Which witch?

Though many organizations would like the investigation into the baby body parts scandal to fade into obscurity, the truth will reveal itself.

The United States Congress has been conducting an ongoing investigation into the use and possible sale of aborted baby body parts. Most recently it was discovered that "the company StemExpress and a number of Planned Parenthood abortion clinics shared patients' private health information potentially in violation of the law while harvesting aborted baby body parts."

Despite this, the American Civil Liberties Union, along with several other groups of varying interests, sent a letter to House Speaker Paul Ryan requesting that he disband the select committee. These organizations, including the National Center for Lesbian Rights, the environmental group Sierra Club, and the labor union AFSCME, allege no evidence of wrongdoing has been found and therefore the committee is on a witch hunt!

Apparently the evidence uncovered by the congressional select committee does not measure up to the ACLU definition of evidence. While this is not surprising, it is a bit disingenuous. Lest we forget, the same ACLU has fought hard against Catholic hospitals that refuse to provide abortion, alleging that this refusal to kill the preborn is harming "women by taking taxpayer dollars for public services yet upholding their belief in the dignity of every human life."

Sounds strange, does it not?

These two starkly different actions by the ACLU prove that the ACLU has a double standard when it comes to facts and evidence. The fact that scientific evidence proves that the preborn human being exists and that this truth supports the Catholic hospitals' position does not serve the ACLU's pro-abortion agenda. Therefore it works to undo the undoable.

On the other side of the argument, the ACLU has organized the effort to persuade House Speaker Ryan to dismantle the house select committee because it fears the discovery of truth and the possible resulting defunding of its ally, Planned Parenthood. Sounds like twisted logic to me. But the congressional investigation coupled with the revelations uncovered by the Center for Medical Progress videos – including the most recent episode – will not go away.

In addition, we must not forget that the state of Missouri has done its own investigation and has uncovered plenty of evidence. The state senate committee "began investigating the abortion business after the Center for Medical Progress released the first of its shocking undercover videos last summer. St. Louis, Missouri, was mentioned in one undercover video as a possible location to obtain aborted baby body parts for research." Planned Parenthood's pathologist James Miller actually handles aborted baby body parts, yet he refused to provide materials for the state senate investigation and invoked his Fifth Amendment rights.

Even so, the committee continued with its investigation and issued a final report which revealed that Planned Parenthood "does not follow state statute and regulations for the disposal of human remains" and that "the findings of this investigation provide compelling evidence that Missouri's laws on inspections, medical malpractice, transparency and whistleblower protections, as they relate to the abortion industry, need to be strengthened."

Again, hard evidence reveals the truth. It suggests that there is no good reason for the ACLU and its cronies to cry "foul" and claim that witch hunts are occurring.

But who is on the real witch hunt? Clearly those with a vested interest in the enterprise of killing the preborn have much to lose. Their hunt to deny truth by mixing up a brew of deception seems to be driving them frantic as the truth of the matter unfolds.

One thing is clear: Evil has always detested the light of truth.
