The seven most powerful words in prophecy -- when the angel speaks to birds

We live in the most defiant age in history. The world is simultaneously trying to form one world religion at the same time it is trying to squash all authority of God and his warnings to a lost and dying generation. It is an age of contradictions, self-indulgence and high foolishness. How will it end?

The confusion of this generation is apparent when we see predictions of space warped inter-stellar travel to the stars being hyped, at the same time Morgan Freeman, A&E, and the History Channel are filling our minds with dozens of cataclysmic events that may after all – just wipe us all off the planet. So, which is it, are we headed to the stars, or are we just going to hell in a basket? No rock to stand on here.

To bolster man's plunge into reprobation, the secularists, atheists and those raising the flag of perversion and licentiousness over the nation are riding herd on children who pray over their lunch or dare to wear a cross to school, while they try to teach kindergartners about sexual bondage and hand out condoms to middle schoolers.

Is the nation, and the world, afraid of the meek and lowly Jesus – not at all! What they are afraid of is the words he spoke and the words of his Apostles and prophets. They have advanced far beyond argument and are now so convinced that it is all myth and nonsense that they just want it all to go away. It is fear that after all the arguments are considered, the entire message is true and they can intuitively sense that its fulfillment is near.

Even reprobate minds can discern some things.

"He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?" (Mt 16: 2-3)

Unfortunately, the words of Christ will not go away until they have been broadcast to everyone in this world. That too is prophecy. When the message has been universally heard, then the end will come. Here's a clue. That day, thanks to rapid worldwide communications technologies – is here.

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." (Mt 24: 14)

Don't Care for Details? – Let's Go to the Bottom Line

After spending nearly a half century comparing current events to scriptural prophecies I find myself in complete agreement with the best prophetic voices of the day – time as we know it, history as we have seen it, is about to meet the prophetic face to face. Uniformitarianism – the idea that everything will continue as it always has – will be shattered in a day.

When the trumpet is blown the world will not be ready, but in what may be the grandest of all contradictions it will ready itself to block the fulfillment of prophecy. Illogicality, denial and full rebellion will be at their peak when a world led by the last, and worst ruler of all history will gather armies to the valleys of Israel to battle against the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Beyond a third world war the Battle of Armageddon is the last war this weary old world will ever see. It is the most futile act mankind will ever generate and ends in total defeat. The armies of the world will gather in vain.

The defeat of the world's forces is followed by an angel (un-named) that stands prominently in front of the sun and speaks to birds.

Centuries of mocking and dis-believing that the omnipotent God has full authority over all creation including animals has resulted in scoffers who insist God could not possibly speak to animals and have them come two by two into Noah's Ark.

They still doubt that God sent his angel to speak to the ravaging hungry lions and told them not to approach the Prophet Daniel throughout the long night he spent in the den with the king of beasts. (Da 6: 22)

All doubt about animals hearing and obeying divinity will be removed in one single angelic proclamation that will end with the greatest single gathering of carrion eating fowl in the history of our world. Alfred Hitchcock's popular movie about vengeful birds will seem as pure understatement by comparison.

"And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great." (Rev 19: 17-18)

Two Supper Invitations – Which One Will You Attend?

Revelation chapter nineteen describes not one, but two great suppers. One is for the carrion eating birds to come and feast on the remains of those slain in the Battle of Armageddon. The other is an invitation to attend the "Marriage Supper of the Lamb." (Rev 19: 9)

God holds out these invitations to anyone who wants to attend, until the very last minute of time. Not willing that any should perish Christ beckons to unbelievers and scoffers alike in a constant stream of words we have always known as the gospel. The rest is entirely up to you.

There is no charge whatsoever to attend the marriage supper of the Lamb – the Lamb has already paid the price. There is, however, a single protocol that must be observed.

According to Matthew 22: 2-14, the only single requirement for this wedding; is that you come adorned with a wedding garment. The garment is also provided free by the Master of the wedding, it is called the garment of salvation. It requires only repentance and faith in God.

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (John 1: 12)

An Invitation with a Warning? – The Seven Most Powerful Words in Prophecy

Sandwiched between the pictures of two completely opposite kinds of "suppers" is a seven word warning from the supreme authority of the entire universe and beyond. It is strategically place between the descriptions of these suppers so that none will presume, and none will despair.

It is a promise to the believer that they will sit down and eat with the Master and it is a warning to the unbelieving world that the supper described is inevitability more surely than the rising of the sun.

Look at these words very carefully because your entire future depends on how you respond to them.

After the angel describes the supper of the Lamb and just before he tells him of the supper of the fowls he proclaims...

"These are the true sayings of God." (Rev 19: 9b)

Revelation is not a book for the idle mind and the musing of speculators and scoffers, it is the last warning to a world whose time is so much shorter than anyone can imagine.
