Living in America

I thank RenewAmerica.com for giving me this opportunity to speak to America's circumstances.
In a nutshell: I was born and raised in California — a little bit Irish, a little bit English, a little bit Cherokee, an American through and through. Baby Boomer, born in '55, watched the social turmoil of the 60's, the turn to selfishness as a way of life in the 70's, the exacerbation of the selfishness in the 80's, the complete chaos and abandonment and devaluation of principles in the 90's, and now watching as the nation appears poised to fall into the sinkhole of Communism in the first decade of the New Millennium.
I watch and wait, poised to take action, all the while helping men and women escape the trappings and the trap that is selfishness. Heart-broken over the matter-of-fact Liar that has replaced the Honest American, overcome with grief as person after person buys into the Lie and becomes more self-reliant every day, leaning on the crumbling foundation of their own understanding, calling their opinions "my truth" and "your truth," oblivious to the fact that they have lost touch completely with Reality.
America, like a drug addict who has come to the end of themselves, appears to be exploding in one last flare of arrogance and self-importance before she falls collectively face-first into the hands of the Communists who have been hard at work for the past 40 years, successfully taking over one of the major political parties in our country. Oblivious to the occupation taking place right beneath her nose as she chased the almighty dollar, avoided motherhood and fatherhood in favor of careers and nights out with friends, drank herself silly, used medications and marijuana to become even more oblivious to it all, like an addict in denial, America continues to stumble into the gutter, still so self-absorbed she has no idea she's lost control of her very home — our nation.
Having been raised in middle-class Americana, active in Little League, ice hockey, school politics, and eventually drugs in the 70's, full of the kind of hope that came with being raised in America, where anything is possible and the sky is the limit — this kind of opportunity is available to all.
Correction: Where anything was possible, and the sky is now owned by the government... along with the financial institutions, the auto industry, and the list has only just begun, as our own government begins to nationalize any and every major entity it can, paying huge dividends to their friends who are turning over the keys to America's businesses and independence to the our government.
This will be a frank look at the effect that 40 years of liberalism has had in practically destroying a once-great nation, the most powerful and influential nation in the history of Mankind, which has now been handed over to Socialist/Communists who long for a One World government, who have already put in place the World Bank which will manage the One World assets of an attempt at global Communism, a social model that has never, ever worked whenever people were involved.
Depressing enough yet? Well, there is Good News. It's not over yet. Some of us aren't willing to hand America over to men who want to rule the world. It's going to start getting very interesting in America right about now...
