Statistics, the fast track to hell? -- Are you following the crowd?

Judicial appointee John E. Jones III declared Pennsylvania's ban on same sex marriage unconstitutional on May 20, 2014. Jones said "It was time to toss such laws into the ash heap of history."

It would be all too easy just to say that there is a day coming when human souls will be sent to an ash heap because they chose man's musings and perversions over God's laws. One of the five terms used to describe or refer to hell is Gehenna (Gk) which literally means "the garbage dump of human souls," it being the place where those who could not be redeemed are finally deposited.

Why Jones or any other judge would choose to use such a phrase is evidence that the trends and the pop-culture notions of the day have become pervasive and may be more of a guiding factor in today's social structure than it has ever been in history. But is it safe?

Polls are swift to run to the aide of the latest social trends and are often regarded as the way that is now acceptable and correct. Acceptable perhaps – correct, not a chance.

Isn't a non-sequitur to insist on not becoming part with any "man-made religion," but being perfectly willing to follow man-made laws or PC trends directly into hell?

Because nearly 70 percent of millennials now think same sex marriage is perfectly OK, that doesn't change God's plan, set in motion before the foundation of the world, that marriage should be between one man and one woman.

Two of the plainest verses of scripture in the Bible, one from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament are abundantly clear regarding following a crowd to do just about anything.
"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat." (Mt 7: 13)

"Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment." (Ex 23: 2)
Following the crowd on moral issues is always a bad choice, but especially as we approach the nearing of the second coming of Christ.

The Apostle Paul warned that men will fully agree to slide off into reprobation the world over. (2Tim 3: 1-7) It will happen fast and will set in motion the last day's judgment of God. That judgment ends with the destruction of every major city (Rev 16: 19) and worldwide destruction. Then Christ removes all authority over this planet from the hands of men.

In the interim it may seem darkness is succeeding, but no darkness can quench the light. By bringing consensus to evil, all that men do is retain the right to stay unhindered in their own darkness. It is a shallow, but ultimately, a very costly victory.

Reprobation and decline have a very observable and discernable pattern. It is no mystery to those who are guided by something above or transcendent. Personal viewpoints of morality or morality derived from the consensus of the crowd, always follows the same fivefold pattern. Let's see.

Introduction: This is usually accomplished in small increments so society is not shocked; immorality has to come in slowly – like roots of a tree.

Statistical Reviews: From the Barna to the Pew reports, statistics are monitored, reviewed and published; when a majority consensus is reached the iron is hot for the striking.

Common Law: When a consensus is reached the issue becomes a matter of political correctness. Want to stay with the crowd – don't buck the crowd. Now you can lose your job, your reputation and more for bucking the PC common law like the Mozilla chief or the Benham brothers and others.

Common Law becomes actual law: When broad incongruous hate crime laws and special protections for minorities are enacted into law, totalitarianism is aiding political correctness. The result is tyranny, the death of free speech, and the loss of individual freedoms that others paid so dearly to provide.

Judgment: This is the one only spiritual people and those grounded in the transcendent moral undergirding of the bible can see coming. It is both the general law of reciprocation and the specific promises of God that men will be held accountable in all generations not just the ancient past.

We Don't Need No Stinkin' Laws

We are urged by statistics to lighten up or not notice when evil is running rip shod over the fabric and weave of our nation. We are required to acquiesce to pop-culture waves of acceptable thinking.

We are not allowed to say that it is not just Muslim extremism that is killing the innocent and enslaving women, but it is the Quran itself which clearly teaches these things to all Muslims. Hate is in the book!

We cannot mention that the highest rate of STD's, suicides, violence among partners and incidences of child abuse is highest among homosexuals. We must accept their kisses in public or be raked over the coals of PCs inquisitors and punishers.

We can't tell our kids that pot is the drug for idiots without a clue or that having sex with anyone or everyone leads to disease, death and general confusion.

PC is fast becoming liberalism with a badge and shield to protect it, and a means of prosecuting and persecuting those who have never bought it, and in the near future will die resisting it.

"And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled." (Rev 6: 10–11)

Here is what we know for sure. Judge John E. Jones may be able to chuck the moral laws of God into the "ash heap of history," but he will be powerless and fully ashamed when the eternal souls of men are thrown into the ash heap of Gehenna because they believed he was right.
