GOP voters must bounce Susan Collins from U.S. Senate in 2020!

For a moment it appeared that Maine U.S. Senator Susan Collins was going to do the nation a favor and run for governor in 2018, but no such luck. On Friday, the liberal republican senator decided that she would run for reelection instead, according to ABC News. Honestly America can do without her anti-conservative opposition to President Donald Trump's Make America Great Again agenda.

If there was any GOP elected official on Capitol Hill who deserves to be shown the door in 2020, which cannot come too soon, Sen. Collins goes straight to the head of the class. The latest example of her often-rebellious stick it to the conservatives voting style was exemplified in the recent efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Even though the recent measures she rejected this summer were embraced by this same senator in recent years, her fecklessness and unprincipled behavior got the better of her.

The fact that she joined the unified chorus of GOP elected officials to repeal and replace the dreaded economic soul-destroying Obamacare law, she did an about face when finally, her vote would have counted for something. In effect, she not only let her Maine constituents suffer under the oppressive high premiums and low quality of care of Obamacare, her votes have stripped millions upon millions of Americans of the right to true healthcare freedom.

She, like her other GOP senate comrade in arms that care little for their campaign promises, i.e., Arizona Sen John McCain of Arizona or Alaska Sen Lisa Murkowski, have demonstrated that obstructionists should be removed from the senate in 2018. The three have taken the art of fence-sitting to a whole new level. Each has had an opportunity to offer their own version of what would be workable healthcare solutions, and in each instance their tepid support for alternative legislation has been insignificant.

Yet, Collins has to be the worst of the three, because she has relished her position in the senate as a near outsider whose best quality for years has been to be a stick in the mud of any meaningful conservative legislation in the senate.

While she believes that working with the other side of the aisle should be the goal, she in typical fairyland thinking, forgets that Senate Democrats primary goal is to gut any and all White House legislative initiatives from President Trump. If the other side keeps lobbing legislative grenades at conservative ideals that protect America's borders, the nation's Christian principles and economic freedom, why does she keep locking arms with them?

Here is the answer. She is not a republican. She is something that is a virtual throwback to an era when legislation was considered, debated and sometimes passed with the good of the nation in mind. But, after Democrats lost the 2000 presidential election, by trying to steal it in Florida, as they did in 1960 in Illinois and West Virginia, they have become a solid wall of opposition to nearly any and all GOP initiatives. Collins, refuses to acknowledge that fact, and so she continues to sit in her Capitol Hill office, considering new and perhaps inventive ways to stifle efforts to Make America Great Again.

Consider her egregious act to join with the "Gang of 14 democrat and republican senators that, ABC News reported, "prevented the so-called nuclear option by Senate Republicans over an organized use of the filibuster by Senate Democrats." She also introduced a senate bill to let transgender people serve in the military, without considering the ramifications it would have.

Even though, Collins was re-elected to the senate in 2014 with 68.5 percent of votes, Republican Gov. Paul LePage who is term limited in 2018 and cannot run again should seriously begin a campaign for the senate. His administration took an axe to out of control entitlement program growth which has resulted in a notable state surplus.

The time has come to go after these Republican in Name Only (RINO) elected officials and elected principled conservatives who are not afraid to stand up for America, the Constitution and Christian values. Silence is Betrayal.
