Obama's new American dream of Islamic appeasement

Do you remember where you were the day that America's Dream was assaulted, stripped bare, and left to endure a slow and lingering death? That day began on June 4th, 2009, when President Obama traveled to Cairo, Egypt and bowed his head to the Muslim World in a speech. He let the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamic extremists, know that they had a fellow traveler and friend in the White House.

The president was clear, convincing and concise. The values and principles of the nation which has guided America's founders, the defenders, and its citizens for over 233 years, by 2009, was laid upon the alter of Islam, like yesterday's refuse. The new American dream of apology first, neutrality second and attack from behind third, was the new legal, moral and presidential construct.

Mitt Romney refuses to lead America into Obama's years of apologetic Islamic darkness. He represents a clear choice for America's Dream and America's Future. There is a difference.

So, as Obama planned his trek to Cairo, Egypt, according to published reports from May 28th, 2009, the president insisted that at "least 10 members of the Muslim Brotherhood be allowed to attend the speech." to be delivered on June 4th.

His speech ominously called "A New Beginning" foreshadowed the commencement of a renunciation of America's values, its principles and time honored sovereignty. Instead in its place was Obama's re-interpretation of America, its values and its principles. He used friendly couched phrases to be an apologist first, and allow the nation to be a scapegoat for all real or imagined misdeeds that were offensive to the Muslim world.

Obama stressed, "Moreover, the sweeping change brought by modernity and globalization led many Muslims to view the West as hostile to the traditions of Islam." Obama used this as a conditional reason to massage the Muslim world's feelings of America and the West, not being in step or considerate of Islamic teachings.

But Obama proceeded to ignore the history of Islamic actions and its heinous practices against non-Muslims, Christians, women and other non-believers. Instead the president announces a new fictitious doctrine that aligns Islamic teachings and practices with America, opening the door for Islam and his new version of the American Dream for the nation.

He proceeded to realign a new misguided version of what Islam is and made a vigorous attempt to bind it together with America's Judeo Christian heritage. He said, "America and Islam are not exclusive, and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles — principles of justice and progress; tolerance and the dignity of all human beings."

Obama's appeasement attempt was clear. Distort the history of Islamic intolerance, violence, and practice and use a cleverly crafted array of mistruths to replace America's noble Judeo Christian heritage with a new downgraded version of the American Dream. This new version not only opens the door to Islamic practices, but in actuality gives them the keys.

When young idealists in Iran took to the streets less than a scant week later on June 13th 2009, in what was called the Green Revolution, Obama looked the other way. He ignored the demonstrations for a free, open and democratic electoral process. Obama's indecision resulted in hundreds of thousands of Iranian protesters having their dreams shattered by a totalitarian Islamic state.

Yet, this response by Iran was in keeping with Obama's new ideals of pursuit of liberty in the Arab world, but only by Islamic principles. So, as Egypt, Yemen, and Libya's Arab citizens moved from within to topple governments and replace them with strict Islamic principles, there was ever helpful Obama, willing to lend them, any and all arms, money or fictitious cover stories to benefit their insurrections.

In the world of the new American Dream construct of Obama, America's principles are redefined to mean: stay neutral and apologize for America's imagined transgressions. These transgressions include being an "interfering modern colonial empire" that dares to insult Islamic peoples a world away with such notions as "constitutionally protected free speech."

In the world of the "New American Dream," Obama finds it very legitimate to ask for the forgiveness of Islamic extremists who attack our embassies, threaten our consulates, and wage war on Americans and the nation's ideals.

Meanwhile, Obama's policy of appeasement, neutrality and apology is not just a sign of presidential weakness or fecklessness, but it is dangerous to Americans abroad and to the nation of Israel.

Obama has found time in his busy schedule to trade barbs with TV comic David Letterman, and plan a meet and greet with the new Muslim Brotherhood president of Egypt. Yet he cannot seem to make his schedule work for America's strongest ally in the Middle East's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu whose nation is now threatened more than ever by the emergence of mid-east Islamic radicalism.

President Ronald Reagan, then a private citizen, used a dynamic October 27th 1964 speech to warn the nation of losing the American Dream and its heritage. "You and I have the courage to say to our enemies, "There is a price we will not pay." There is a point beyond which they must not advance."

The impending danger was as clear to the 1964 world of Ronald Reagan as it is for Americans in 2012. The nation cannot witness nor permit the undoing of the American Dream and its values and principles now threatened by Obama's appeasement policies. The nation's values are not and will never be Islamic values.

November 6th is more than an election day for a president it is a call to action to all patriots of this nation to stand emboldened and not let Obama continue to rewrite America's heritage. As Reagan cautioned, "You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on Earth, or we will sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness."

Mitt Romney represents a clear choice for America's Dream and America's Future. So be that light for America's future on November 6th!
