Trump exposes Planned Parenthood's priority: baby killing

This week's tacit admission by Planned Parenthood should come as no surprise.

Astounding news this week, to be sure! The Trump administration told Planned Parenthood that if it would stop doing abortions, not only would the administration stop its intention to defund Planned Parenthood, but it might actually increase the organization's federal funding. How did Planned Parenthood respond? It said no!

You see, killing babies is where the profit is – a profit from the combination of the actual fees collected for the killing plus the extra dollars the organization receives for providing baby body parts once the abortion is over.

Money is nice, I guess, but killing is even better. At least that's the sense I got after the recent brouhaha created as a result of this offer. PP CEO Cecile Richards said in a press release issued shortly after the Trump offer: "The White House proposal that Planned Parenthood stop providing abortion is the same demand opponents of women's health have been pushing for decades, as a part of their longstanding effort to end women's access to safe, legal abortion." But Richards did not stop there. In a Tweet, she said: "Planned Parenthood is proud to provide abortion – a necessary service that's as vital to our mission as birth control or cancer screenings."

Proud? Yep! Abortion is so sacred to Richards and her allies that they are willing to give up $500 million in government subsidies rather than stop this deadly "service." Five hundred million. Let that number sink in. And let us not forget that Planned Parenthood is a master at eugenics, especially when it comes to low-income African American and Latino expectant mothers.

In addition, Planned Parenthood wants America to believe it doesn't even use tax dollars for abortion. But anyone who thinks this through knows better and understands that those tax dollars are fungible. PP understands this all too well.

When an organization kills a baby and calls it healthcare, what else will it lie about?

Obviously many politicians and even members of Trump's family are squeamish about going after Planned Parenthood's funding. Ivanka Trump has urged caution when dealing with Planned Parenthood. And this article from the Atlantic entitled "How Planned Parenthood Could Derail Obamacare Repeal" exhibits this hesitancy as well when it states: "Abortion is in some ways a microcosm of the GOP's broader struggle on healthcare. . . . If Republican leaders move to the right on Planned Parenthood, they risk losing the support of moderates, but postponing the fight to future legislation could doom the repeal effort with the far larger group of conservatives."

As the political battle moves forward, we must keep our eye on the real problem. We have always known that Planned Parenthood basks in its own deceit on many levels. Now the real surprise is that Planned Parenthood is banking on the fact that the Trump administration's threat of losing tax dollars will mobilize its adherents, its funding base, and its political allies.

My guess is that a battle royal is on the horizon, but we are not about to be sucked into that black hole. No, we will keep our eyes trained on spreading the facts:
  • Planned Parenthood is enamored with child killing.

  • Planned Parenthood is wedded to the idea that aborting a baby is healthcare.

  • Planned Parenthood is dehumanizing women and their babies by offering anything but selfless support for expectant mothers.

  • Planned Parenthood cannot collect the big bucks by saving lives, only by taking them.
The media calls the Trump offer a "war on women."

We call it a clever strategy.

The Trump offer has left no doubt about Planned Parenthood's real priority. Unmasked and parading its choice with arrogance, Planned Parenthood has made it clear: It loves killing even more than it loves money.

Who knew?
