The liberal media establish shamelessly sold Obama instead of scrupulously scrutinizing him.


Abraham Lincoln closed his Gettysburg Address with the hope that "this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

Like Lincoln, President Obama is a lawyer. But President Obama is no Abraham Lincoln.

Lincoln was NOT a secular extremist, or a socialist, or a Democrat.

Lincoln believed in equal opportunity, not equal circumstances, and freedom, not governmental control.

President Obama's attempt to redistribute wealth and income by forcing Obamacare on America (to please and to buttress his political base) is a politically and economically risky scheme that will be detrimental to most Americans as well as a moral disgrace.

It WAS ascertainable and foreseeable, but Team Obama and its allies fooled enough folks for him to be elected and he is trying to transform America before his radicalism is generally appreciated.

Fact: now President Obama publicly supported the anti-capitalist single payer plan. Watch and listen to the videotape.

Reality: federal governmental control of America's health care system remains his goal.

Some learn, some never learn.

Irony: Team Obama is charging that public protest of Obamacare is "organized," while organizing public support for it.

"The same Democrats who had been hypersensitive about any perceived statement by Bush critical of their loyalty, shrieking repeatedly, 'Don't question our patriotism', at the drop of a hat jumped into line to denounce anyone questioning their leadership as mobs of extremists and political terrorists. The next stage wasn't far behind. The beat down.

"Obama's comments about the end of employer based health insurance was at an SEIU meeting. That of course was no coincidence. The SEIU is America's biggest health care union and its most radical union as well. The SEIU left behind the AFL-CIO. They're considered extremist even by union standards. And they're considered thuggish. How thuggish? So thuggish that their violence was actually condemned by the President of the AFL-CIO. After the violence at the Detroit Labor Notes conference last year, AFL-CIO President John Sweeney said, 'There is no justification — none — for the violent attack orchestrated by SEIU at the Labor Notes conference.'

"AFL-CIO is no shrinking violet union. It has a storied history of mobsters, ugly mugs and thugs. And to boot, John Sweeney himself was a former SEIU President who had tried to moderate the extreme path on which Andy Stern had taken the SEIU. That was because the SEIU was not simply thuggish and corrupt toward its members and businesses. It was that of course, but it was also remorselessly aggressive toward other unions as well. Stern had led the SEIU walkout of the AFL-CIO, finding it not aggressive enough for his taste. The SEIU's own feuds with UNITE and CNA, the California Nurses Union.

"The CNA is itself no shrinking violet, a solidly left wing organization with a taste for election tampering. The SEIU however had become the dominant American health care union by focusing its unionizing further down the ladder, and then working their way up to the nurses. While the CNA fought for an individual nurses union, the CEIU wanted one union to rule them all. The resulting battle saw regular SEIU violence, so much so that CNA actually applied for a restraining order against Andy Stern and SEIU union members, to 'cease and desist the stalking of, use of violence against, and harassment of officers, directors, and staff of the California Nurses Association/National Nurses Organizing Committee.'

"Under the restraining order, 'SEIU and Stern are prohibited from stalking, threatening, or following CNA/NNOC leaders staff at work, in hospitals, clinics, and offices, at their homes. They are also barred from following their cars or harassing them with mail or phone calls... The order was prompted by a campaign of stalking and harassment by Stern's SEIU over the past week in which SEIU teams have targeted CNA/NNOC leaders in nursing stations, harassed them at home, and followed cars.'

"This was preceded by a covert campaign by the SEIU to take over the CNA with a front organization, as well as a frontal assault at the Detroit Labor Notes conference, in which 800 SEIU members charged the stage, resulting in injuries and possibly one death outside. The CNA and SEIU have since then come together on their support for Single Payer healthcare, which is essentially a euphemism for health care nationalization.

"So there could have been no surprise at the White House, when the first wave of SEIU assaults on Town Hall meetings resulted in arrests. Obama's email dispatch followed by AFL-CIO President John Sweeney's dispatch targeting 50 high priority districts, were window dressing on the real dirty work that would be done by the SEIU union thugs.

"The SEIU had been Obama's major backers, kicking in 61 million dollars, and getting two cabinet appointments of their choice, the Health Secretary and the Labor Secretary. They were tied to Obama as power brokers even back in the Blagojevich era. Their appearance at the Town Halls quickly turned ugly, with barred doors, violence and arrests. Side doors were set up to pack the Town Halls with union members.

