Prophecy 2013 -- the year winners become losers
Be careful what you ask for

An old adage among Christians is 'Be careful what you ask God for because you just might get it,' but this year, more than any other in our history, that adage has become a reality in politics with the re-election of Barack Obama.

Journalists have well covered the dire predictions a second term with Obama is almost sure to produce, but few speculations include prophecy. In this piece we will separate the obvious from the prophetic, for obvious reasons.

Romney pulled in 59 million votes against Obama's 62 million and since 74 million Americans are under voting age that means about 155 million people did not vote at all. Who are these people who could care less about who is chosen to lead this country? It does not require a prophecy to predict that they will soon wake up to the hard fact that their disinterest will be the most costly dithering in U.S. history.

Barack Obama's record on the economy, foreign policy, energy and the moral issues should be warning enough that the future will not get much better, but the pop culture voters who think a big smile and a bag of promises are all it takes to make a leader will be the most surprised. Even the poorest powers of deduction will be able to conclude that the winners in this election will soon be seen as the biggest losers in our entire history as a nation.

We wobbled through the primaries choosing a different candidate almost every few weeks to bolster with support and campaign cash and finally chose a one issue (jobs and the economy) candidate who left most of the other issues in limbo. We waited for Romney to call out the President on abortion, same sex marriage, religious freedom, the Fast and Furious gun running scheme, Benghazi, bailouts, handouts, big government, green giveaways that failed and all the secreted and hidden school, passport and other records Mr. Obama has kept from public view, but all we got was silence. For this Romney lost. Neither God nor man are going to favor someone who will not tackle the real problems; all of them.

Now we look to alternate remedies such as noting the vote fraud so apparent in Ohio, Maine Florida, Maryland and Virginia. We talk of a Continental Congress and the fact that if enough states do not cast their electoral votes in December the election would be decided by the republican led house. We talk of impeachment for both malfeasances of office and treason in the Benghazi affair that cost four Americans their lives. Most, if any, of these stop gaps are not likely to happen. What is likely to happen is that one man with very bad judgment will bring this once grand nation to its knees in every area of its national life from the economy to the morality. Superpower no more!

The Israel Factor

The curious thing about maxims, aphorisms and common sayings is that while some tend to be true they are not always based on the truth. When God says something in the realm of cause and effect, it becomes an immutable law for man. It doesn't matter whether we believe in God or his immutable laws they are in place throughout our history and will not be removed. One example is the law of sowing and reaping. (Gal 6: 7, 8) It is much bigger than 'what goes around comes around' because it is established by the author of all things for a powerful purpose. Sometimes referred to as 'the law of reciprocation, it is the one rule that you can break yourself on, but will not be broken by anyone.

Two laws of God produce a powerful and immutable warning to an entire planet. When combined they dwarf the power of nuclear bombs and shrink the pride of man to the level of brute beasts. Let's view these two together.

"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." (Isa 55: 11)

"And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed" (Gen 12: 3)

These passages do not mince words. One says God means business, when he says something, he always takes it seriously and he always follows through whether we take him seriously or not. The second is that every nation on earth will be weighed in the light of what they do with Israel.

America's policy concerning Israel is on the wane due to Barack Obama's indifference to Israel and his attachments to the Muslim Brotherhood throughout the Middle East. We can expect the usual rhetoric; calls for cease fire, peace talks and financial aid that tacitly are proof that we are still allied and working together.

Obama's foreign policy in regards to Israel is more than offset by one recent development in Libya. Let's use the common vernacular to hone in on the outcome of Obama's Israel policy. The question raised is summary and requires no political science genius to answer.

In Israel's present troubles and in the event it begins to escalate how quickly can we expect the United States to respond with military intervention and other support? That question must be weighed in the light of Benghazi. If Obama and the most advanced intelligence and military response capable nation in the world was unable to save four Americans — what can Israel expect from the U.S. in her worst case scenario?

America's Israel policy cannot stack up next to God's Israel policy. Anyone with the most basic knowledge of Biblical prophecy knows that in the near future, it is God, not man, which stands up for Israel. In accordance with Ezekiel's prophecies found in chapters 36-39, no nation gives aid to Israel when she is surrounded and attacked by Arab armies who are aided by Israel's northern most neighbor. They are all stopped cold and completely destroyed, quite without the help of any nation in the free world.

The Reprobation and Apostasy Factor

In a world that worships knowledge and the pursuit of intelligence it seems a great trick or full blown deception seems to have been laid on them all from one end of the globe to the other. Is that possible? In fact it is a promise of scripture that while the last generation will be pursuing more knowledge they will give up the knowledge of the truth, or more accurately the love of the truth. (2 Tim 3: 7) Huge gaps between perception and reality, truth and error and morality and anarchy have already begun to sweep the world. Politics has slid into power grabbing mindless corruption while statesmanship and honor are almost laughed off the platform.

In an example, a recent video appeared on the internet in which voters in Boston were standing in the long lines waiting to vote as an interviewer asked them basic questions about why they were out to vote. After they exuberantly explained how they wanted to keep moving 'forward' (Obama's 2012 campaign slogan) they were asked some fundamental questions about current affairs and politics in general.

No one in that Bean Town crowd knew who Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi was or how many members of the house, senate or judiciary there are in each branch. What they were sure of is that abortions, gay rights and free school money from Obama are in their opinion — "moving forward."

