In today's world, we don't often see men fighting for the truth at great personal cost. Let us keep this real hero in our prayers.

The story of David Daleiden, founder of The Center for Medical Progress, has recently developed a new twist. Best known for his investigative journalism, Daleiden, with the help of collaborators, used hidden cameras to document the untold story of Planned Parenthood's baby body parts business. The CMP document How Planned Parenthood Profits from Fetal Tissue 'Donation' contains copious footnotes and reads like a textbook case of discovery regarding how the business is conducted.

The series of videos CMP produced, revealing Planned Parenthood's stealth operations and collaboration with various for-profit bioscience companies, has gained worldwide attention. As a result, as one might have suspected, this brought Daleiden under the foggy telescope of those who will stop at nothing to protect Planned Parenthood's image.

This is how it came to pass that a Texas grand jury indicted Daleiden. Earlier this year we learned that "instead of prosecuting Planned Parenthood for selling aborted baby parts, Daleiden was indicted for [offering to buy] them. If convicted, Daleiden faces 20 years in prison while Planned Parenthood officials face no legal consequences for their actions."

But now a revelation may finally right the wrongs in this case. It has been reported that "the lawyer for Planned Parenthood who has been accused of colluding with the Harris County DA against the Planned Parenthood undercover videographer, signed an affidavit to deny this charge, but admits that a prosecutor gave him a copy of the undercover video." This seems more than suspicious, and as part of Daleiden's defense – and in an effort to set the record straight – attorneys in Texas who are defending Daleiden and Sandra Merritt have filed a "motion to quash," asking that the indictments against them be dismissed.

Breitbart News, which has covered the case from the beginning, reports:
Daleiden's lawyers charge that "the prosecutors have systematically leaked Grand Jury proceedings to unauthorized persons." They argue, "There is no justifiable basis for this conduct and granting this Motion to Quash the Indictments is the only appropriate remedy." They urge that "The cumulative effect of the above-listed actions violated Mr. Daleiden's due process rights," the Equal Protection clause of the U.S. Constitution, and the due course of law provision of the Texas Constitution. They urge this has "caused him irreparable harm" and the "tainted grand jury indictment [should] be quashed."

Terry Yates told Breitbart Texas, "As a whistleblower to the atrocities committed at Planned Parenthood, my client and Sandra Merritt are heroes, not criminals." He added, "The powerful Planned Parenthood abortion money-making machine are coming back and hitting my client hard. In doing so, they are being not only vindictive, but are feverishly working to detract from their behavior at these baby-killing, baby-part selling clinics."
Indeed, the record shows that several questionable actions are in play and have been since the first Center for Medical Progress video aired months ago. Planned Parenthood has been exposed as an organization immune from any form of respect for the dignity of the human being – born or preborn. It has deceived the public repeatedly, alleging that it was not doing anything unethical and even calling into question the contents of the CMP videos themselves, calling them trumped up and "heavily edited." In addition, Planned Parenthood has deceived Congress by denying that it profits in any way from the sale of aborted baby body parts.

Thus it seems that the horrors of the practices Planned Parenthood has engaged in for years may finally get their own day in court. It is our sincere hope that the indictments are quickly quashed. Failing that, we pray that Daleiden and Merritt are found not guilty, for like the Man of La Mancha, Daleiden has been willing "to march into hell for a heavenly cause."
