infecting the Body of Christ our Lord said:

"Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant shall be uprooted. Let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. And if a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit." Matthew 15:13-14

Evolutionary ministers are blind guides leading blind sheep deeper and deeper into the void. Thus blessed is the man who does not place his trust in blind guides who stray after heresies and idols of men (Psalm 40: 4-5). Nor does he throw away his confidence in the Lord:

"it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised." (Hebrews 10:35-36)
