The House will vote, perhaps today, on Rep. Mike Pence's amendment to the Continuing Resolution which would zero out taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood last year received $363 million in money yanked out of the wallets of Americans, many if not most of them pro-life, and used it to abort 324,000 babies, over a third of them African-American.

Democrats are apparently outraged that this genocidal attack on the African-American community is being threatened, and were in full throat last night in debate.

One Democrat, Rep. Gwen Moore of the democratically-challenged state of Wisconsin, argued that abortion is better for an unborn baby than a life "eating Ramen noodles" or "mayonnaise sandwiches."

This is revealing in stunning fashion. Here's a politician who has the unbridled arrogance to believe that she has the moral right to decide whether someone else's life is worth living. She has arrogated to herself the right to determine whether another human being lives or dies based on her own dietary value system. She apparently believes that anyone who eats Ramen noodles — count most graduate students in this category — does not have a life worth living. Wow.

Perhaps if the baby were asked if she would prefer death over Ramen noodles, she just might say no, I'd like to live, thank you very much, and actually Ramen noodles aren't all that bad. But if Gwen Moore gets her way, that baby will never get that choice.

Great news on the culture front. Al Cardenas, the new head of CPAC, said pointedly that groups that support the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and homosexual marriage will not be invited back to CPAC in 2012. That's the end of the road for GOProud, whose agenda includes both, and likely means that FRC, AFA and Heritage Foundation will return to the CPAC fold, just in time for the monumental 2012 election cycle. Good for Mr. Cardenas for acting so decisively and so quickly.

Cardenas is also unhappy with Ron Paul's acolytes, who booed Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney at this year's CPAC, calling them "war criminals" while doing so. Cardenas warned the Paulites that they might not be invited back next year either. Since Ron Paul is not a genuine conservative — he believes in just one leg of the three-legged stool — this would not be a loss for CPAC but rather a net gain. All this creates the likelihood that Cardenas will put the "C" back in CPAC, and not a moment too soon.

UC Davis crafted a religious discrimination policy that defined such discrimination as a crime that no one but a Christian could possibly commit. Apparently they haven't been paying attention to every Muslim nation in the world, where Christianity is illegal and conversion to Christianity is a capital offense. Fortunately, authorities at UC Davis have changed the policy, but the mere fact that the policy could have been enacted in the first place shows that Christians, in fact, are the main victims of discrimination on today's college campuses.

We are spending American treasure and spilling American blood in Afghanistan, to prop up a Muslim regime which has sentenced Said Musa to death — his execution is imminent — for the crime of converting from Islam to Christianity. What is America, a Christian nation, doing in Afghanistan to use the might of our military to protect Mr. Musa's basic human right to the free exercise of religion? Nothing, zip, nada, zilch. Apparently we're perfectly willing to let him fry. If we're not going to protect the civil rights of Christians in Afghanistan, what we are doing there? Is this the kind of nation Americans want their country to build, a nation which has no respect for basic human rights?

Since President Obama's $862 billion stimulus package was enacted, 2.6 million jobs have disappeared, unemployment (according to Gallup) is up over 10%, and the president has plunged every American household $29,666 deeper in debt. Obama's new spokesman said yesterday, speaking on the second anniversary of the stimulus, that its "goals have been met." That's only true if your goal is to do as much damage to the American economy as possible in the shortest amount of time.

Speaking of the gargantuan and mutant growth of government, the budget for the Department of Health and Human Services is now bigger than the entire federal budget of 1965, even adjusted for inflation. And LBJ was fighting the war in Vietnam and the War on Poverty with that budget. Is the federal government maybe just a tad too big today?

A male high school wrestler in Iowa conceded his first round match in the state tournament because his opponent was a girl. Because of his faith and his values, he does not believe this kind of intimate physical contact with a female is either right or appropriate. Good for him. I would think the next male who wrestles her, given the kind of grappling that takes place on the mat, could be arrested for sexual assault. The LPGA in California is now letting biological males compete in women's golf events as long as they think they are females trapped in the wrong body, and similar gender bending is taking place in women's college basketball. It's about time for a return to sanity and biological science here. An individual is either male or female in every single cell of his or her body, has been since the moment of conception, and will be until the moment of death. All public policy should be based on that simple biological, scientific and genetic fact.

As you are aware, Democratic legislators in Wisconsin fled the state in a bus yesterday to derail the democratic lawmaking process. They holed up at a tony resort in Illinois that offers a waterslide. This raises the question: Who is paying for this, for the bus, the food, the room rentals? Hmm?

Democratic lawmakers fled the state of Texas several years ago in a similar maneuver. All of which raises the question: do Democrats hate democracy? It looks from here like they do.

If they can't get what they want through the legislative process, they either go to an activist judge to get it, or take the gavel and haul it out of state. Either way, they seem determined to sabotage democracy and our republican form of government in any way they can.

By the way, the average salary of striking teachers in Wisconsin is a cool $77,718. Makes it a little hard to work up sympathy for them, doesn't it?

And speaking of the new tone of civility the president has called for, school teachers have likened Wisconsin governor Scott Walker to Adolph Hitler, called him a rapist, called for his death, and paraded around pictures of him with crosshairs painted dead center between his eyes. What makes this all the more telling is that the president's political action arm, Organizing for America, is behind all this agitation.

Again, the question is worth asking: Do Democrats hate democracy?

Now we find out that three students from Afghanistan who came to America on a one-month exchange-type program are missing, and U.S. authorities have no idea where they are. What could possibly go wrong here?

The heads of Germany, England and France have all now publicly pronounced that multiculturalism has been a disastrous and dismal failure in their countries. What's it going to take for us to get the picture? Learning from our allies across the pond can save us an enormous amount of pain and misery and civil unease in the years to come.

It turns out that 14 of the 15 biggest recipients of U.S. foreign aid vote against us at the U.N. more than 50% of the time. Israel, which votes with us 97% of the time, is the lone exception. Sounds like that's a place where we can use the president's scalpel to trim the federal budget, know what I mean?

Wingers on the left are apparently disturbed that only 13% of contributors to Wikipedia are female, and they demand an explanation. But there is no screening for gender — anyone of any gender can contribute to Wikipedia if he chooses. The simplest explanation: God has made men different from women. God "created them male and female," and they are different in every cell of their bodies. We shouldn't be surprised to seem some of those differences on occasional display.
