Militant atheism steals God from schools

There is an incredible story of Richard Wurmbrand, a Romanian Lutheran Pastor who refused to stop teaching and preaching about Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of Heaven. For his crime against the Soviet Union's official state religion of atheism the Soviet Socialists arrested Pastor Wurmbrand, put him in prison, and tortured him horribly for 14 years. His story is now the focus of a new film entitled, "Tortured for Christ." This author had the honor of meeting hero Pastor Wurmbrand in 1981 while attending Arizona College of the Bible.

Before modern-day Russia, the world remembered life "back in the USSR." And "you do not know how unlucky you are...back in the USSR." The millions of murders in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), filed under "scientific socialism," was fueled by communists' atheistic worldview.

The Soviet Socialists of the State created a sort of "Reign of Terror" over Christians throughout Russia and Eastern Europe. Soviet Union dictator Joseph Stalin and his henchmen created the "League of Militant Atheists," which focused on eliminating within the state-run Socialist school, the education of God, Jesus Christ, Christianity, and all religions. Jesus of Nazareth was especially persona non grata in the USSR.

Today there are influential teachers and professors who believe that those individuals who teach the children about Jesus are poisoning them. One such professor is the famous atheist Richard Dawkins, who likes to refer to himself as a "militant atheist." The same can be said for Dr. Lawrence Krauss. Dr. Dawkins did a TED Talks titled "Militant Atheism," in which he launches into a full-on appeal for atheists to make public their beliefs and to aggressively fight the incursion of religion into politics and education.

Fortunately, Dawkins and Krauss are not like the Soviet atheists who were totalitarians and who used the gun to enforce their militant atheism. However, today's militant atheists do want to use the State to stop any teaching that there is a personal God, YAHWEH-Jesus and that He created the universe. These radical atheists desire to see parental rights limited so children are not taught about the universe being created by a loving God through Jesus Christ. To quote Krauss, "Teaching children Creationism is child abuse."

That means parents have a limited, it seems to be, limited rights [sic] in determining what the curriculum is," Krauss said. Krauss argues for the State providing education to make sure all children have equal opportunity. But that is rubbish. These militant atheists are profoundly intolerant and reject an enlightened pluralistic educational society where children are raised by their parents learning about the loving God-Jesus and His example to love our neighbors. These radical atheists do not want other ideas about creation and the universe to be taught in schools by government mandate.

Jesus was the foundation of education in the early years of the American colonies and the republic, all the way to the 1960s. But now government schools have made Jesus another persona non grata and any discussion about Him is forbidden. That is not a true liberal education in liberty; it is simply indoctrination in tyranny.

Schools like FreedomProject Academy exist to counter the indoctrination and false narratives about God and Creation by the militant atheists and radical left-wing politicians. My fellow Americans, we must fight this battle in the halls of Congress, in state legislatures, and in universities across our great land.
