America -- fear and the Lord of Misrule

"Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe." (Proverbs 29: 25 NIV)

In 1981 Americans elected an actor to be president – times were good. In 2008 we elected a president, who it turns out, is an actor – times are fearful.

One of the best written articles anyone could read was written by Britain's Lord Monckton and published on Joseph Farah's WND. It is within Monckton's article that one of the most horrible truths can be found.

Addressing the battle Sheriff Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona has had trying to get officials to seriously view his findings on the perennially present question of Obama's birth certificate forgery, Moncton noted that it is not the lack of evidence that hinders Arpaio – it is the presence of fear.

In a piece entitled "Obama Identity Fraud: The Net Closes In," Monckton says "A concerned citizen sent every congressman, every senator, every state governor and attorney general, every member of Obama's Cabinet, every member of the Democratic and Republican National Committees and every member of the Supreme Court a copy of my own briefing paper summarizing the evidence for forgery. Fewer than half a dozen replies were received. There are a lot of fraidy-cats in your governing class."

Monckton says he is not a 'Birther,' but he is amazed at the raw fear shown by anyone who is asked to take a serious look at the facts uncovered by Arpaio's certified cold case posse. It seems that these days no one is taking President Obama's hidden background very seriously because they are not taking President Roosevelt very seriously. Roosevelt is known extensively for this bit of sage advice. "Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself."

If the case for forgery were leveled at any one of us, Arpaio's evidence would prevail – we would already be in the penitentiary.

America is the hound being ridden by the trumpet blowing hare and often associated with the ancient "Lord of Misrule" because we are gripped with fear. We fear we have made a mistake or we fear that if we don't continue in our mistake we will lose our reputation. America was once known as a fearless nation, the 'home of the brave,' what has gone wrong?

While main stream media gushes over Barack Obama, the truth is not a premium, but bravery cannot be subdued forever. The change we can believe in is slowly giving way to the changes we can't hold back. One microcosmic, but resounding example of such bravery comes from NFL offensive lineman Matt Birk of the Baltimore Ravens. Birk refuses to meet with the president along with his team mates at the invitation of the president. Birk says it is because of Mr. Obama's call for God to bless Planned Parenthood (blasphemous?) in his speech at Washington's Marriot Hotel on April 26, 2013.

One show of fearlessness can be contagious! Let the contagion begin.