"SEIU Attacks citizens

"The following is a description of one SEIU attack,

'Kenneth was approached by an SEIU representative as Kenneth was handing out "Don't Tread on Me" flags to other conservatives. The SEIU representative demanded to know why a black man was handing out these flags. The SEIU member used a racial slur against Kenneth, then punched him in the face. Kenneth fell to the ground. Another SEIU member yelled racial epithets at Kenneth as he kicked him in the head and back. Kenneth was also brutally attacked by one other male SEIU member and an unidentified woman. The three men were clearly SEIU members, as they were wearing T-shirts with the SEIU logo. Kenneth was beaten badly. One assailant fled on foot; three others were arrested. Kenneth was admitted to St. John's Mercy Medical Center emergency room, where he was treated for his numerous injuries.'

"The media is naturally spinning this story as violence that people at the Town Halls critical of Obama's program are responsible for. Just as they covered for the SEIU during its attacks on CAN. But the facts are there for everyone to see. The SEIU has a well known history of thuggery and intimidation. Congressmen like Carnahan who provided a special section for them and packed his meetings with SEIU members, had every reason to expect exactly this sort of outcome. And Obama cannot claim to be uninvolved with the SEIU either.

"The Town Hall dissenters have often been elderly people, and therefore more vulnerable to SEIU thuggery. Obama made his own anti-democratic agenda quite clear when he stated that, 'I don't want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess,' Obama said to loud cheers. Well his SEIU goons have been getting people who disagree with him out of the way. And then beating and kicking while they're lying on the sidewalk, because they'e still not out of the way enough.

"Packing Town Halls with members of a violent left wing union, in order to keep dissenting views out, and engaging in violent attacks against against them if they don't keep out, is an assault on the most sacred symbol of American democracy. It's a tactic gleaned from a Bolshevik playbook, with violence used to suppress dissent in the name of the organized 'working class.' The violence of Obama's SEIU goons in the name of the ObamaCare revolution is nothing more and nothing less than the Obama Administration showing its real face.

"From calling for people to pass along any emails critical of ObamaCare to the White House, that is reminiscent of Soviet era informants programs (note that Democrats post 9/11 hysterically denounced a Bush White House plan to have postal workers and other local employees pass along tips about anyone suspected of planning terrorism as Orwellian, to hijacking Town Hall meetings to turn them into a bullhorn for Obama's agenda — it has become increasingly obvious that when democracy isn't going Obama's way, then rather than listen and go along, he's chosen to try and suppress it instead. If Obama and the Democrats have to choose between Democracy and ObamaCare, they've made their choice clear. Meanwhile the American people have made their choice clear as well in polls and town hall meetings. Which side will win, will determine whether America will be a free nation or not.

Team Obama is not just relying on the likes of union goons and ACORN thugs, however.

Here's the text of an email from Mitch Stewart of BarackObama.com trying to recruit Organizing for America members to visit members of Congress:

"All throughout August, our members of Congress are back in town. Insurance companies and partisan attack groups are stirring up fear with false rumors about the President's plan, and it's extremely important that folks like you speak up now.

"So we've cooked up an easy, powerful way for you to make a big impression: Office Visits for Health Reform.All throughout August, our members of Congress are back in town. Insurance companies and partisan attack groups are stirring up fear with false rumors about the President's plan, and it's extremely important that folks like you speak up now.

"So we've cooked up an easy, powerful way for you to make a big impression: Office Visits for Health Reform.

"All this week, [Organizing for America] members like you will be stopping by local congressional offices to show our support for insurance reform. You can have a quick conversation with the local staff, tell your personal story, or even just drop off a customized flyer and say that reform matters to you.

"We'll provide everything you need: the address, phone number, and open hours for the office, information about how the health care crisis affects your state for you to drop off (with the option of adding your personal story), and a step-by-step guide for your visit.

"According to our records, you live near [particulars deleted].

"Rep. ...'s office in....

"Sign up now to visit Rep. ...'s office in...this week.

"(Not your representative, or think there might be another office that's easier for you to get to? Click here to find a different office.)

"As you've probably seen in the news, special interest attack groups are stirring up partisan mobs with lies about health reform, and it's getting ugly. Across the country, members of Congress who support reform are being shouted down, physically assaulted, hung in effigy, and receiving death threats. We can't let extremists hijack this debate, or confuse Congress about where the people stand.

