Does the Bible speak to our 2024 election?

It would be too easy just to say that the Bible speaks to every election, but this year it is blatantly obvious that every law and commandment of God is being broken, defied, or tested.

Some morality has changed permanently due to a general acceptance. It is the nature of cultural change. It is a tiny bit of bacteria added to an entire tank of milk, growing and spreading, oh, so slowly, to produce a cheese or a yogurt. It's slow, but impossible to stop.

It is seen everywhere.

When Greg Gutfeld discussed the horrors of child transgendering, he tagged his statement with a note about being gay. He gave a Seinfeld kind of answer. And who doesn’t remember hearing Jerry repeating the line a thousand times.

“Not that there is anything wrong with that.”

This may be America today, but the timelessness and unchanging universality of God’s word answers with this.

“And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.” (Luke 16:15)

We are so far down the path on so many issues that even after some self-correction we are still in deep trouble with God. Popular acceptance of homosexuality does nothing in God’s eyes to justify such behavior. It will remain an abomination to the very last day of time.

Add the cry of MAHA to our MAGA?

Make America Holy Again, has never been a political slogan. That is usually the cry of the faithful who long for revival.

Since our nation is far down the road toward Armageddon along with the rest of the world, prophetically speaking, there is little chance of stopping this bit of cultural seed seeping throughout the tank of milk.

Beware the quest for greatness when it is not proceeded with a call to holiness.

God once told the prophet Jeremiah that when the Babylonians came to destroy Israel and take them all away as captives, he would see that Jeremiah was saved and promoted, and kept safe.

When Jeremiah’s amanuensis (secretary or assistant) wanted some of that, God rebuked him with this.

“And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.” (Jer 45:5)

What we can see here is the call to greatness being trimmed down to God’s call to be submissive and thankful so you may get away with just the preservation of your own life.

In fact, the recurrent theme of the bible is that God gives greatness to men based on their holiness (separateness) but he never encourages them to seek greatness. He always calls them to holiness.

“Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy” (1Pet 1:16).

If you are going to use Hitler as the test, let’s put the test on Kamala as well

Jesus Christ gave fair warning against the Pharisees and any others who said all the right things, but did evil things on a daily basis.

“Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” (Mt 7:16)

It is not what they say it is what they do.

From 1933 to 1938, Hitler produced rallies in Nuremberg that would make Trump’s rally at MSG look like a small event. But that is where the Nazi propaganda was largely disseminated, with cheers and acclamation.

But it is what they did that gave the Nazi’s and Hitler there everlasting legacy. Let’s compare:

  • Third Reich and Hitler talked a big, game but gave us the slaughter of six million Jews.

  • The democratic party, Kamala and Roe talked about healthcare and protection but gave us the death of 60 million babies.

Since ten times as many babies died than Jews, who is ahead in this comparison?

Seems that if this were a killing contest, the Democrats and Kamala would make Hitler, and the Nazis, look like amateurs.

It is not a rally that makes someone look Hitleresque. It is the fruit!

Using the Hitler test on Trump is an act of desperation, but using it on herself would be an act of self-destruction.

In the last day, Roe will offer no one protection. We will all stand naked and exposed before God. Even who we voted for will be revealed. Voting to re-install Roe is a vote for more killing.

“For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither anything hid, that shall not be known and come abroad” (Luke 8:17).
