The perversion and terrorism connection - modern man's ball and chain

"History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new. Sometimes people say, here is something new! But actually it is old; nothing is ever truly new." (Ecclesiastes 1: 9-10 NLT)

The wise King Solomon seemed almost cynical in his view of man, but he accurately surmised that the compunctions of mankind were always just about the same, even though, there are plenty of new things in our modern world.

While everyone is in some ways unique, there is one part of man that remains fairly uniform and constant, to wit:

"The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works." (Ps 33: 13-15)

Hearts are not only fashioned alike, but they all share the same proclivities and desires with all but the rarest exceptions. The prophet Jeremiah, speaking under the power of the Holy Spirit, summed it up the best.

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings." (Jer 17: 9-10)

All advances in science, education, economics, politics and every area of society are colored by these compunctions. Modern man cannot escape the influence of his own nature any more than could the ancients of our world.

The inability to change the heart has resulted in endless justifications and devices to relieve guilt, bad attitudes and everything else man can conjure, all the way up to murder and genocide.

The number one attempt to relieve culpability has resulted in an attack on the number one moral guide found in our world – the Bible.

Although few in this world understand it, and most Christians barely get it, the Old Testament laws were given to be a tutor or a schoolmarm. When grace and mercy came through Jesus Christ, the laws were fulfilled in Christ and were also incorporated by him into what the Apostle James labeled the Royal Law of Scriptures. (James 2: 8)

But when we are in doubt as to what sin really is – we look back to the Old Testament Mosaic Laws for some basic guidance. It is there that we see that the idea of terrors and terrorism are spoken of 56 times. Not only are they mentioned often, but the cause of them is cited.

Terrorism has an identifiable source and it always has!

When the law was given dozens of blessings were promised if the laws were taken seriously and adhered to, but curses were also pronounced if they were disregarded and snubbed.

"But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it." (Lev 26: 14–16)

When people talk of judgment they are usually referring to the "final judgment." But the concept of an ongoing judgment is never addressed. The thorn on the rose is not understood. But when the law was given and re-iterated in the pages of Deuteronomy 28 after pronouncing 14 verses of blessings for those who kept the law, the same chapter lists 54 curses for those who don't.

Deuteronomy also identifies one of the results of leaving God's laws as "Terrors." The distinction between outside wars and internal terrors is also made in the event that the ancient Israelites might be inclined to think it was merely coincidence that brought them such severe problems.

"The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs." (Dt 32: 25)

Connecting the dots – God Likens the Lawless to Homosexual Sodom

As in Ezekiel's prophecies when Israel left off God's statutes and laws he likened them to Sodomites. In Deuteronomy he says although they were planted as a true vine they have become as the vine of Sodom and Gomorrah.

"For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter" (Dt 32: 32)

The sin and failing of Sodom was always homosexuality and it is a sign in today's world that Israel and any other nation that gives in to LGBT agenda have passed the mark and is due for God's intervention.

Homosexuals see injustice on every level of society because they are not fully accepted and their normal is seen by most as damaging perversity. They don't realize that the more their plight becomes accepted as the norm, the closer the rest of the world is in danger of judgment.

Why the words of the 'sinner in chief' trump the words of the 'commander in chief'

The Apostle Paul was a chosen vessel to the Lord and full apostolic authority was granted to him. Every word Paul spoke was to be seen as the will and counsel of the living God. Yet, he humbled himself when considering the great mercy of God and labeled himself as the 'chief of sinners.' (1 Tim 1: 15) He stood by the word he had spoken to his death at the hands of Nero of Rome.

Mr. Obama is a pompous politician and former community organizer who prior to his run for president accomplished virtually nothing of any notable significance. He then began, by simple proclamation, to suspend, deny and dismiss the words of Paul as obscure and not worth taking seriously.

He has been conspicuously missing on every major issue as it unfolds. Benghazi, the border problems, the Ukraine, Isis, the IRS scandal, and the slaughter of the Yazidi's and Christians and their children, are just a few current events that Mr. Obama seems to think are of no particular significance to warrant his direct attention. Besides the vacation spots and the back nine of the best golf greens, he has attended the recent "Gay Games" in Cleveland, Ohio in August.

Where does his authority come from and who has appointed the commander in chief to sit in as the theologian in chief. What part of his oath of office confers these imagined powers to him? What calling, edict or move of God would authorize Mr. Obama to change the will and clear counsel of God? If you said none, then you are not far from the kingdom of God, but to be fair compare these two statements and decide for yourself.
I believe in civil unions that allow a same-sex couple to visit each other in a hospital or transfer property to each other. . . I don't think it should be called marriage, but I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state. If people find that controversial, then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans. That's my view. But we can have a respectful disagreement on that.

    - Barack Obama
Since Christ gave Paul his authority; then Paul's words are never at odds or contrary to the words of his Lord. Also the idea of Paul's words being obscure is to say they are either not well known, or hard to understand. In fact, they are some of the most well-known words in the entire world. Hard to understand?

Not so, but they are as clear as a bell.
"Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator – who is forever praised. Amen.

Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them."

    - The Apostle Paul (Ro 1: 24-32 NIV)
The days of warning about judgments due to perversion are over, these judgments have already begun and terrorism is part of it.

Obama invites argument – Paul does not

Make no mistake the judgments that perversions bring are not exclusive. Modern man has been on a downward spiral in all areas of morality for an entire generation. We are the most highly educated generation in history, but at the same time we are the most spiritually dumbed down generation as well.

We have primed our offspring with a blind adherence to the evolutionary model to explain our origins. Next, we have believed the exaggerated promise of empiricism and technology to solve all of man's problems.

Statesmanship has given way to greedy irresponsible and corrupt politicians who are more than willing to abandon the constitutional principles upon which this nation was founded.

Bringing up the rear are the godless, the perverted, conjoined with the fallen and apostate preachers of the gospel and leaders of the church. The push for the enforcement of the separation of church and state is now being handled by the god of this world himself (Satan) who escapes the notice of most. His real agenda is the very separation of man and God.

The celebrities tickle our fancy with glitter and glamour. They are the teaspoon of sugar applied to make the medicine go down, but they are losing the power to soften the sight of children beheaded in nations where we once fought and died.

We fill the empty spaces with texting, handheld toys, blather on our cells and a flood of media entertainment that itself looks more and more like the regurgitation of the drunkard and the sewers of our cities being siphoned back to our desperately dehydrated moral condition.

Barack Obama said about his evolved view on what the Bible condemns – "But we can have a respectful disagreement on that." It is safe to say that Paul would not be so respectful of Mr. Obama's conclusions. In fact, Paul warned that in the days when our world begins to spiral out of control it is not an opinion that kicks off the downward spin, but it is a satanically inspired lie.

"And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie." (2 Th 2: 11)

The line is drawn, the choice is ours to make. Do we accept the meanderings of a community organizer or the warnings of the Living God?

The hearts of men have not changed, but the call of God has not changed either. We will choose because the times demand it, the call has gone out – the choice is clear.

Is it the lie or the Lord?

The lie has already cost close to sixty million bodies lost to abortion, untold numbers of good minds have been lost to godless academia's hidden agenda. Character and what remains of the human heart have been hijacked by the morally repulsive trends of the pop-culture generations top voices and all that remains to be stolen and usurped is our very eternal destinies.

As the day of the evangelists impassioned call to salvation gives way to the more serious call to repent before the doors are closed, we see why the last messages of Christ were so urgent. To wit:

"He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last." (Rev 22: 11-13)