"Office Visits for Health Reform are our chance to show that the vast majority of American voters know that the cost of inaction is too high to bear, and strongly support passing health reform in 2009.

"Don't worry if you've never done anything like this before. The congressional staff is there to listen, and your opinion as a constituent matters a lot. And if you bring a friend, you'll have more fun and make an even greater impact.

"Wherever you live, these visits matter: Many representatives are pushing hard toward reform, and they are taking a lot of heat from special interests. They deserve our thanks and need our support to continue the fight. But those who are still putting insurance companies and partisan point-scoring ahead of their constituents must know that voters are watching — and that we expect better.

"Earlier this week, the President wrote that 'this is the moment our movement was built for' and asked us all to commit to join at least one event this month. This is the way to answer that call, and rise to the challenge of this moment together.

"Thank you for going the extra mile when it matters the most"

Dreams from My Father, the Community Organizer-in-Chief's autobiography, reveals much about his attitudes and intentions, including the "liberal racism" displayed during Gates Gate.

Like Mein Kampf, Dreams from my Father is a very revealing book that should have been taken seriously from the day it was published.

But the mainstream media prefers not to report what does not fit its political correctness agenda.

The liberal media establish shamelessly sold Obama instead of scrupulously scrutinizing him.

Obama, in Dreams from My Father: "It was usually an effective tactic, another one of those tricks I had learned: People were satisfied so long as you were courteous and smiled and made no sudden moves. They were more than satisfied, they were relieved — such a pleasant surprise to find a well-mannered young black man who didn't seem angry all the time."

But reporting how Obama conned white folks, including his mother, was not on the liberal media establishment's agenda.

ACORN whistleblower, ex-liberal and ex-Obama supporter Anita MonCrief gave both The New York Times and ABC the opportunity to do an Obama/ACORN expose, but neither wanted to go there.

I did and warned of the danger posed by candidate Obama before he became the 2008 Democrat presidential candidate.

In "The Obama as Savior and Unifier Myth" (April 2, 2008), I wrote:

"Do you think that a man who thinks of pregnancy and the birth of a baby as punishment is a person who will save America and bring Americans together?

"If you answer yes to that question, you are an Obamamaniac.

"Do you think that a lawyer who wants to deny the protection of the Fourteenth Amendment to babies born alive as a result of botched abortions is fit to be the President of the United States?

"If you answer yes to that question, you are an Obamamaniac.

"Do you think a rookie United States Senator running for President of the United States without any executive or military experience or significant legislative accomplishment should be elected because he promises change?

"If you answer yes to that question, you are an Obamamaniac.

"Do you think that a woman who puts 'the Black Community first and foremost' is fit to be the First Lady of the United States?

"If you answer yes to that question, you are an Obamamaniac.

"Do you think that a man who attended the church of Rev. Jeremiah A. 'God damn America' Wright, Jr. for about twenty years and brought his young daughters to hear Rev. Wright's sermons is fit to be President of the United States?

"If you answer yes to that question, you are an Obamamaniac.

"Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. telling the panelists on ABC's 'The View' about his church, Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Illinois: 'The church itself... is a wonderful, welcoming church. And if you guys went there on a Sunday, you would feel right at home. You would see people talking about Jesus, and mercy, and sin, and family ... and forgiveness.'

"Reality: S.A. Miller's illuminating article titled 'Obama's church founded on radical creed' was published on April Fool's Day 2008, but it was not an April Fool's joke.

"The article:

'The church where Sen. Barack Obama has worshipped for two decades publicly declares that its ministry is founded on a 1960s book that espouses "the destruction of the white enemy."'

"If a wholly white presidential candidate had a similar connection to a racist white church, how many people would think of him (or her) as presidential material?

"Some, unfortunately, but nowhere near enough to make him (or her) a viable presidential candidate.

"The article:

'Trinity United Church of Christ's Web site says its teachings are based on the black liberation theology of James H. Cone and his 1969 book "Black Theology and Black Power."

'"What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love," Mr. Cone wrote in the book.

'Mr. Cone, a professor at the Union Theological Seminary in New York, added that "black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy."'

"Rev. Wright stated in his tribute to his spiritual mentor, Samuel DeWitt Proctor, delivered at a conference in 2004 and included in a book published in 2005, that at college he grew 'to hate' '"honkies"' 'with each passing day' and that currently 'American oppression...keeps Africans in economic bondage.'