Morality has been replaced with reprobation and even the most refined definition of morality would be lost on these kinds of people. Word pictures would fail to jar the last day's crowds from their slogan driven course of life.

Pictures of two men holding hands at an altar while professing marriage vows or the bloody mangled bodies of the unborn lying in profusion in plastic lined medical waste boxes fail to disturb them. This is the definition not of reprobation and immorality alone, it is a vivid picture of an entire generation tripping down the path to reprobation with cell phones and gadgets in hand and a head full of dreams of better days just after getting out of college — all courtesy of big government.

The rise of reprobation is part and parcel to the prophecies of the last days. The reason for the great slide into both immorality and reprobation are clearly cited, but largely ignored. In this generation where God is dismissed by the so called 'intelligent' generation the great dumbing down has long since begun. To wit:

"And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient" (Ro 1: 28)

True Prophecy Can be scrutinized, but It Does Not Apologize

I have always been amazed by the fact that I have accurately seen the future countless times but God keeps the messages about America to a basic minimum up to this moment in my life. Pondering this repeatedly has led me to conclude that God has his own sense of prophetic economics. Since the Bible is replete with thousands of prophecies about the last days that go unheard, unheeded and ignored why should he add yet more material to bother an unbelieving world?

A recent well known online Christian site published a four page prophetic utterance from one of its founders that read like a rebuke to Christians for being so critical of Barack Obama? It said that the criticism was producing a 'Jezebel' like spirit in the White House. Whew?

The spirit in the White House has nothing to do with Christian criticism, in fact if the Christians that are already part of the prophesied apostasy of the church were more discerning and critical of Barack Obama starting back in 2008, he would not even be in the White House.

Much of what is being called prophecy today is pure nonsense and in many instances should be rebuked itself along with those who are going headlong into the doctrines of devils (1 Tim 4: 1) and leaving scripturally sound doctrine. (2 Tim 4: 3) The aforementioned prophecy may have simply been a case of fleshly exuberance substituting for Holy Spirit guided revelation. This is one of the most intense periods of history our world will ever undergo; it is not the day to play the prophet for the titillation of the unsuspecting, or for fame and fortune. Christ made this abundantly clear. It is a day that will cost many lives and nations, kingdoms and empires will topple like so many dominos in a row.

"For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." (Mt 24: 21, 22)

The two clearest and most compelling revelations I have been given to date have come with a mandate and a command not to hide or change them in any fashion. The first is that the period of Christ's return is within my lifetime or shortly thereafter. I am quickly approaching the generally allotted time of my three score years and ten; you can do the math.

The second was shown specifically for America. It will, starting now, this year and forward, begin to sink as a world economic power. We will see poverty and the lack of consumer goods and basic life sustaining food supplies disappear on a scale we have never seen since the great depression.

Out of Europe's financial collapse will arise the most powerful despot the world will ever encounter, on the wings of the most unusual economic system the world has ever seen. Economically crippled America will see his system as a godsend along with the rest of the world.

The recent election results have proved that a few food stamps, a cell phone and forgiven school loans can buy the votes of the dumbed down pop culture minions of the nation, but 16 trillion in debt, billions in wasted green giveaways and shovel ready jobs that don't exist have been mostly disregarded. As for someone to lead the nation into an economic collapse, the record shows, we have chosen the right man for the job.

It is far too late, to once again listen to phrase repeated so often in the Forrest Gump movie; "stupid is as stupid does." It's a done deal!

The Three Caves Factor

In the seventh century one man (Muhammad) sat alone in the caves of Medina receiving a vision which he doubted came from God, but after the encouragement of his wife he presented it to the world as an all new religion that would eventually sweep 1.5 billion people into following his teachings. Thirteen centuries later as the world struggles with heightened technologies, world problems and the threat on nuclear doom in the background it now presumes to force every person on earth into its grip.

But what are we being invited into? Women are a little higher than common livestock, beheadings and stoning are commonplace and the way of life among Muslim populations seems just a pinch above the level of cavemen. What came out of the caves of Medina seems totally unattractive to anyone except those who are forced to believe it or die.

The second cave is a manmade tomb carved out of the side of a mountain by a rich man named Joseph of Arimathaea. Jesus Christ who presented himself as the Son of God, healed the sick, raised the dead and proclaimed he was the only pathway directly to God, was placed there as we say, dead as a door nail. Three days later he emerged alive to seal the promise that he is not only the King of kings but he is, as he told Martha, the resurrection and the life. (John 11: 25)

What came out of Joseph's private cave has since been made public throughout the world and it is the promise and proclamation that we will all emerge from our own caves of darkness to be judged by the one who spent three days in the belly of death.

At the blowing of the great trump of God nations will cease to exist as they do today and the rule of fallen man will be finished forever.

"And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever." (Rev 11: 15)

Finally a third cave is mentioned in the bible which the wicked, the abortionist, the same sex marriage crowd and the sinners in general will seek to hide themselves in, but in vain.

The great prophet Isaiah describes man's frantic search for the caves in the last hours of time as we know it. "And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth." (Isa 2: 19)

It is John the Revelator who details the reasons men flee to the caves, howbeit in total futility.

"And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" (Rev 6: 14-17)

Three caves, three doors, three separate fates await the entire world and to the last minute the choice is always ours to make.
