July 27 – Viktor Orban: Russia winning "soft power" by rejecting homosexuality

Western values, which were the essence of so-called “soft power” and thought to be universal, are demonstratively unacceptable and rejected in ever more countries around the world. It has turned out that modernity, modern development, is not Western, or at least not exclusively Western — because China is modern, India is becoming increasingly modern, and the Arabs and Turks are modernizing and not becoming modern by importing Western values at all. Western soft power has been replaced by Russian soft power because now the key to the propagation of Western values is LGBTQ. Anyone who does not accept this is now in the “backward” category, as far as the Western world is concerned.

I do not know if you have been watching, but I think it is remarkable that in the last six months, pro-LGBTQ laws have been passed by countries such as Ukraine, Taiwan, and Japan. But the world does not agree. Consequently, today Putin’s strongest tactical weapon is the Western imposition of LGBTQ and resistance to it. What used to be Western soft power has now been transformed into Russian soft power — like a boomerang.”

July 26 – The Olympics begins with a gay ‘parody’ of Jesus’ Last Supper

The Olympic parade began with a mockery of the Last Supper. A fat lesbian played Jesus and his disciples were drag queens. A nude man painted blue sang (in French) “Where to hide a revolver when you’re completely naked?” The gay producer of the overture claimed, “My wish isn’t to be subversive, nor to mock or to shock. Most of all, I wanted to send a message of love, a message of inclusion and not at all to divide.”

If you can’t believe a producer…

The fat lesbian posted that the world had seen “the New Gay Testament.”

Rod Dreher called the mockery “a floor show for the Antichrist.”

Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orban’s thought?

“At the end of the day, every nation has the right to show its true colors. That’s what we saw.”

Bet on it, soon this Paris Olympics will be mainly remembered for the homosexual mockery. Why? Because homosexuals were the shiny object, not the mere athletes.

New England Journal of Medicine grovels before homosexuals

One of the oldest and most prestigious journals in the world surrendered its pages to apologize to homosexuals and join in certifying homosexuality as "healthy." The NEJM July 27th headline? “A Legacy of Cruelty to Sexual and Gender Minority Groups” “This article is part of an invited series…focused on biases and injustice that the Journal has historically helped to perpetuate. We hope… to learn from our mistakes. [DOI: 10.1056/NEJMp2407068]

Below are some “mistakes” that alert that empiricism – which has generally made medicine more apt to cure – has been trumped by wokeism.

“An accounting of medical injustices against members of sexual and gender minority groups [SGM] (including …LGBT+ people) requires unearthing the cruel, inhumane, and stigmatizing articles published in the Journal, which has pathologized homosexuality and gender nonconformity even as recently as the 2010s.”

Homosexuals want everyone to regard their activities as normal and healthy – anything else is “unjust, cruel, and inhumane.” They would have us believe their diseases are caused by being scorned rather than by germs or injuries.

“It should not be surprising that LGBTQ+ communities face health disparities and outsized ill effects related to every major disease.... The simple fact is that to protect themselves from further harm, LGBTQ+ people avoid care at deadly costs.”

Since the early 1990s, a federal survey [the NSDUH] has yearly interviewed tens of thousands of citizens and has published multiple tests of this “simple fact.” Does knowing they are not accepted as ‘normal’ and that they might be blamed for their diseases cause still “further harm?”

If so, homosexuals’ problems are society’s fault!

Indeed, the “legacy of characterizing SGM people as deviant and disturbed persists, playing out in examination rooms, medical schools, and state houses to this day.”

The influence of the NEJM is substantial, and this article’s characterizing of so many widely accepted statements as unscientific will find its way into many associations, journals, bureaucracies, legislatures and courts.

Why do so many continue to be “cruel, inhumane, and stigmatizing?” Might it be due to the NSDUH and the findings from similar large representative surveys? Let us look.

NSDUH findings from 2021-2022 (LGBTs v straights) and 2023 for Whites v Blacks.

The NSDUH accesses the nation’s illegal drug use and mental health. Table 1 summarizes the average of two years of homosexuals v straights and a year (2023) of Blacks v Whites comparisons (generally age-adjusted, rounded to whole numbers).

Does discrimination decrease mental health or increase substance abuse as per the woke philosophy? Row 3 of Table 1 indicates both gays (49%) & lesbians (43%) were more apt to report any illicit drug use in the last year and any mental illness; while Whites reported slightly less illicit drug use and perhaps a tad more frequent mental illness (rows 6, 7, 8 & 10 [reversed]). Row 7, serious mental illness, and row 10, attempted suicide (with medical intervention), indicate serious personal and costly problems for society. LGBTs were about twice as apt to reveal any (row 6), but three times more serious mental illness (row 7). And LGBTs were more frequently involved in both mental illness & substance abuse disorder (row 9).

The 1996 NSDUH used slightly different questions, but 31% of homosexuals (v 13% of straights) and 15% of Blacks (v 13% of Whites) reported illegal drug use. Similarly, 17% of homosexuals (v 11% of non-homosexuals) and 9% of Blacks (v 8% of whites) were judged to have at least one of 4 mental health issues (Psychological Reports 2005, 96, 915-961). The NSDUH found illegal drug use doubled from 1996 to 2023 for both Blacks (15% to 28%) and Whites (13% to 26%). Illegal drug use by those who engaged in homosexuality (31% to 49%) and by straights (13% to 24%) also significantly increased.

On issue after issue, large differences between LGBTs and non-homosexuals and no or few small differences between Whites and Blacks have been documented by the NSDUH. Discrimination against Blacks is easier as your race is generally visible, but unless signaled by mannerisms or dress, homosexuals are not. Blacks in the US usually have lower incomes, occupy less prestigious jobs, have less education, etc. while homosexuals tend to have more disposable income, more education, etc. Yet the races’ self-reported happiness (or mental health) and substance abuse have been roughly ‘the same’ for the last three decades. At the same time, the celebration of homosexuality in schools, governments, and the media has contributed to tripling the proportion of homosexuals among US youth. Yet, even though growing in numbers, homosexuals continued to be significantly more disturbed, disruptive and costly.

A great deal of mental health (or happiness) is an achievement: being grateful for what life offers while also avoiding those activities that tend toward harm. Generally, you are born with a race and a sex and neither can be changed. But smoking, mountain climbing, sex with children, having sex with your sex, getting married, having children, using illegal drugs, etc. are among the many choices that might brighten your life or bring you sorrow.

The authors of the NEJM article present almost any criticism of homosexuality as being vile disinformation. The authors of this stunning article ‘disinformationize’ many statements accepted by professionals just a few decades (and at times, just a few years) ago. Each of these statements has the full weight of the NEJM behind it and will likely be labeled ‘professionally acknowledged disinformation’ in all kinds of consequential settings (e.g., hearings, courts).

“There can be no doubt that sexual perversions, especially homosexuality, in otherwise normal persons is a frequent cause of suicide.”

Examine row 10 in Table 1. Does anyone know why anyone in this dataset attempted suicide? No. But LGBTs reported about 4X the rate of straights. Does it look as though homosexuals more frequently attempt and succeed at suicide? Obviously. Is this the "definitively correct" conclusion? We can’t know. But the NEJM has put its prestige behind absolving homosexuality for more suicides – what appears to have substantial empirical merit is "disinformation!"

Because the consequences of the NEJM adopting woke over empiricism could be so vast (Supreme Courts cite it frequently), in my next column I will address – from an empirical perspective – more of these woke-based absolutions of homosexuality.