"Oprah Winfrey was smart to leave Rev. Wright's church.

"Obama chose NOT to leave.

"To be sure, the article reported Obama's position:

'Mr. Obama's campaign, which for weeks has weathered criticism about inflammatory racial language by the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. at Trinity, said the candidate "vehemently disagrees" with those tenets.

'"It's absurd to suggest that he or anyone should be held responsible for every quote in every book read by a member of their church," said Obama spokesman Reid Cherlin.

'"Barack Obama is not a theologian, and what he learned in church is to love Jesus Christ and work on behalf of his fellow man, regardless of race, class or circumstance. This is a faulty and disingenuous approach to a church, and a flawed way to judge a candidate," he said.'

"Translation: Obama realizes that he can't win if he's held responsible for Rev. Wright's anti-American, anti-white views, but he chose to stay instead of leave, and not to take exception to Rev. Wright's hateful remarks, so he's trying to equate Rev. Wright with a 'crazy' relative (even though people choose their pastors, but not their relatives) or with pastors or preachers who say something with which a parishioner disagrees but does not dispute and does not treat as reason to change pastors or preachers (even though, I believe, the list of pastors and preachers of all colors who ask God to damn America and claim that America invented the AIDS virus to exterminate black people, for examples, is mercifully short and Obama has been an elected public official for the last half of his twenty years with Rev. Wright).

"The article: 'Mr. Obama has been a member of Trinity, on Chicago's South Side, since finding religion there 20 years ago under Mr. Wright's mentorship. Mr. Wright married the Obamas and baptized their children, and a sermon of his inspired Mr. Obama to title his book "The Audacity of Hope."'

"Interestingly, Obama in his first book (written long before he ran for any public office) wrote extensively about his relationship with Rev. Wright and being brought to tears by his 'Audacity of Hope' sermon, but did not even mention Rev. Wright in the book, a presidential campaign book, even though he took as title for the book the title of Rev. Wright's sermon.

"Query, was the absence of any reference to Rev. Wright in Obama's The Audacity of Hope the result of a tendency to plagiarize, a sudden lack of gratitude...or a desire to distance himself from Rev. Wright because he figured that he had to if he was going to be a viable presidential candidate?

"The article: 'There is no evidence to date in any of Mr. Obama's public comments or speeches that he espouses the radical features of the black liberation theology practiced at his church.'

"But what do we know about the private Obama and his 'Black Community first and foremost' wife Michelle?

"Why would they choose Rev. Wright and stay with him for years if they repudiated his 'radical' views?

"The article: 'Critics say Trinity's message verges on separatist philosophy and at the very least advocates exclusively for blacks.'

"Read Rev. Wright's sermons and about Black Liberation Theology.

"The article: '"The liberation theology and the black-values system to which his membership ascribe is a clear commitment to the social and spiritual enhancement of only the black race," the Rev. Corey J. Hodges, who is black, wrote last year in the Salt Lake Tribune. "Even more troubling is Wright's use of the pulpit to perpetuate racial division."'

"It does not make sense that a man who purports to want to unify America would stay in such a church for any length of time, much less twenty years, at least without publicly separating himself from its radicalism and racism.

"The article: 'For years, Mr. Wright delivered sermons and endorsed articles in the church bulletin that called the United States and Israel racist regimes.'

"That would suggest that Obama is a calculating political opportunist who 'disinvited' Rev. Wright to his presidential candidacy announcement event...or that Obama is much too oblivious to be entrusted with the Presidency of the United States of America.

"The article: 'The bulletin's "pastor's page" included essays that said Israel and South Africa "worked on an ethnic bomb that kills blacks and Arabs," compared Israel to Nazi Germany and quoted leaders of the terrorist group Hamas calling Israel a "deformed modern apartheid state."'

"Obama supposedly didn't read those bulletins religiously and apparently neither his wife Michelle nor anyone else every read them and brought such repulsive remarks to Obama's attention.

"The article: 'In a bulletin last year, Mr. Wright lashed out at the news media for scrutinizing the church, blaming "racist United States of America" and "white arrogance" for distracting the country from more important issues, such as the Iraq war and Hurricane Katrina victims.'

"Obama apparently is much more comfortable criticizing white racism that he is in dealing with black racism.

