“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness” (1Cor 3:19).
Governor Newsom sent Trump’s plan to bring water to southern California to the courts.
He then sent or diverted funds for California’s emergencies and sundry problems to illegal immigrants.
Finally, he and Mayor Bass sent an enormous cache of surplus firefighting equipment to Ukraine.
The water, the money and the equipment are gone – but the wind returned and joined forces with the fire, the rest is history.
Being hyper-critical just to label people as foolish or dumb is damaging at best. But examining the result of their actions is still the most reasonable way to decide if they should be called to leadership again.
If wisdom ever comes home again to California it should be sufficient to show Gov Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Bass the door.
Fact Check: Did California Donate Firefighting Equipment to Ukraine?
This reservoir on the Sacramento River has been planned for decades. What’s taking so long?
LAURA: Biden and Newsom should be ashamed of themselves
As with all disasters, the questions of how and why rage as the smoke clears.
If we ask Mayor Bass, we get a long pause, because there is no way to explain her absence due to the inauguration of the new president of Ghana.
Asking California’s super narcissistic Gov. Newsome will get the standard political rhetorical squirming and obfuscation.
Asking a California resident from the area will get you a well-deserved blast of anger for both Governor and Mayor.
Listen to it.
It would seem that asking for answers from fire officials might provide the clearest explanation of what went wrong.
Don’t count on it!
This is what the Daily Caller said about that.
“The city cut the LAFD’s budget by almost $20 million last year, with the bulk of the cuts hitting the department’s operational supplies. Los Angeles officials have come under fire over the Los Angeles Fire Department’s (LAFD) pursuit of a 'racial equity plan' under Chief Kristin Crowley, whose biography touts her as 'the first female and LGBTQ Fire Chief' in the agency’s history.”
Finally, for the few who will go beyond the questions of how and why – some will ask the question of who?
Some will conclude that the moral wasteland known as Los Angeles, with all of its millionaires, celebrities and wandering fallen angels, finally met up with God’s judgment.
Oh no! God would never be so harsh or severe.
Don’t count on that either.
God can use good or evil to get the attention of the wandering stars.
You can count on that.
“And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil” (Zep 1:12).