"The article: 'The church declined to comment for this article, but the Rev. Otis Moss III, the church's junior pastor, who took over for Mr. Wright, wrote in the bulletin in October that media conglomerates "operate with contempt and disdain for the black community, women, and people of the African Diaspora."'

"Apparently Rev. Moss did not notice that the media was vigorously promoting the Obama campaign instead of scrutinizing Obama."

Is it "amazing" that the Obama Justice Department gave a pass to Black Panther voter intimidation?

Is it "amazing" that President Obama publicly stated that he did not have the facts AND that the police had acted "stupidly" in blatantly favoring his friend Professor Gates?

Not to those who looked beyond what the liberal media establishment was selling.

In "ACORN Should Be Obama's Undoing" (October 2, 2008), I wrote:" If the whole truth about ACORN and its long and intimate relationship with rookie United States Senator and 2008 Democrat presidential nominee Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. becomes fully and generally known, on Election Night 2008 Obama and his ACORNites will moan."

Luckily for Obama and ACORN, it did not.

BUT...the truth does not change and more and more Americans are becoming suspicious of the liberal media establishment and receptive to the truth.

Stanley Kurtz:

"...Obama's ties to Acorn — arguably the most politically radical large-scale activist group in the country — are wide, deep, and longstanding. If Acorn is adept at creating a non-partisan, inside-game veneer for what is in fact an intensely radical, leftist, and politically partisan reality, so is Obama himself. This is hardly a coincidence: Obama helped train Acorn's leaders in how to play this game. For the most part, Obama seems to have favored the political-insider strategy, yet it's clear that he knew how to play the in-your-face 'direct action' game as well. And surely during his many years of close association with Acorn, Obama had to know what the group was all about."

"When Obama was just a budding community organizer in Chicago, [Madeline] Talbott was so impressed that she asked him to train her personal staff.

"He returned to Chicago in the early '90s, just as Talbott was starting her pressure campaign on local banks. Chicago ACORN sought out Obama's legal services for a 'motor voter' case and partnered with him on his 1992 'Project VOTE' registration drive.

"In those years, he also conducted leadership-training seminars for ACORN's up-and-coming organizers. That is, Obama was training the army of ACORN organizers who participated in Madeline Talbott's drive against Chicago's banks.

"More than that, Obama was funding them. As he rose to a leadership role at Chicago's Woods Fund, he became the most powerful voice on the foundation's board for supporting ACORN and other community organizers. In 1995, the Woods Fund substantially expanded its funding of community organizers — and Obama chaired the committee that urged and managed the shift.

"That committee's report on strategies for funding groups like ACORN features all the key names in Obama's organizer network. The report quotes Talbott more than any other figure....

"MORE, the Obama-supervised Woods Fund report acknowledges the problem of getting donors and foundations to contribute to radical groups like ACORN — whose confrontational tactics often scare off even liberal donors and foundations.

"Indeed, the report brags about pulling the wool over the public's eye. The Woods Fund's claim to be 'nonideological,' it says, has 'enabled the Trustees to make grants to organizations that use confrontational tactics against the business and government 'establishments' without undue risk of being criticized for partisanship.'

"Hmm. Radicalism disguised by a claim to be postideological. Sound familiar? The Woods Fund report makes it clear Obama was fully aware of the intimidation tactics used by ACORN's Madeline Talbott in her pioneering efforts to force banks to suspend their usual credit standards. Yet he supported Talbott in every conceivable way. He trained her personal staff and other aspiring ACORN leaders, he consulted with her extensively, and he arranged a major boost in foundation funding for her efforts.

"And, as the leader of another charity, the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, Obama channeled more funding Talbott's way — ostensibly for education projects but surely supportive of ACORN's overall efforts.

"In return, Talbott proudly announced her support of Obama's first campaign for state Senate, saying, 'We accept and respect him as a kindred spirit, a fellow organizer.'

"In short, to understand the roots of the subprime-mortgage crisis, look to ACORN's Madeline Talbott. And to see how Talbott was able to work her mischief, look to Barack Obama.

"Then you'll truly know what community organizers do."

Bravo, Mr. Kurtz!

Is it "amazing" that the Obama-supporting ACORN 8 dropped Ms. Talbott and her husband as "defendants" in the complaint the ACORN 8 filed with the United States Justice Department last January?

Only if you don't know the ugly facts.
